You are a craftsman and artist of the highest caliber. I appreciate your honest inner thoughts. self assessments, it's refreshing in our world of BS & lies. You have found the answer most are looking for, you are following your bliss or as you say, "Let the wind take you to your next destination". Bravo !
Each episode you crate is more about the core experiences of an archer and a human being practicing and adjusting facets of life to align with your inner purpose. Your episodes are evermore intimate walks with your stretching and growth. You are accessing and sharing the most dangerous and meaningful aspects of your life and expertise. Thank you.
Or for smaller adult archers. I have from GREAT PLAINS TRADITIONAL BOW COMPANY, the Youth Longbow in Hickory at 45 pounds as my current draw of 24.5 to 25 inches is close to the bows 24 inches. The Youth models are No longer shown on the custom page but you can still get them, just have to ask about the bows in a section below, the company stopped advertising the bow due to either too low or two high request for the model. The other dropped model this for good is the Howard Hill style Longbow was not enough requested over the more modern tapered American Style Longbow limb bow that still meets the World Archery 3D Longbow rules of how much reflex the bow can have. People that want a Howard Hill style specific bow with flat handle more often want to get it from a brand that only makes Longbows no other designs with at most the higher Reflex/Deflex as a model or two.
Well done Man ,I am a fan of archery. I am from Europe, the Balkans, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a military veteran from the war in Bosnia, which was thirty years ago, I have a prosthesis, I was wounded, so I do not have the machines that you have methane young man greetings from Bosnia 👍
Kramer,,get yourself a small manual mill for the limb bolts. It puts the pins and 1/4-20 screw inserts bang on. Small investment if you decide to pursue the three piece. Its so addictive! Love your passion🏹
Traditional bow hunters/shooters are more concerned with "how/why" the pinnacle is reached rather than the prize itself.. This video captures this so beautifully and i hope to see more like it. Thank you.
I really enjoyed watching this journey. Becoming one with yourself and the wood. Bonding with the spirit of mothernature, like when spirit made wood and you. To work together. So you can see, by feeling. 😶🌫️🍄😇
Loved the fact that you went out of your comfort zone and created a thing of beauty. Incredible work sir! I'd love to see a small packable bow with a couple sets of limbs and a nice case. Blatant product ask...
Thanks for the video Kramer. I feel the urge with you when you are on a project that you love, can't stop, I could see it it the way you were handling your tools etc. You're on a mission. I will be looking forward to the longer version. 62 inches please for us 29/30 inch draw guys. Get those fades figured out just perfect. Can't wait.
I’m at 1:41 into this video, I’m already hooked…….again. Kramer, you constantly bring us amazing content. Not only are your skills as a story teller evolving but the skill you display as a bowyer is so interesting to watch. I love the creative process. Now I’m going to watch the rest of the video. All i can say to you now is , brother just keep doing what you are doing.
So when is this new bow available to buy. It's perfect for people with shorter draw lengths. If it was 40- 50 lbs it would be at legal hunting poundage in my country. I've been looking for a hunting bow like this. Keep building your dreams my friend. 👍
Now your on the soul path. It's HEARTFUL and spiritual passionate evolution. For you. The connection between oneself and source. You are everything and everything is you !😶🌫️😇🍄
I have been following your channel for 4 years (the first one i watched was on tools we need for making bows) and it's the first time i have ever commented. this is exactly the sort of video i love and exactly the sort of bow i have been craving , A shorter than usual takedown bow for going in the hiking pack. i hope this works out and you start producing them for sale. i would definitely invest in one.
It seems to me you made a great youth/women/short men recurve! I've been shoting an ASL, but recurves and specially TD's are kind of getting a place in my heart because of the same reason you mentioned at the begining of this video. Keep it up!
That short draw lenght looks very similar to comanche instinctive shooting; might not be a repeatable sniper, but still make a very good pure instinctive and compact bow, untill you wear out the hex key or bolt :P You might consider switching to those hand tied knob bolts. Great to see you experimenting with take downs.
Cool to see your inspiration and going though even if it is not exactly what you imagined when you started. I have just finished building my fourth bow... well fourth attempt at a board bow. First worked but was underweight from what I wanted. Second worked and I shot a few hundred arrows through it before it cracked at a spot in the grain I knew was bad! Third I got Impatient and went to ofar too soon breaking it while tillering... But my latest one.. .I I think I finally made enough mistakes to learn how to do it successfully. Keep striving for excellence!
You mentioned that you've needed around 50 prototypes for "The Bones". Wouldn't it save a lot of time and money to use a CAD-programme for drawing the design an another one like e.g. "Super-Tiller" to virtually test that design. Most of the time, when I create new bow-designs I don't need to build more than two prototypes. It takes me an hour or so for the first draft of the design and another hour for the calculations. Then it will take me an hour for adjustments on the design and new tests. So, all in all, I need around eight to ten hours until the results of the calculations fit my ideas and I can start building a router template for the bow-form. Usually the calculations are about 95% accurate and the bow comes out fine so that I can see where adjustments need to be done to meet the final 5%...
I had a 70lb long bow in the works and the handle split today on the tillering tree, both limbs are still fine so I cut them to equal length and was going to try this tomorrow with no idea if it would work.
nice video; youve been a superb inspiration in my own road of bow building; mfrom self bows to some board bows and now thinking of trying some laminate stuff. so please keep the vids coming!
Beautiful bow Kramer, How fast is it at 25” and what is the current draw weight? Could you build new limbs that at say 3” longer on each side to fix your draw length issue or do you have to increase the riser length as well? An idea what price range it will end up in when you’re done?
Yes the bow being short will make it stack sooner, but so does having so much reflex in the riser. By pushing the limbs forward of the pivot point like that you are essentially increasing the draw length the limbs have to travel, and reduces the workable brace height. It will make a fast but also twitchy bow prone to torqueing. For a stable smooth drawing bow you really want the limb pocket ending in line or even better with deflex and behind the pivot point in the grip.
I was wondering if when you prototype new designs like this if you document measurements and templates for each revision so you can recreate it or modify for the next version or if you just build it and if it is good take measurements and make revisions off the finished bow design.
beautiful bow brother. 52" is a great size. love my bear Kodiak magnum. Do you think recurve limbs could be made for it without having change the riser? might solve the stacking issue.
For curiosity sake, what did the bow come out at? With the 24 inch draw, what's the draw weight, and, I'm curious, for the sake of science and learning, how it performs with an arrow tuned for it. Would you say, as 25 or 26 inch arrow, (shorter than normal for you to match the shorter drawlength ?) Weighted appropriately, I'm curious.
When you had the fire hose on the form, what is inside it? Air or water. Curious. You rolled it on flat but removed it filled. I believe. If I'm understanding the video correctly
If you wanted to create gold rush trend make replacement limbs for old Bear Compound bow's,.....then wall hangers would function again to full power. Or you could sell a kit where all they had to do is glue the limb's together.
Love this video and that bow! I was wondering, since the bow was designed to be a packable takedown bow, could you make a longer set of limbs for it so you have multiple options from the same riser?
Another masterpiece and another tragedy. It’s not where you want it to be but better than where it was at being an idea. Looks great and look forward to the next video.
Sooo...we were collecting firewood, and came across a very large Aspen, and I asked myself ... will it bow ?? ... I'll let you know after I cut out and dry the stave.
That bow would be perfect for me if it where 26 inch draw !!! And 65 lbs. Draw. It's a battle us short stocky guys have to find a bow made for our length of pull that is also full power .

