Hello Shea, they are my dental team too! Dr Michele has helped me SO much! I am going through the SAME thing. In January, I have a cone beam scheduled to see if we can go forth with the next implants. Afterwards, I have more work to do. It has been physically, emotionally and financially taxing. I am holistic as well, so hoping this will improve things when all is said and done! Please ask Dr Michele for my information if you would ever want to text/talk. I would love to have someone who understands. Know that you are not alone. (I commented before, but I’m not sure if it went through.) Prayers, 🩷Lauren

I am a retired Hygienist as well, I worked for a cosmetic dentist. You are not being dramatic . So great you are looking into implants - most patients have a very good result when it is all said and done . You are right that infection from compromised teeth is absolutely not good for your overall health . I had jaw surgery years ago and had my jaw wired shut for over 3 months and everyone could understand my speech, so that part of it may not even be that noticeable . Love to you 🤗

@okangie6723 I also had jaw reconstruction when I was 15. Upper and lower. That was a rough recovery. Ppl would ask me if it was painful, but it wasn't really. The challenge is air exchange. Also, of course, not being able to eat.

As someone that’s been in dentistry for over 10 years, you need a second opinion. I’ve never once seen a doctor extract teeth because they’re filled. (I’m speaking about the other 3) Secondly, you need a night guard. If you’re cracking roots, you’re grinding and clenching at night. If you’re in unexplained pain, again, you’re grinding and clenching. Most people do… That alone would solve half of your problems. If neither of them have not put you in a night guard, they aren’t good at their jobs. Third, a temporary shouldn’t just “come off.” Again, I’ve never heard that one either. Furthermore, the “holistic” approach is a red flag to me. Using porcelain or ceramics isn’t for holistic purposes. They’re using those words to get patients like you. Most dentists simply use those materials now because they are better and they look better. You don’t have to seek out a “holistic” dentist for that. I realize my comment will get buried with the 5,000 other comments and you’ll probably never read it, but I can’t stand to see dentists take advantage of people. You can save those teeth, and the thought two dentists would talk you into this crap is sickening.

How kind of you to leave her this comment and I hope she sees it... How I wish I could find a dentist like you... But I'm stuck with certain dentist because of health insurance... I have also lost a lot of teeth and it's crazy because my teeth were so so good, I've had issues with telling my dentist that a tooth is bothering me and they do an x-ray and they say nothing's wrong and then 8 months or a year later they say oh it needs to be pulled... There's a really deep cavity... I've and tons of other issues...
I can't even tell you how healing it is just to know the people like you are actually out there 🌹

Please don’t feel embarrassed to be making this video. And yes, I do think that you are correct that many people won’t understand and won’t think that it’s a big deal. I have been dealing with similar issues since a few months after my daughter was born as well. It’s been five years and I feel like it’s just getting worse. Fillings, root canals just for pain, braces now that my mouth seem to be rejecting as my gums are so inflamed even though I am meticulous with my oral hygiene. The Dentist are at a loss for what to even tell me. Additionally, I have other health issues that I’ve been dealing with that sometimes make it feel like it’s impossible to function as a human being. Issues that have been going on for over 10 years now and honestly just seem to get worse day by day. I am honestly not coming on here to complain, but just to tell you that yes some of us do understand what you’re going through and yes, it is horrible but like you said, be thankful that you do have the means to do something about it. Some of us unfortunately aren’t so lucky or we try a but eventually we run out of money, because as you know, all of this cost thousands and thousands of dollars. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers and with you and your family happy holidays.

Fellow Pittsburgh girly here!!! I went to Doctor Bakuri for gum surgery and he is AMAZING!!!!!!!! My heart goes out to you as I’ve been struggling with some of the same issues. I ate/drank TONS of sugary foods and drinks in my college years (I think I had an addiction to sugar) and ended up with a TON of cavities and some were very deep. A few of the fillings I received by a dentist had “overhangs” and were not done correctly, so food particles and more sugar were getting stuck in the overhangs up against my gums and I ended up with periodontal disease throughout my entire mouth. A couple years later, I did get the fillings replaced that were incorrectly done, but wow has my mental health taken a toll. My smile will never be the same and it feels like as time goes on my teeth and gums are just slowly deteriorating. After doing HOURS AND HOURS of research, I’m considering doing All on 4 in the future, probably 10 years from now I would guess (G4 by Golpa) because, like you said, teeth are connected to your entire body and can affect overall health.
My heart truly breaks for you because I know the mental and physical weight teeth issues can have, but this video gives me some comfort knowing I’m not the only person going through this. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers & wishing you a smooth recovery. 🤍

