    you guys are amazing. I remember a number of years ago watching Kramer just going out into the woods and shooting at targets set up with his home made bows. Really liked this guy from the beginning. I'm an old guy. But as a youth I'd spend literally HOURS shooting at playing cards held up by a stick in a mound of dirt left over by the builder of the houses in our small suburb tract. I still love shooting targets! (guns too but that's another story). Great work guys!

      You could probably get a string from Shatterproof Archery that is wide enough for the bow. They make strings for some of the modern Chinses or some versions of modern Mongolian bows with the big siha bow tips that need bigger string loops since so few companies make a replacement string for those bows and if they do it is only for the model they sell specifically.

    If you do a will it bow, I want to see you use the thin black drainage PVC in place of the bows black fiberglass to see if you could do in the Bones model to see if you could make a cheaper model of the same bow using wood that is just as good in strength though cheaper then what is currently on the standard production, like Hickory or Oak from a big box store. You will have to use the PVC Plumbers glue in the gluing to the bows wood as any other glue will not work with the PVC. You might have to heat the PVC with a heat gun before putting on the bow though more then likely not all the way like with a recurve of PVC but I am not sure on this part.

    I never understood the bowyers and archers fetish for special woods on the riser section and even the limbs. Yes it can look beautiful and it does but its mostly about the looks you put so much effort, time, material and energy in. It makes your build look like rocket sience. I respect that interest but as a selfbowyer I am more into functional effort and the look and design simply follows that. I dont care if you have 28 layers of bamboo, maple and the most exotic stuff you can find on your laminated bow. And I always feel so odd if people look at my only laminated bow which I did not make myself and they actually think that the choice of wood like marbled maple makes it a good bow.

    • @mboehm69
      @mboehm69 Год назад +1

      Think of it as art/expression in design, to make something functional is one thing, to make it appealing is a level above.. I've been into trad' archery for a few years, and I have carpentry experience... If i could source materials easily I'd be the same after making so many bow as this fella has.

    • @hansimgluck9207

      Well no, I am not wrong here since I enjoyed a lot of videos of kramer and shatterproof archery. He and his people seem to be nice guys, too. Most content is very enjoyable. This thing is just over the edge of what makes bowbuilding interesting for me. Its playing with epoxy. Or design/art, fine. As I mentioned I respect that but I see a tendency in it to focus on looks. Maybe its a fine shooting bow, that would have been much more interesting for me. And that would be a reason to pay a lot of money. I think its pretty clear now, sorry if I was a little impolite or offensive. Didnt mean to be.

  • @caseysmith544
    @caseysmith544 Год назад

    If I ever was in your area, I would try to get there and ask if I could design a Fixed Broadhead for the company in a few weights using different materials for each weight of broadhead trying to make the 100/125 grain convertible, the 150/175 convertible, and the 175/200 convertible. a
    Then make with help create a line of the bow you sell that the draw made for short draws with a 22 inch, 24 inch, and a 26 inch draw with those at 25 probably getting them the 24 inch and then taking a pound off the bow, keeping that extra poundage for that draw mistake. Last then help make a bow weight set for archers like Jack of Historical archery Channel who want high poundage bows in both the small draw and the lager draw. The short draw will be good for those smaller adult archers as women and some Males need this with even some styles of Crawl the archer is looking more down the arrow so they can't go far back and only get a 24--26 inch draw unlike the one they would have shooting gap or other more instinctive/fixed crawl.

      Idiots that don't know business or skilled craftsmanship. Do I need to explain overhead to you? Rent, Payroll, light bill, cost of materials. Has to make a little profit so he can feed his family. A custom made Bow for 699.00 and you are crying about his prices? A good compound bow will cost you 1200 or more.

    Bro I am not a fan of the flat and angular look your bows have.

      I do not like the look of the bows limb tips, I would have to on the normal bows fix the limb tips to have more of a gradual slope to them, other then that the bows are nearly perfect to an older style slightly more basic laminate bow like a late 1950's to early 1960's one piece bow that few companies make besides Bear archery, Bearpaw, or Chinese models in mass production.

      @@caseysmith544 Tips can be flatter/ shorter for sure. Makes a more thumpy bow. More mass on the tips.

      @@TheShowgunofHarlem it's a really good comment. Ask yourself why they didn't show in detail how the bow shoots. it's a bad bow, they don't know how to tiller..

    Nice but rediculous price. Not any more exotic than most bows on the market
