    I bet that chocked would also be good by putting the chicken right out of the crockpot into a pan with the remaining juice thickened and basted over the meat and broiled in the oven.

    I love all of your canning videos and am just learning! I just canned my first batch of applesauce today and my batch was too small for the pot. I should have surrounded with empty jars, but they were leaning and not straight up after the water bath. They all sealed and no leaking, but are they safe to store? Or should we eat. Thank you

      If the seals are strong you should be fine! Be sure to store without rings on. If one didn't seal well the lid will pop off in the pantry and you'll know to toss it out :-). Happy canning!

    If you want to make syrup thicker how much cornstarch should I use for like pint and for Quart jars?

    • @TealHouseFarm
      @TealHouseFarm  2 года назад

      I would do 2 tsp for the pint and 1 TB for the quart.
      I really like chopping up an apple, cooking it in a bit of butter. Then adding the cornstarch and finally the syrup. Makes a delicious warm cinnamon apple syrup topping for pancakes!
