Hey Frederick, just installed my SSD in the chassis (someone should likely mention that SSD take wee tiny screws...not standard bay screws...ahem...) and booted up my computer. Just about to run the Samsung Data Transfer app - wish me luck!

With my computer it turns out I didn't need an adapter to add the SSD into an internal bay (the plastic tray had the holes in the correct locations), however the additional bay screws that came with the computer were too big. So the adapter plate I bought (thinking I'd need it) is excess parts at this point, but at least I could use the SSD screws from that package. And hey, guess what? I'm typing to you from my new SSD boot drive! I took the lazy approach and swapped out SATA connections so that the SSD shows as C & D (I cloned the recovery partition as well), that way I shouldn't have to manually switch any program defaults. Will see what happens when I get the HDD re-connected. Hopefully it will be seen as just a new storage drive.

@@TheAshtarr No it is not, I bought myself a prebuilt PC which has a 500 GB SSD and a 2 TB HDD in it, I just didn't have the HDD partitioned. So no, it isn't free, you have to buy yourself a 2 TB HDD for it to work

i watched this in 2016 to set up my old hdd
i watched it again in 2018 to activate my ssd
then again for my hdd
then in 2019 again for my new hdd
now im watching it again for my 2TB new hdd again...

Yes Never Install Pc Hardware While Its On
Also Turn Off Power Supply Switch Then Disconnect Power Supply Cord To Be Safe

I didnt have unallocated space. I had to shrink my C: drive before i could add a new drive. Just something i think us non-Techs need to know
I’m doing that as I write this, I couldn’t find my unallocated space on disk management at all. Crossing my fingers and hoping it works. EDIT: It just separated the remaining data from the SSD
How do you shrink your drive since I have no unallocated space either

@@ovotohollywood9826 Never use windows disk management as it is lacking many basic features and is quite restrictive in what you can do. Instead download the free version of "EaseUS Partition Master".
Once open right click on the C: Drive and then click on "Resize/Move" and you should see a blue bar, that shows the memory within the C: drive. Any free space within the drive will show up as light blue on the right side.
You should also see a dot on the right side of the bar, move it to the left and that will create unallocated space, which shows up as white inside the bar instead of blue.
Hit OK once you've set the amount of unallocated space you need. Next you have to apply the settings in the top left corner.

I like some of the transitions, but sometimes they're a bit too much and are seemingly random. Since we use these persistent elements that transition across pages to indicate some kind of relationship between the previous and the next states, some of your transitions confuse me because I can't immediately see what the relationship is.
For example 2:23 of the selectable tiles (which weren't selected) transition into being two switches... does that mean anything? are they related in some way? I see this as random and a bad use of the design language. However, at 1:14 I like the transition from switches to the ticks on a paper, that makes sense to me. Epic presentation tho

its been a week I know but for anyone else with this problem you probably didn't plug the drive in right, also remember to make sure you plugged in a power cable from the power supply
