    I’m glad to learn that I can put the peels and cores into the freezer for later because I don’t usually have time it feel like doing something with them then. I have some apples 🍎 need to do something with.

      Yes! This is definitely something you can put in the freezer until you have time to deal with it.

    That is going to look beautiful on your pantry shelf! And taste yummy, of course. 😊

    A great way to use the Apple scraps! I can think of nothing nicer than a slice of your homemade bread topped with Apple Jelly. 🌸

    The jelly is so pretty. Last year mine turned into a pale peach color. I like the red so much better.

      A lot just depends on the variety of apples do you use. I used Jonathans for this jelly and they have a very red skin

    I'm definitely going to try this next week when I process my bushel of apples . I'm all about using up as much as you can and not letting anything go to waste. My grandma & mom instilled that ideal into me at a very young age. Hope you and the family are having a good day!

    Great way to use up every last bit of apple. That jelly will taste so good when winter comes and bring back a taste of fall. Have a good day!

    That jelly reminds me of my Nanny's jelly when I was a little girl. She never had store bought jelly in the house. Yours looks great.

    You can use jar rings to keep jars off the bottom if you don’t have a rack.

    Those are beautiful! Who would of thought that we could make jelly out of "waste". I used to make crabapple jelly like that. How long did you cook the apples by the way?

    Newcomer to making jelly here. Does the thickness of jelly matter if you lessen the sugar amount?

    • @TealHouseFarm
      @TealHouseFarm  6 месяцев назад

      If you are using a boxed pectin you need to use the recommended amount of sugar or the jelly will not set. If you want to make jelly without boxed pectin so you can use less sugar, you definitely can. It takes a lot longer and can take some practice to figure out when it is thick enough to set!
