1:10 what Gaga did pulling away from the mic, it was actually an appropriate intention and it's a sort of effect singers do when they're sustaining a note (commonly high), they slowly pull away the mic from their mouth to give off this fading effect with the note.

It seems quite unlikely that she just pulled it away for a "fading effect" considering that she sung whole phrases whilst the mic was pulled away; it was more of a display of her ability to project incredibly well.

She is brilliantly trained and really takes care of her voice. The range is incredible and the whistle notes are more spot on and complex than anyone I've ever heard. She can sing more than one note at the same time which is impressive to me. I think people underestimate how technically difficult her songs are to sing. You really have to be on the ball if you're going to sing a Mariah song, no being lax.

I think this definitely showcases those singers with experience knows what they are talking about cause they follow their own advice. Some may not follow their own advice but I notice those who been in it longer most of the time follow their own advice. This also made me appreciate how keen their ear in musicality is. I noticed how great of an ear Jennifer, and Beyonce has and appreciated it. Its always great to see Legends like Celine, Whitney and Mariah giving advice cause you can learn from them.
I only wished Whitney was here to hear Celine sing A Change is Gonna Come in original key live, for Aretha at her burial tribte.

That's your opinion but judging from the overwhelming responses, many loved Celine's emoting , delivery and perfect pitch vocals that night. Many were crying and engaged. It's 1 of the reasons she was honored with 2 PhDs along with Aretha.

Celine was and still is criticized by the U.S. as she is a not born resident.
She was born into a very large poor family. Sleeping in a shoe box at birth then graduating to a dresser drawer. As a white woman, Celine could see some familiarity as well. I see it.
It took her years to break into the U.S. music market as a French crossover from Canada.
The struggle was real for Celine.

I felt Celine’s was good too, as the worst thing you can do after a fail is just cut the note and freeze up. Try and run down, or do a nice melisma but don’t make it scarily obvious.

Some of these "not following her advice" is actually just the experienced singer thoughtfully making exceptions to these rules. The advice is for less experienced singers to have a better foundation before they start messing with the rules.
When you’re hitting a long and very loud note that you almost have to scream it’s normal to pull the microphone away so it doesn’t get too loud and starts to sound weird
