    I have had the pleasure of using many different tig machines at my places of employment here in Australia. Fronius are by far, The Best Tig welder i have ever used. On AC nothing compares to it. I currently use a Kemppi Mls 230 mastertig that an $8000 AUD Tig machine and its AC is rubbish compared to Fronius. Seriously you dont know how good they are till you try one. Everybody may hate the torch but i actually like them. Job mode i use to do AC Pulse fusion welds on 3mm 5052 Aluminium tool boxes 2000mm long welds full penetration. then as you go around the corner flick one of the levers and switch up to the next job mode as you change from an outside corner to a lap joint. This is where the key card comes in perfectly once you've dialled in those pulse settings you don't want nobody going in and changing them. They still have access to the saved modes but cant change the particulars of the modes. Now Fronius send me a welder and i rubbish on Kemppi and sing your praises more.

    Great review, very nice machine as I have one and love it. One correction, leave the head of torch "locked in", they all swivel around 360 degrees while locked. If you do it your way by unlocking to swivel, you then risk it popping off if you turn too far, especially with the water cooled torch. Also keep the rubber o-ring greased to prevent tearing. Cheers.

    After watching your reviews on the AHP and Primeweld 225 machines I choose the Primeweld for 2 big reasons. 1 In your review you had said you would opt for it to start out with because of it's capabilities and 2 after reading other reviews of both machines the Primeweld had best/least customer service complaints. It was a close call but I am thrilled with the Primeweld and even more stoked about the super flex lead. So much better then the manual gas valved torch and lead for my dc only Vulcan One Pro 220. Money well spent and Thank you

And I'd say it would run near full power all day. It looks like a industrial welder. I'd like to upgrade my 120v mig go a good but not expensive tig. I absolutely love the build quality and the features are awesome. I wish a company would come out with welding machines with the same build quality just striped to the bare minimum with features. I'd pay premium for superior built quality machine but all the additional features (synergic, pulse, stich, multi-process, etc.) just make Fronius machines unaffordable for me. I still would love to own one.

    • @TheFabricatorSeries
      @TheFabricatorSeries  6 лет назад +3

      I understand what you mean, but by comparison, what they have included (with the quality) vs the competition is very affordable. It's thousands less by the time you stack up other features and functions. It would be cool to see a very entry level with very high quality machine though. Maybe they'll be the first to do it.

    • @tonybaggett1984
      @tonybaggett1984 6 лет назад +1

      I hope so. You're right they are affordable when you add the features and functions. I'd just wish they made one that didn't have those features and functions (cause I wouldn't use them) to keep the price down. No one makes simple machines anymore. The ones that are made simple are junk build wise. Fronius definitely has caught my eye because of the build quality. No one is making machines as tough.

    • @TheFabricatorSeries
      @TheFabricatorSeries  6 лет назад +2

      A base line Dynasty 210 with nothing else is just $4k. Add a pedal, clamps, leads, etc - it goes up. Then add functions and features that the Fronius has that the Dynasty doesn't (that means buying a bigger Dynasty - not the 210). Now you have a $7k machine that still needs to be upgraded to match capabilities. Suddenly you're over $10k to do what this machine does. I think the Magicwave is a better investment.

      A bit late suggestion but as a beginner I don't think you should buy a fronius: I mean it'not smart to spend 5k for something you don't even know if you like. I'd just buy a decent made in china welding machine (like the everlast) wich is a lot cheaper and at the end of the day would get the job done

    I recently sold my Miller Syncrowave 250DX mainly because ever time I turned it ON it doubled my Electric Bill and had issues with it popping 60A C/B on heavy material. I bought this Fronius Magicwave 230I. Great machine, way more settings and adjustments than I know how to use. Smooth arc. I paired 230i with Miller Coolmate 4 water cooler and CK230SF Torch. I didn’t want the BIG Fronius Torch, since I never had hand controls on a Torch, I figured I wouldn’t miss out. First project was to make ZT Fab custom welding cart.

      Man, stel Is italian and I'm from italy; i'm a welder and i tried both the stel and the fronius mw2200: there's no comparison.
      Stel Is a nice machine, but the fronius Is totally in another level. Then i have to Say that in Italy the stel Is not that cheaper than the fronius: the mw 230 i costs 3300 euros (machine Only), while the stel costs 29xx euros.
      I've Heard in usa the htp Is quiet cheaper (same as the stel) and the fronius Is around 5k: well it's a bit pricey, but in my experience Is defenetly a Better machine.

    • @raulduke85
      @raulduke85 2 года назад

      @@Abu_Daud i only worked with a old cebora tig welding machine , pretty small, 180 amp peak current and it was a dc machine only: it was a nice little welding machine; but I don't know anything about the current models and honestly I don't know anyone using theese welders😅
      Stel makes good welding machines, but I'd say that especially on 3phase welding machines stel don't stand a chance against fronius, not cause it's bad, but just because magicwaves have more features (now the Iweld has a lot more) and if I have to spend 8k for a stel, I'd rather spend 10 k for a magicwave. Sorry about cebora but can't help about it; but if you are interested in italian brands I can tell you that CEA brand with the model matrix produce a pretty nice unit👍🏻