      Run to Jesus!!!
If you have defected from God then read these Scriptures: (Lost Sheep, Luke 15:1-7 - Lost Coin, 15:8-10 - Lost Son, 15:11-32 - Rich Man and Lazarus, 16:19-31) Jesus is calling you back home, read His word, believe and repent. Saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone!.
The world is racing toward "AMAGEDDON" !!! And people need to get right with the Lord!
If you have not read the books of (Daniel chapters 7-12), (Ezekiel chapters 37-39) (Matthew chapters 24:1-51 + 25:1-30), (1 Thessalonians chapters 1-5), (2 Thessalonians chapters1-3) and (Revelation chapters 6-19), now would be a good time. They will explain a lot about what is going on right now!
These books will cover the "Wars" about to come, the Rapture, World judgement, hence the Tribulation and the Great Tribulation! These books will also be the most ominous and scary for the unbelievers and the most exciting and uplifting for those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!...
It is my hope and prayer that people would repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ before all these things take place, because it is going to be very, very scary if you do not and you decide to wait and see what happens!

As a mom, it breaks my heart to see your pain. I totally understand your fear. My daughter has been through so much with her teeth ever since she got braces in middle school. She’s 31 now and finally got the last tooth issue resolved last week! She’s been through veneers, extractions, an implant, several gum graphs, a root canal and crowns. I will pray that this surgery brings you the relief you so desperately need. I’ll watch your videos no matter what. Your mouth will heal and you’ll feel so much better. Best of luck Shea.

Thank you for sharing this! I had my top front tooth extracted in 2022 (2 months after giving birth) with implant put in during 2023. I didn’t know anyone who experienced this and found very few videos and content on dental implants, which made me more nervous not knowing what to expect. Your feelings are valid and I didn’t realize how missing one tooth could impact your life but like you I reminded myself that I have my family and health and I needed to do it for them. Wishing you all the best in your journey!

I am so glad you are able to find good doctor - and thank you for bring this to others who has no idea how important this is. Thank you for putting your heart out there, Shea. This is scary and difficult and it's ok to be upset. Sometimes when we compare our situation to worst-case-scenario or someone else's bad situation it makes us feel stupid for being so emotional. But in reality, your emotions are valid. No matter who compares you to anyone else. If someone chooses to minimize your feelings and compare you to someone with a much worst situation, they are in the wrong and this is called emotional invalidation. You crying and being scared and upset is real and you being you is real and needed in this world. Anytime you're your authentic self, you're being honest with yourself and you can process things much easier from that place. I'm sorry you're facing this, Shea. I will pray that you feel God's presence and have peace that passes understanding. ❤

Thank you for sharing this because teeth issues are huge. My teeth impacted my whole life, even now and I just turned 45. I always looked at other people's smiles and wished mine was better. Getting my upper denture was hard and I don't even have to be in the public that much. I completely understand your fears and worries. I was made fun of when I was younger and it made me not smile showing my teeth. It made me cover my mouth when I laughed or yawned. People don't understand it's integral to your self esteem. I still don't know how to smile, don't know what my real smile looks like even after getting my upper denture because I didn't want to really smile for 30 years of my life so I get it. I hope your extractions are easy and you get through the worst of it quickly and heal quickly.

I have had issues with my teeth most of my life and all of my adult life. Two years ago, I had to have multiple bone grafts to be able to have implants. It was an arduous process but worth every agonizing moment. You are beautiful and brave! Lean into those that love you, give yourself the space to feel what you feel, and heal at your own pace. ❤

Hey sweetie. I have been through a tremendous amount in the past year. One thing I’ve learned is that we are each entitled to our emotions. Sure, things could be worse. That doesn’t negate the fact that you are facing something scary or uncertain for you. It’s ok to not be ok. It’s ok to feel scared and uncertain. I just want you to know that I understand and will pray for an excellent outcome regarding your situation. You are brave and you are stronger than you know. It’s ok to share and be scared. You’ve got this girl! You are a beautiful soul. All the best to you. ❤

I’m so sad that we live in a timeline where you feel like you have to be apologetic about being upset about all of this ❤ Good luck with all of this!
