Welllll.. in the last day we've gotten so many texts and phone calls about this video from our neighbor and friends. Beautiful! I'm the current owner of your old home at 142 Litchfield. The dog in the window is Lucy (Lucille). She's a Boxador (boxer/Lab mix) rescue from CAP. If you ever pass by again, drop me a line and you're welcome to see the inside of your childhood home again. I'd also LOVE to hear more about this neighborhood in the 70's/80's. We fell in love with this neighborhood the second we saw it online, when home searching and really is quite a unique place in Houston. 🤗

@@SotweetieAs the previous commenter pointed out, it was a closeup of the window of a private residence showing the interior. Legally, a release form should have been signed for that kind of shot. I've worked in the film industry, so I'm familiar. So thanks, but not only do I have a good "grip" on what is right and decent, but also what is legal.

I also moved to DFW from Houston and the hardest part was leaving places that I shared memories with my parents and family. They all passed on before I moved so I felt a bit naked and vulnerable to move, as though I was moving on without them. But they've always been with me, just not physically. I still take those home town tours and visit all the homes, schools, neighborhoods, etc. of my childhood every time I am in Houston.

Why on earth has CBS Sunday morning or another National news program not snatched you up as a reporter by now? Your story telling skills are so engaging, introspective, positive, and relatable. Thank you for taking us down your memory lane Dominque. I too walked with you and remembered the freedom of play outside as a child, the endless hours at the pool, and wanting every item from the Limited Express. 😊 Remember the Guess jeans and the neon earrings? I’m convinced it was Express that started my love affair with all things French. Remember walking into the store to all cool, French music? 🎶 Great memories, thank you! Godspeed and blessings to you as you turn the page to next chapter of your life ❤ See you later 😊

We lost Dad 3 years ago, entire family with him at home, was really beautiful but so, so hard. I never expected to be moved by your look back, the sadest part was your loss of your Mum Audrey. Your such a strong woman, and im sure you will be very happy in your new assignment, you will have Courtney with you to share the exciting times. We are all looking forward to seeing your next journey. Best wishes and may God bless you, enjoy the next page in your journey through life Dominique. From a very cold U.K.

You are so lucky to have something that makes if difficult to say goodbye. This was such a heartfelt video. I even shed a little tear at the end when you were speaking about your mother. My sense is that you have worked very hard to bring uplifting material to us and now you are reaping somehting marvelous for yourself. Can't wait to actually hear what that is going to be!! I'm intrigued to know.

I moved in 2012 to Califonia, specifically the East Bay, and lived in Walnut Creek, it was a big change for my wife and me. We missed the west side of town but grew to love Walnut Creek and the bay area. Minutes from San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkley were wonderful. The weather was great and the people were awesome. Made lots of new friends. We moved back to Texas at the end of 2021. It took me a while to get adjusted because I grew to love CA and made great memories with all we did while we lived in CA. I guess my point is that new memories will be formed with old friends that visit and new friends you make. It will be all good in the end. Good luck with the move and the change.

Oh Dominique, thank you for taking us along on this journey. I've been watching your content for many years now, and I have learned so much from you during that time. I think what stands out to me the most is that your content evolves as you evolve, what you create today is quite different from those old days 'in the bathroom" (but gosh, I loved those videos too). You are always so authentic and real and true to yourself, and that is reflected in your content. May this next chapter of life bring you many blessings, we'll be here with you every step of the way xx

Such a beautiful tribute to your life here in Houston, and a fitting ending with memories of your mom. I live in your neighborhood and walked by your building often...I live on the same street as your mom did (recognized it from your videos)! I went to Spring Branch High, and my mom now lives in the Memorial area. These were my old stomping grounds as well, so I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your memories, as some of them felt like mine! We love this area and know you will miss it. Nothing but best wishes for you in this new chapter of your life! Can't wait to hear the big news (so to speak!) :)
