@@Worktocruise why is he in your thoughts and prayers? I am curious. He is not family, he is not a personal friend. He does nothing for you or to better your life. Don is a big boy. He wines and complains about his health to get people to feel sorry for him or to help financially support him. Do you actually think he cares about you? Hell no, he does not. Don only thinks and cares about Don.
Air Canada is the worst. Every flight we have ever been on the last 3 years have been delayed except one, which they cancelled our flights a couple weeks before our cruise. We will never fly AC again. Enjoy your week off Don, you serve it.
Don, i think this always happens to you because you are always traveling! I could hear the wind in your cabin, but that last scene, on the top deck, was nuts! You do live on the edge! Enjoy your relaxation cruise!
My prays are with you , I'm glad u are gonna get some rest this week..rest and relaxing is good for the mind, body and soul.. hav a very merry Christmas Don..
Praying for you. You have so many people there for you and praying for you. Enjoy your cruise and recharge. Sorry you have so many problems, with flying home. God Bless
Good for you Don. Wonderful unr able to at the drop of a thought change plans and rebook a cruise. Hope u get your needed time of rest/reflection you need.
few people have the luxury of just "hopping on" a luxury cruise last minute. Don says he pays full fare but agents normally get a nice discount if ships are not sold out. I assume he does too.
I'm glad you're taking a vacation cruise after all of your hard work in our group cruise! I'd say "fair winds and following seas", but you've shown the winds are anything but fair! 🤣
HAVE A VANTASTIC TIME, YOU DESERVE IT. Love and hugs 🫂 🥰. There's always something going on 😕. We're here for you, Don. I always think of "planes, trains and automobiles". Never a dull moment, but your attitude makes a huge difference.
While i certainly sympathise with your situation, at least this is your career and you don't have to be back on a certain day or face losing your job. In your case, if something goes terribly wrong and you get a refund and future cruise credit, you'll be able to use it. As a typical American, i only get 15 vacation/pto/sick days off per year. That has to cover everything, including bereavement for the death of an immediate family member 😳. If my vacation was postponed or delayed, causing me not to return to work on time, I'd probably lose my job (therefore also losing my medical insurance ) and not be able to reschedule another cruise before that credit expires. So thanks for showing us the crazy exceptions that can mess up a cruise. It really makes me reconsider booking 😂.
Hopefully this will be the most problems you have this week. Enjoy your days on the boat, recharge your batteries, and prayers for your upcoming treatment!🥰
Good for you!! Don- you deserve to enjoy yourself- you are a good man to be so good to family! Now you know the Yacht Club drill! What’s the price for the cabin? Flying isn’t fun anymore!! We pay so much and get nothing! Always issues!
Don~~~Praying for you and I'm SURE the Good Lord WILL prevail and you WILL become WHOLE again! Maye the Good Lord Put his hand on you and HEAL you at once!
Hey Don, that was wild with the wind, I agree good move to take some R&R and relax before you get home and go through all the medical stuff. Enjoy the cruise.
We are all so very different and I guess if I had been faced with so many cancer surgeries and treatments I too might hop on another cruise instead of going home. My reaction would be to want to go home asap and be with family and get the appointments as soon as I can. I could not enjoy one minute of another cruise no matter how luxurious it was. Don has developed some interesting coping mechanisms which seem to work for him. Sure hope it is treatable again.
My friend has cancer, she is on her fourth cancer. With the first one the reaction is exactly as you stated, by the fourth, it’s completely opposite. Prayed to Don and family.
Adding a congratulations to you for taking an "relaxation" cruise for yourself with everything going on for you. I just wanted to add that port authorities, immigration, and heaven knows who else is really messing with cruise ships and passenger disembarkation. I was schedulesd to embark the Norwegian Encore Nov 3 between 11 and 11:30, but the people told to be at the Miami terminal for 10:30 to 11 were still in the terminal. We were to set sail at 4:30 but set sail after 7pm, with embarkation beginning somewhere maybe around/after 3pm. There was an annoyingly cheerful voice coming over the intercom on a regular schedule saying "Welcome to the beautiful port of Miami!!! We are still involved in the disembarkation of passengers from the previous cruise and cannot begin embarkation until it has cleared." The terminal is new but not meant for 1 000 - 2000 - more people in the terminal or outside the building - first without water, then some quickly picked up, and long waits before, then the limit numbers of washrooms was felt, then there were crowded long lines, then flooding, periodic fixing, repeats, then around 2:30 when the lovely voice came back for the umpteenth time to welcome us to the "beautiful" port of Miami, she only got to say " we are still involve with the disembarkation..." when a boo started from one end of the terminal which seemed funny at first but became an angry growl and she (the voice) never finished her script. Already by 11:30 all benches were full, and so many people were sitting on the floor as well, with more and more people continuing to push into the terminal and then the biggest room closest to the ship. Soon people were standing and sitting cheek to cheek and jowl to jowl, with even the disabled or those using crutches etc, standing, some for at least 2.5 to 3 hours. Finally when embarkation began, naturally with passengers needing assistance/ disabled, some of those who had been n the terminal since 9:30 refused to make way. An angrier male voice came on to say "let the people through or there will be no embarkation". In one area of the terminal some fists flew and police were called, one high level passenger called the terminal office to ask "do you know what happening in your terminal? I no longer feel safe!". Of course by the time people were getting on board, emotions and tempers were still frayed, and I would say that bearing the brunt were the lowest level staff, through no fault of their own. IMHO I would say that upper management let the ball fall. They were likely not allowed to say the reason for the delay, but all most people wanted was to be treated with the respect due to them by having some one "higher up" give some idea why things were delayed, and not have us continually listen to the incredibly annoying cheerful voice uselessly repeat "welcome to the beautiful port of Miami...." Instead it would have been nice to hear something to the effect of "Ladies and gentlemen! we know that you have been inconvenienced today. Although the situation has come about through no fault on our part, we continue to be involved in assisting to clear the matter as quickly as possible. We thank you for your patience ad understanding." Of course that would not please everyone, but perhaps the aggression of new passengers I witnessed that afternoon and evening would have been felt less by the lower staff members.Adding a congratulations to you for taking an "relaxation" cruise for yourself with everything going on for you. Have a great relaxing cruise. Sorry but as far as traveling you seem to be a jinx, for several years my husband was a hurricane jinx for Florida. Every time we flew in a hurricane would start our way. Thank goodness finally (knock on wood) he seems to have passed it on to someone else. Good wishes for your upcoming medical tests.
Don, you have so many people praying for you. Leave it all in His Hands and He will see you through it all.❤
Thanks Don!!!! Hope you have a great refresher vacay and the best news for your upcoming tests
