Those are real world conditions. So I want a machine that can have a duty cycle of at least 60% say at 100 amps with real life 110 volts and maybe an extension cord. Ye, but if you want to see what theese machines offer (apart from an high quality product) you should use the machine torch, without the pedal. I mean you can plug in the pedal, but the torch is the biggest part of the fronius philosophy imo. You can also set job mode and you can fully emulate a pedal: let's say you have 200 amps, you can set 20 jobs with 10 amps increasing between ech other. You can switch between jobs while welding with the right button, pushing it up, or down
I have 2 Fronius a Transpocket 180 and a Transteel 2200 one thing you will notice, the are silent no fan noise till you push them to their duty cycle which for me very seldom. They aren't cheap but very well made industrial type units. This Trans Tig is the same size and similar weight to the Transpocket 180. ( 19 lb)
You got to get used to their torch, but the buttons are really nuts. If you work in 4t you can set a secondary current that you can enable switching up your left button. Not to mention the right button wich can be used to switch between jobs if you work in job mode. If you get used to it, you can avoid to use the pedal for most of the bench jobs too and it's really handy when you are not at bench/positioner. What does that rocket stove hold? That main pipe looks like it could hold 3000 lbs. but the rack on the top looks like dropping it would bend it... Part of it looks durable, part of it looks breakable. Is it easy to clean? Does resin build up inside?
The point of the kit is a fun welding project that’s also something functional. If you’re preparing for the end you should probably build something larger.
@@JustVoss I understand. In that case, it seems you've created a kit to practice important welds. The thickness of the body allows extra practice to restart/grind down. Anyone welding that together should also have an ability to weld any type of base or pan rack they want. I thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Welding is high temperature chemistry. The main problem I got w tig is that my filler melts before it gets to the puddle, I tried turning down my amps but then I don’t get enough penetration.
@@argentosebastian it's used for thin sheet metal, it helps the welder to join the 2 parts without using filler. It's cool, tbh At work I just used it once, then it' just faster to set the current between 150/200 amp, set the pregas to 0.1 seconds, with no ramps (nor up or downslope), machine set in 2t and just blast the 2 parts with the faster switch on/release that you can. It has a built in function for this as well, wich is the spt (speed tacking), but the shortest blast is 0.05 sec and you can be easily faster doing it manually.
Sign me up for a stove kit. Not sure about the Fronius. How does it compare to the Miller Maxstar. Maxstsr is simpler, smaller and less expensive though a bit less power.
The Maxstar 210 is actually more expensive from what I found. Both are on par with each other as terms of overall quality. I'm not sure what the maxstar has for individual features. The Maxstar 210 is listed at 38lbs and I just weighed the TransTig 210 and it was 20.8lbs.
Did not know the Maxstar 210 had gotten so big. I use my Maxstar 140 STH for auto sheetmetal and 1/8 inch steel. It handles it easily and seems to be a good deal smaller than the Fronius.
Nice. I've been looking at the Fronius for a couple of years. I'm just a DIYER so hard to justify almost 3grand for a welder, BUUUT, it does Everything. Buy once cry once.
Not getting paid? You received a $2600.00 Fronius TransTig 210 for nothing, THAT IN MY BOOK IS GETTING PAID! I wish I wasn't getting paid like that. Do you have to return it?
Its a top of the range pro machine , root welds on gas pipes etc , there are a few other brands up on that level , but its top tier stuff. but the price reflects it.
Allow me to vent for a minute. This has nothing to do with this vid. I just got off the phone with John Deere, and seen this fronius vid, and wanted to use the platform to vent. I do paving. If I give an estimate for $8000, they will want me to do it for $5800, and I give in all the time, making way less than normal. I wanted an estimate from Jesco (a John Deere dealer), for my 332 skid steer. It’s fine, only thing is, sometimes it says the right joystick is not centered. Figure recalibrate the joystick, change the oil, fix couple of lights, rewire a harness plug (two wires), and a new windshield wiper. That’s it. Figured $1500. Then I said, they’ll probably be $2200. Turns out they said to do those things it was $6600. (And that doesn’t even include the joystick recalibrated, they forgot that, even though that’s the only real problem it has.) there’s more,.... they said they checked my machine for other work, they said my machine needs $21000 worth of work. Said I should come in so we can figure out a trade in price. They’re crooks. Don’t deal with them. Anyway, that’s it. I seen fronius, and I thought of that. Because fronius in my opinion is the best, but they’ll so much money. But everyone is a crook. Their $1500 machine probably costs them $38 to make.

Hey man what's your thoughts on multi purpose welders for someone just getting started that wants to try there hand at a few different types? Thanks
ESAB welders come with regulators.
Everlast welders come with regulators
It's metallurgy in action. Without ndi welds are visually inspected for strength... The better you educated enthusiasts, the better all welds on the world will be.
do you understand is for steal only DC it runs $2600-3000 and if you want one that does AC/DC its MagicWave 230i its $4800-5200 WOW I hope your going to do alots of welds to pay for this unit !!
What an awesome little welder! Great video Justin 🔥💯
Thanks 👍
Nice video, and I do want the old ford behind you :)
Everything is for sale ;)
Hi Justin. Is there a flux core or mig welder you recommend thats under $300?
The main problem I got w tig is that my filler melts before it gets to the puddle, I tried turning down my amps but then I don’t get enough penetration.
What size filler are you using? Sounds like you’re using too small of a filler rod.
