Hi Alisa, some lovely snuggly fabrics there 👌💝. I love the denim look french Terry and the means idea sounds great...they would be super comfortable but look fabulous 💙 ...who doesn't want that 😁✊. It's ladders isn't it 😉...what a shame about that silky fabric...hope you can salvage it 🙏. Great books too and that first one looked so useful 👍. Enjoy your sewing Alisa 💞😁😘
It is ladders!! 😘 Thank you, Sally! I now pre-washed all my fabrics, I like to start cutting into them as soon as I decide what I'm making. Thank you for spending your time with me! ❤️😍
Thank you Janet! Threads are such a treat! Although I've realised that I don't have the time to read the ones I already have, and they just keep accumulating... 🤦🤣
Exciting purchases missy! I’m pretty damn sure I have the Singer books in storage. My mum had the set and let me have them. I hope I didn’t get rid of them….! x😘x
I think I must be very lucky - I absolutely hate internet shopping, so most of my money stays in the bank until we go on holiday. I take great care to track down fabric before we book anywhere. I'm looking forward to your new approach to filming your projects and I really look forward to seeing your Simplicity shirt dress taking shape. Enjoy your evening reading your Threads magazine. Good luck with all your life and sewing plans.🌷
So you're an addict of in-person fabric shopping? That's pretty cool too! 😘🥰 I've made a good progress of the short dress already so will be showing that in my next sewing blog 😍🎀
I’m making the same simplicity dress! Lovely fabrics. I worry a bit about the term eco leather since some of it is PVC which is just plastic and not good for the environment, there are other types one is even made from pineapples, so it’s worth checking what it’s made from when you buy. Yours does look lovely though!
Hi Maggie, you sparked my interest with the pineapple leather.. I went looking for it and whether it's available in the UK. The one I found looks a bit thick, it would probably be perfect for bags and belts, if I ever venture into that. But then maybe one day I'll come across a more pliable thin pineapple leather, you never know, I'll keep an eye out! 🥰😍 Are you making the same view as me with that S8014? 💗
Oh my, I’m in the US, and I don’t have my Threads magazine yet. I can never predict when it will show up, but I do love reading it and my lovely sewing books. You’ve gotten some I haven’t seen before. They look wonderful, especially for finishing techniques. As for interfacing, I’ve been enjoying using German baby interfacing. It’s a little more expensive, but it hasn’t failed me yet and it’s worth it when I know I’m not going to ruin a project. Your plants 🪴 are so cute! I have a black, black thumb here in US. My mom taught me sewing, but I didn’t get her gardening gene. She’s probably groaning from heaven. 😌 Following you is a joy. 💗
Lynn I'm sure if you watched a couple of RUclips videos on plants, your thumbs would turn green too 😘😍 I usually look things up and watch a couple of videos on the subject.. I do love my printing literature 😇 when the time comes to move, I think the most weight will be in my books and magazines (Burda, Threads, Sew Stylish and Patrones) I don't like the word hoarding so I call it a collection 😘🥰
Love yr sewing ideas . I do not live in UK but in an EU country. I looked up the Pattern Cutting book u showed us … Hard cover 2015 ..is 186.47 euros or paperback 1987 …54 euros.. ( 1 euro = 0.87 pounds sterling) What edition is yrs pls ? Is it the 7 th ? Did u purchase it at this price or have prices of books increased too !😢 Tks you ! Keep positive and look ahead ..big hug 😊
Oh wow that's a lot of money!! I just checked my book and it doesn't have the year but says the last reprint was 2005 so I assume this is the year? It also says , printed and bound in Great Britain by MPG Books Ltd, Bodmin, Cornwall. The website for the printing company is www.bh.com Would be worth checking out? Sometimes eBay has second hand copies, do you know you can set up an alarm in eBay that will notify you when a specific item gets listed? Thank you for your lovely words of support, I'll keep positive 🥰😍
@@Sloths.and.Orchids Many thanks for the interesting info . No I was not aware re EBay ! So thank you 🙏. I will try , if not I will wait until I can visit UK , hopefully in the near future. Big hug 🤗
I don't think I've made a shirt in white, but if you're after a nice oversized shirt pattern I would recommend the Vikisews Cynthia, I've made it multiple times and it's my go to 🥰💖💜
Alisa,Not buying fabric😜I’m sure there’s a piggy bank hidden somewhere that can be broken into! My problem is I cannot resist certain prints and fabrics… it’s a common sewing artist “mental illness.” Cheryl
Cheryl you're laughing 🤣 I'll be buying more fabric then will have to sell a kidney to top up my house piggy bank 🤣🤣 mental illness is a very accurate description 🤦
Your blue/purple fabric is developing “runs’ like nylons. Not sure it will be worth your efforts to use it for a slip dress! Lots of fussy sewing only to develop “runs” ? Your time is worth more😍
Frances are you saying that my fabric got the runs? 🤣🤣 I kind of agree with you that it might not be worth it to use it for anything, but I will do one little test with the overlocker before I make my final decision 🥰😍

That's lovely Diane, thank you for letting me know, I love it when you enjoy my videos ❤️🥰🎀
Hi there! Catching up!
The Singer Sewing Library books are great - I have a number of them for reference. You have great taste in magazines - love Threads!
Thank you Janet! Threads are such a treat! Although I've realised that I don't have the time to read the ones I already have, and they just keep accumulating... 🤦🤣
Loved todays updates!
Thank you Michelle! I'm glad!! 🥰🎀

I hope you didn't! I absolutely love them! And if I didn't have to move I'd probably be hunting down and buying each of them now 🤣🎀🥰

Are you thinking of getting "ladders" in your tights? Like your books, I'm also old and "super useful". LOL
Yes the ladders!!! That's it, thank you 😘🥰 Ha ha old and super useful is not a bad place to be! I'm not too far off getting there myself 🤣❤️💖

Love your white shirt❤ Is that a hand made shirt ? if so what pattern is it as I am after a nice shirt pattern and like the look of yours x

Actually, it may give you the runs if you try to tame it! 😂🤣😬
Ok well that will make me think twice 🤣🤣
