Affinity Designer Tutorial: Create a Tentacle & Distribute Suckers Along Path

  • This video shows how to create a simple tentacle, by modifying the stroke's "Profile" and how to add and distribute the suckers (or Suction Cups) along the tentacle.
    I was working on a design the other day that involved creating a tentacle with suckers. While the actual tentacle was straight forward, distributing the suckers took a bit of experimenting to get it the way I want. I decided to share what worked best for me, in case someone was looking for something similar or could implement the same technique in a different way in their designs.

    2:15 Hey, I follow your tutorial on Ipad Affinity but stop here cuz I dont have any idea of how to paste those objects to path. Any silution?

      Hi, sorry I don't have an Ipad to test this but just found a thread discussing this issue and with a possible work around.
      The user had a file attached but seems to be unavailable now. Do you have an access to a desktop version to create the file mentioned? If not then I will try to prepare one tomorrow and link it to this video.

      @@user-xz4ny1bk8e No worries! Let me know how it goes just so I know if it works as I can't test it myself. It seems to have some issues still as mentioned by the other user but I guess it's one workaround for now.
