The only con for this model is its lack of AC TIG.
Best mig welder on the market. Comes with a bag of .030 and a bag of .035 tips.

Given the state of the market currently, I'd say this WAS one of the best on the market if not the best. Competition has arrived and some of them look pretty good.
Who would be I referring to you might ask? Miller's newest digital boxes, HTP USA (Made by STEL Group It), Lincoln is updating it's line too, Everlast is catching up in some areas. That's a few I can think of.
@@Enonymouse_ yes another top MIG welder would be the Miller Millermatic 255 which offers pulse MIG and you could run aluminum with a push-pull gun. (We have a video on that if you are interested) There is also the Lincoln PowerMIG 260.
@@BakersGas yeah i've looked at the 255, it would fill a vacancy in my garage quite nicely. :)
Finally, Fronius actually f----- releases a welder in the NA market. I asked about Fronius NA products years ago, unsurprisingly (now) they had no answers on pricing or availability. Thanks for stocking these.

My "want" for that is teetering on the "need" side, good to see you selling them. Do you handle the warranty issues if needed? Oddly, both my new Thermal arc 201 and a new esab 160 had to be sent back. Doesn't mean anything, glad they were covered and turnaround was faster than my local welder repair shop ( they're slammed!)

Ahh so that is tough. The Fronius is an advanced unit. Super cool and unique. As far as capabilities the Fronius is cool but it does not have AC TIG and it does not have sMIG/(smart MIG set up for quick set up)
205ic doesnt do AC tig does it? so defo the Transteel, esab have reported reliability probs.
Was that 325' of 12 or 10 gauge extension cord & what 15 or 20 volt breaker on 110 ?

Yes you can, but with reduced weld output

Stick is great on this machine. We did not show it in this video we apologize. Maybe in an upcoming one! Yes there is a foot pedal you can get I can link it below for you. T There are a lot of mysterious things about this machine that people say it does but then other people and the manual say that it doesn’t. Is that pedal for the 2200 it does not say it’s compatible on your website. Also in your prior video you mentioned that it will do 6010 rod but the manual and things I’ve read says that it doesn’t do 6010 or 6011 electrodes. Does this welder monitor the arc at all like the rebel or does it simply set up the wire feed and voltage based on the input.?
Also one person said this was high frequency tig start, but others say it’s just lift start, can you help clarify?
The CMT technology is implemented on this model? Thanks!
This machine does not have CMT technology. You would need to step up to there Fronius TPSI mig machine.

Yes
No, not well and Fronius will tell you it cannot, I tried it anyway and found the arc to break occasionally, no where near as steady as say a transpocket that is designed for 6010-however you could run decent welds at a pinch stopping and starting.
how are you running .045 5356 through what looks like a .035-.040 liner? i only ask because the blue tip liner lock
We are that is what Fronius had recommended. There is an .045 liner recommended for aluminum as well I will link that below for you:

Fronius transteel 2200 or Miller Multimatic 255?
Depends on what you are using it for, but did you see the aluminum ran through the MIG gun (game changer) feel free to give us a call or email us and we can help you figure out what is best for your application.
so buy this or the miller 220 or the esab 205??
Really depends on your preference! We do finally have both in stock. Both are great machines!!! ESAB 205 has more TIG adjustability. However Miller you can switch processes much easier. If you have more questions check out the videos we made on them if you have not already. I will link them below:

between the 2200 and 2700 under equal conditions for example...mig weld (first test) and stick weld (second test) 3/8 plate. Will both welds looks equally good or is there any difference? Also, in your opinion is there any reason why to buy one over the other one?
2700 comes in 240v and 3phase options so be careful, heard the 2700 is better, bigger, weightier machine though.

Has it got a plastic wire feeder assembly? Also how much of the unit is plastic?
Yes. All the Fronius housings, side panels, motor plates are heavy duty plastic injected molded. This provides a lighter weight machine and allows customers to drag the machine without arcing out the equipment to the work. The Fronius equipment is always put through an accelerate life testing via drop testing, salt, water and use. Thanks for watching!
@@BakersGas I have that very machine here in the UK. I have had it for about 1 year and it has taken some stick and come back for more. With regards to the (plastic) case. Dont be fooled by it looking plastic, I had an over enthusiastic forklift driver bring me a steel cage to weld up and he dropped it onto the top red front part of the machine. I expected the worse when the cage was moved off the welder but it did no damage to it at all. Its not a cheaper welder but anything quality is never cheap.

Does the 2700 come with all the 2200 cones with? And what does the optional single phase on the 2700 do to its amperage output and how much?
For the most part the machine comes with all the same parts. The primary cord is fixed and its rated for 208 -480 single/three phase power. The max amperage output for the machine is 220 amps on single phase and 270 amps three phase. This machine is a four roll drive system and uses standard 44 LBS spools and 10LBS spools. The duty cycle is 100% at 170 AMPS - The welding carts are optional and can be added separately or at a later date. If you need a quote email us: support@bakersgas.net

This machine is a 5/16 rated on 230 V and 1/4 on 110 (20 AMP) - The duty cycle is 100% at 105 AMPS (110) and 100% at 150 Amps (230V) Welding on 5/16 plate you will be around 210 AMP putting the machine at 30-35% duty cycle. Looks really cheaply made
Its not, plastics are tough, and they are used for good reason, no corrosion and lightweight. It cannot be cheaply made when it has the grunt to feed Al wire wire through 5m.
