RECIPE @brian_lagerstrom
"BULGOGI" STYLE GROUND BEEF
• 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
1/2c soy sauce
1Tbsp sesame oil
1 3/4Tbsp rice vinegar
1/8c brown sugar
1Tbsp ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, grated
3|4Tbsp gochujang
Preheat saute pan over med high. Add beef, breaking apart into small pieces as it cooks. Add marinade (to make this, stir together: soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vin, brown sugar, ginger garlic, and gochujang). Cook down until marinade becomes syrupy (should take about 60 sec).
PICKLED VEG
MARINATED CUCUMBERS
1Tbsp salt
2Tbsp sugar
2Tbsp vinegar
1/2 cucumber
Stir to combine. Allow to marinate for 20+ minutes.
MARINATED BEAN SPROUTS
2c bean sprouts
1Tbsp salt
2Tbsp sugar
2Tbsp rice vinegar
1Tbsp sesame seeds
Stir to combine. Allow to marinate for 20+ minutes.
MARINATED CARROTS
2c shredded carrot
1Tbsp salt
2Tbsp sugar
2Tbsp rice vinegar
Stir to combine. Allow to marinate for 20+ minutes.
SPINACH
Olive oil
1/2 lb large leaf spinach
Salt
2Tbsp sesame seeds
Preheat saute pan over medium high. Add oil, cleaned spinach, a large pinch of salt, and a pinch of sesame seeds.
BIBIMBAP SAUCE
¾-1c gochujang
3Tbsp water (+ additional to thin sauce if your gochujang is extra thick)
1 1/4Tbsp sugar
1/2tsp salt
3 1/2Tbsp sesame oil
1 clove garlic, chopped
2Tbsp ginger, chopped
Combine ingredients and blend until smooth.
PUTTING EVERYTHING TOGETHER
• Rice
• Eggs (1 per bowl, cooked over easy)
• Scallions, thinly sliced
• Additional sesame seeds, if desired
• Kimchi
Place rice in bowl. Top with bulgogi beef, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, bean sprouts, kimchi, egg, and bibimbap sauce. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds

I'm vegetarian...so if there is vegetarian version I'll try it for sure 😃

@@dontshiptaeandjkoriwillsen6296 in many cases this dish is vegetarian anyway. All you have to do is ask for it without meat because it is assembled with the various sautéed vegetables before it is served.

Yes I agree w/Ur comment. I was in awe wstching him flip right thru it... & than, when I saw the packeged Kimchi... I thought... Kimchi is supposed to be fresh right from the cabbage itself, but FRESH... BUT THAN he said about the cabbage " this isn't fresh" & I right away thought "oh WOW he's so honest about that & I really respect him for that".!! I know ppl R going to say to me something like "kimchi can B packaged" or whatever else... but save Ur breath plz... I'm ALL about fresh although I know sometimes time is short... I GET THAT... but no worries & U can have the last word 😊

비빔밥 bibimbap is such an adaptable dish. Just use what you have handy! It literally means “mixed rice.” What you have is a beautiful bibimbap and it looks yummy. 🎉

That's what I thought, it's like fried rice there is no recipe it's just what you have mixed with rice. Only thing I always see is an egg. First time I saw it was leftover bulgogi, some sprouts, kimchi and an egg and they made it look all nice then just mixed everything up.

Only if he deserves it, but dang, for a little kid, Uncle Roger maybe can keep leg up on chair if the recipe is not exact, especially since boy flat-out says it is NOT authentic, but at least delicious.
I think uncle roger only reacts to people who make Chinese dishes bibimap is a Korean dish, and it’s very delicious!