Feel like fronius has been trying to blast the market lately. I have yet to find a bad review on a fronius.
Good video congratulations but why is to expensive??
Fronius is literally top of the line, so it’s all about what you’re looking for.
you should play with the tac function, its really cool
Will do, I thought about it for that video but was running long
What is the tac function?
@@argentosebastian it's used for thin sheet metal, it helps the welder to join the 2 parts without using filler.
It's cool, tbh At work I just used it once, then it' just faster to set the current between 150/200 amp, set the pregas to 0.1 seconds, with no ramps (nor up or downslope), machine set in 2t and just blast the 2 parts with the faster switch on/release that you can.
It has a built in function for this as well, wich is the spt (speed tacking), but the shortest blast is 0.05 sec and you can be easily faster doing it manually.
Amazing welder
It sure is
Have you tried ceramic coating the inside of the stove for corrosion resistance?
I’ve been waiting forever for a video from you😅
is this A36 or are you using 308 for the rocket stoves?
I use 312, but doesn't really matter. Could use 308 or just 70
Could l please have a link to the tig gloves please?! Thank you 👌super video !!
Thanks! And they are linked in the description under Amazon links.
No pulse? I tried pausing on the menu card but could't get a clear reading of it.
It has pulse on stick and tig
Yes it does have pulse, I didn't end up demoing it in this video but may soon.
Not getting paid? You received a $2600.00 Fronius TransTig 210 for nothing, THAT IN MY BOOK IS GETTING PAID!
I wish I wasn't getting paid like that. Do you have to return it?
did you buy the welder with your own money ?
What else would be comparable to something like this for under $2500? Does not seem to crazy for what you get.
I may have a video that fits that coming soon! I’d like to try it out before I say yes this for sure.
@@JustVoss Good deal
@Justin Voss I would also like to know what you would recommend someone to get as their first tig welder. Loving the tig content. Keep it coming!
Rayenator primeweld tig 225. 3 year warranty, ck worldwide tig torch, nice pedal and they cover shipping both ways if you have an issue
Fronius AKA ferrari of welders.
Fronius makes some nice welding machines. What is the lowest amperage on it?
3 and it is WICKED stable down there. if you want to see more on it check out my video on the Transtig
@@HouseofChop Thanks, I did see another video about it that had down to 3 amps. That's great. Fronius does make some nice welders.
Yeah sorry 3 amps, I checked that last week because of your question but hadn’t actually tried it myself yet.
So you learned all the settings in this 10 min video ??
It's interesting how the big European brands like Kemppi, Fronius, Lorch etc don't show up on American RUclips vids. Why is that?
Are the sides plastic or metal?
Does it have lift arc?
Cool bong
You are making Fire stand or Rocket stove
yep!
what is up with that drop shipping you're talking about? anyone got details about this? thanks
whats with the crazy glitching, I was expecting some fight club inserts there
There shouldn’t be any..
Justin Voss ok ok. I don’t wanna start timestamping stuff but something kinda crazy is he happening.

If I go pro one day I'mma get me one of dem Fronious welders
Great idea
The compressor is missing it's pallet...
I know.. sad times 😢
Relatively new to welding, no ac means that you can't weld aluminum, right?
not entirely true. you "can" weld aluminum with dcep and helium I do believe. don't quote me on that. Its not very good with thin stuff though.
@@scrapmanindustries you can use pure helium and dc tig. people go ape shit on a machine that doesnt have ac. i dont get it. anytime i need aluminum welded i use mig or give the guy down the road a case of beer and he tigs it for me
@@sbranham86 pure helium is pretty expensive lol, maybe not in the u.s.a., but in europe it is; also with dcen and helium you can weld heavy stuffs with no heat control; if you weld some 2 mm aluminum in this way you will have an horrible result.
Mig is fine, but tig produces an higher quality weld.
This machine is not intended to work with alu; they have the mw series for that.
It's expensive, but i mean, it's for professionals, not for garage warriors.
Theese products are not intended for guys welding for hobby: this tt worth every penny of the 2500 dollars it costs and if a professional can't afford a 2500 dollars welding machine, well, he's not so much a professional lol
How much cost of this welding machine ?
What Voltage and breaker size does this require?
He said it could run on 110-250v and most of these that run at 200amps want around 33-37amps so a 40 or 50 amp breaker would be optimal
Bass how many Price this dubai please
Does it have AC and does it do aluminum
No this one does not but Fronius does have other machines that are great for aluminum.
Thank you
i built a smaller rocketstove but it doesnt work as well as yours
gabs pat2 they are tough to get working at maximum efficiency. Definitely have to have some good burning wood.
03:20 "Fronius is not paying for the video, but they were kind enough to send the welder out...." If you send the welder back to Fronius after the review, then no, you weren't paid.
If you keep the welder in exchange for the review, then it is considered compensation, since it's worth over 100 bucks. And, you will need to claim the fair market value (retail price) of the welder as income on your 2020 taxes.
How else would he be able to do an honest review for the company? Should he have to go buy it? That would be an expensive way to make videos.
@@ryanisabell1760 i feel if he was to buy it then it wouldnt be an honest review because he would have to justify spending that kind of money for it
@@ryanisabell1760 lots of channels pay for equipment they review.
Or he could send the welder back to the company.
It is what I said it is. But you know that because you quoted it..
Lol "not paying for the video just sent couple grand worth I'd free product"
