The Smallest Pigeon you have ever seen

- By chance I got hold of the smallest Pigeon egg in the world. When I visited a 70 year old bird lover who was sick, I encountered this rare species from Australia. Diamond doves are so sweet and beautiful, I fell in love with them right away. The one I raised has become very tame, she’s a great friend.

This man sacrificed sleep for a bird that’s the purest thing I’ve seen today
Does it regularly 💕
@Not Me The real heroes we can never EVER give back enough to. The sacrifices a parent does that their children may never even know about are what makes good ones magical. Salute o7 ❤️️
That man must be so sad to give up all his babies...🥺 It is obvious he cares greatly for them. But, he must be so happy to know some of them will live on with you! 🥰
It's most likely bittersweet
Yes it most be sad of that
I still think it's great that ACCA's Friend was one of those pet owners who are responsible enough to make sure that their pets have some place to go when they are going to be in a situation. So many times I've seen videos of rescues where because the old person just started getting old and unable to take care of their animals the animals went downhill as well and nobody came to pick those animals up, so I'm just very glad for how much this guy cares about his animals and wanted to make sure they got a new home

This was such a wonderful story. How kind of you to go and see the older man. I am quite sure that was a real treat for him and it did his heart good to know that you are caring for his birds and that he had done the right thing in giving them to you. 💙💙

I cry too! Lol my fiance and I were sitting next to each other and I start sniffling. He asked if I'm ok, and I said "ya, ACCA released a new video." 😆 The baby bird videos ALWAYS make me cry. Sometimes when I know I'm going to have a stressful week, I don't watch the videos on the release date and save them for when I need a happy cry later in the week.

I literally teared up when he initiated to bring the birds to the old man. The old man also reminded me of my grand pa who got stroke and his feathered friends went downhill because of it. I wish you more blessings to come ACCA. And I will also pray for that old man. So glad his operation went well, pretty sure he missed his birds a lot.

Oh man, I'm crying. This brought back a lot of memories, I used to have daimond doves and once raised a chick by hand too. Thanks so much for bringing the baby back to the man so he could see the great care you've given it! I really hope you continue to visit him every so often with the bird, it seemed to really make him light up with so much joy!

This episode especially warmed my heart very much. Thank you for all you do ACCA. ❤️

The most down to earth person I have ever seen
i read it as pigeon and wholeheartedly agreed
The Pigeon Group Birds used to feed their chicks with their half digest vomit. The main food for pigeons are cereals like Rice, wheat, Maize, corn etc. I also raised Pigeon babies. We feed them rice chewed in my mouth and directly feed them from my mouth to their mouth.
Kinda gross but good(and natural)
Is that okay? What with the amount of bacterium in human mouths, but birds are also immune to a lot of it though.
@@SnorrioK this ↑
also with how there's lots of bird stuff that could go into ours-
Parent birds put the food into their crop where its crushed/mashed then regurgitated and fed to the babies. Humans and birds have vastly different bacterial ecosystems in their mouths and digestive tracts so I'm astounded none of your birds ever got infections 💀 for anyone else a syringe, feeding spoon, or bottle is definitely the way to go for feeding baby birds, as much as mouth to mouth is more 'natural' it also poses unnecessary risk to the birds
Your videos give me such joy. So calming and peace of mind.

I adore that he even took the time to go and take the little dove to see the old man who had to sadly part with all of his birds. The joy and smiles on his face says it all. I am also a pigeon guy. I can only imagine the pain this man felt when he needed to give up the hobby. Every bird has own character, own story own life and a pigeon fancier knows it. People are so used to cats and dogs, but can't imagine what a true love and affection a pigeon has towards its owner. Pigeons are like angels. ❤️❤️❤️
me too I am a pigeon zone
I'm a cat person. Always have been. But pigeons are really neat animals. Especially all the different varieties of domestic birds.
Never seen this tiny breed before though. Seems like a fun one to have as a group.
Unfortunately though my cats would just think they'd be tasty little morsels. Which is part of why they're indoor only. House cats are the ultimate killers.
But no hunting songbirds for them.
Raised pigeons my hole life, such a great hobby 👍
I truly agree. Pigeons are amazing birds
I can’t tell you how much joy I receive from watching you tenderly care for these precious ones ❤

Aww… you probably made that sweet old man’s day by bringing that bird to visit! What a sweet soul you are! God bless ❤
Your kindness knows no bounds. The sparkle of joy in that older gentleman's eyes was just so heart warming. Thank you.
I know the wellness of the animals is important but what about the wellness of the dude himself? How much sleep is he getting if he has to set so many alarms to take care of the birds? I hope he is doing okay running on a few hours of sleep. Love what you do though, just kind of concerned. ❤️
Its not easy but then again its not easy sleeping with a baby human either XD
I was actually just talking with him on Patreon about a possible way to help with this so hopefully it might work out :) we’ll both have to watch and find out :)
He can rest normally many times , u know not all day you get a little pigeon egg :)
They mature quickly, so he probably doesn't have to do it constantly. But yeah, it would be rough
i think he will feel rewarded for all the work he does
I think a few days lost sleep is worth it in order to take care of such a precious life :D
I've just found your channel. You are a very special human, and so dedicated to these fragile lives! I'm in the US, South Carolina. I used to raise exotic birds....cockatiels, parrots, and parakeets. I know how hard it is to warm them, feed them every 2 hours, and just keep the sick ones going. It got to be too much for me, and I had to give it up. I had children of my own. I'm now 60 yrs. old, and disabled. I'm so happy to have found you and your beautiful and inspiring videos. God bless you for what you do. I look forward to all of your future videos! 👍❤🙂
I love your videos. You have so much love for animals. Thank you 😊
I actually had a pigeon rescue myself few weeks ago! There was a mother pigeon with a baby on my balcony. I didn’t know what to do so I called a local ‘duivenmelker’. He said he could take care of them both. So I brought them to him and has taken care of them ever since. The baby pigeon is really getting big and finally getting all his feathers. l’m updated with pictures every now and then and it’s really fun to see him grow up! He’s called Pietertje the Pigeon by the way!
Are you Dutch or Afrikaans? The name Pietertjie sounds like one of those languages. It's a very cute story btw.
At my grandma's there was a fledgling wood pigeon on the ground and I saw cats coming near it. We tried to get it in a box so we could put it on the roof, but sadly it flew indoors! It didn't move from its spot for hours, but we did manage to get it outside in a safe place.
Why didnt you let the pigeons on the balcony ?
Ahhh i hate to be this person but next time please please bring it to a wildlife shelter, pigeon keepers do have a lot of experience keeping pigeons, but they're not allowed to take wild birds unless they have the right licenses (assuming this is in the netherlands)
There's animal ambulances all over the country, and there could even be a wildlife shelter within driving distance from you!
ACCA is most likely a licenced wildlife rehabber, which gives people the idea that any individual can just rehab wild animals. They can't. I love him so so much but I really wish he'd address this sometime and make sure to point people to wildlife shelters when they find wild birds in need
sincerely, a wildlife shelter volunteer from the netherlands

Oh this made me so happy. I used to have diamond doves amd ring neck doves. They are so tiny. I have reised a few dozen doves and probably 100 or more larger pigeons. I used to bring a heating pad to school and bring the birds too. I turned a stiff sided large lunch box into a little home. Some days I would have 5 or 6 with me. The teachers knew I couldn't leave them home, and they loved to see the growing progress. So many people remember me as the bird girl. My nickne in school was "Chicken" because it wasn't just doves and pigeons I brought. Baby rabbits, baby mice, baby rats, baby hamsters. This was the one thing I lived doing and I miss it so much.