You accidentally made a ridiculously nice youth bow. I have one of your strings and I love it! Thank you for what you do!

There is no denying this mans motivation and work ethic. I almost burnt my lunch because I couldn't look away.
Now I understand why I do what i do when I do my hobbies. Thank for the deep clarity.
I don't care what anyone says That Bow is Masterfully crafted!!

Thank you for being vulnerable. Not certain there's more respectful attributes than honesty.... Remember, sharper the pencil sharper the carpenter
Sometimes as an artisan, you end up making not what you want, but what someone else needs.
I’m coming back to this channel after some years, I cannot believe how it has grown. Congratulations dude! You deserve it!

I’m glad you made the bow and the video. Was a very cathartic watch.
Don't give up on the mountain bow brother it looks amazing
Loved the fact that you went out of your comfort zone and created a thing of beauty. Incredible work sir! I'd love to see a small packable bow with a couple sets of limbs and a nice case. Blatant product ask...
I love your videos. I teach high school wood shop and I have had a few kids make bows. I always refer them to your videos before starting.

I've been waiting for you to build a takedown for so long bro!!!!!! That design is absolutely amazing! It totally beats the crap out of a sage!

Some times we have to follow the great spirit and try new things and count it as a learning experience
That bow is SICK! Love it!
You have no idea how bad I want exactly this. Can't wait for you to get these into production!! Keep hammering
Been dying for you to make a takedown bow. Thanks for the vid.
the future shatterproofarchery in the making... interchangeable limbs nice 👍
Yay. Kramer u finally did a 3 piece takedown like you and I had talked about.
it's a beautiful piece of art
Very nice, even if it’s the draw is just a little short for you. I think the process is all of the fun.
I'll buy one! Keeper moving bub!
Really enjoyed the video

Would recurve limbs help with the stacking issues.?..? Great content and craftsmanship as usual. Love your channel ❤ 💕

Would be intresting to see him try to make an plains indian bow. A short Lakotan bow.

Weighted appropriately, I'm curious.
Could you make a bow from strips of a sheet and resin? I know fiberglass works, but sheets are easier to find.
When you had the fire hose on the form, what is inside it? Air or water.
Curious. You rolled it on flat but removed it filled.
I believe. If I'm understanding the video correctly

You should do a survival challenge or hunt with a self made bow
Have you seen the CBAM 25 printer? I'm thinking that could make the perfect bow in all shapes. Hit me up on your thoughts.
What happens if you draw past the "stacking" point? Never heard of that before.
Beautiful work sir!
When will these be available for order! I run like the wind blows lol
😢it's beautiful
Awesome bow even if it is short
The limb on the right side is bending more than the left limb.
Would you consider making a bow out of black locust?
Another crossbow . Ha ha . Looks cool . Does a longer bow shoot faster ? I s there a 2 stage arrow .
How about fpv radio control glide arrow .
Keep jumping out if that comfort zone!!!
Would you kindly tell me Why you make a riser out of three pieces of wood glued together instead of a whole piece?
Oh baby them legs 0:01😂 nice bow too!
I'm going to build one of your bows with my grandson
What makes a good hunting bow in a traditional bow is it the string 🧵or is it the material of the bow
# ASMR Wonderful, Me thinks you could use the hashtag ASMR if commercial breaks are removed
But what do Aik know😊
That bow would be perfect for me if it where 26 inch draw !!! And 65 lbs. Draw. It's a battle us short stocky guys have to find a bow made for our length of pull that is also full power .
little known factoid on Black locust: It glows under blacklight.
have you done a Penobscot bow
Why use pressure instead of vacuum?
My little girl wants your bow...
❤
I have a 23 inch draw length.
Can I buy this bow?
I've got a question
What do you eat with that ? You shoot things and customers do that . Like the perfect turkey .is not the right thing but the best thing .
Safety glasses
I'm not supposed to be watching this video.
