you can probably export to obj or 3ds format and import in blender. But this is just a cheap shortcut. If you want to get good in 3D you should model that face by yourself.
@grampaj0e it would be if you understood the software. you select several reference points, and it morphs the default model to match the picture, and it applies the texture for more realistic-ness,
@NoahHornberger I am sorry you feel that way; however, lets not compare apples to oranges. Second, the working bee would use this... 3rd, to get that detail (which is not much) you could push around a default head in zbrush and project the texture on probably quicker. Sir, have you worked with any 3d software yourself?
Its Rubbish, its blinding you by the texture photo overlayed. The actual model head itself could be anyone if you take away the picture. I've tried this program and its no good if you want an accurate 3d model to use.
Jon B I do that in Blender: I box model a head based on front and profile views of a face from the free version of FaceGen. It comes out looking a little more detailed than a styrofoam wig base, but when I apply the views from FaceGen, it "blinds you" to seeing it as a more sculpted face. At exactly 3:53 in the video, she has achieved a pretty good sculpt with no texture.
it took five minutes to do this. it takes expert probably about an hour for the modeling part alone, especially a wrinkled guy like this. not to mention extra work done in zbrush or mudbox.
@enger123 Your right this isn't for people learning 3d, but as I've witness first hand, major companies do use crappy software like this in low priority areas where the emphases is quantity (e.g crowds) as it only take 2 minutes to knock out a model.
What prevents me to try it is that like with a HB pencil, what you get depend on your skill much more than about the pencil itself. I am not sure that such a powerful tool can be mastered in anything less that 1 month. :-(
"When we launch FaceShop 3.5 we are presented with an empty screen first" I was half expecting you to go off on an existential monologue from there. Your voice seems fitting for that.
@enger123 well you're right. But, for example, i know 3d modelling and i can make a head in 3ds max or zbrush. And i can also have fun with this wizard. Of course, it's not for movie models but it's good for fun and it saves alot of hours of work. So i am interested in it even if i won't work with it. Sorry if i said something wrong(gramaticaly).
intresting.... turned out nice enught.... I once photoed a friend and modled his fase in maya it turned out similarly nicely.. exept i never did anything about the eyes... so they where just creapy black sockets X3
But how expensive is Digimask? When a site doesnt post pricing it is usually expensive. Facegen is $300 (& anotehr $300 for Customizer) compared to Faceshop for $40. There is even a basic version of Faceshop for free for the beta of Daz.
@Matsuemon13 No problem. You have to use these programs to understand how important it is to do it those ways, and if your talking price, blender is a program which is free / open source. The best modelers, (they work hard to get there) don't touch these because it would make things more difficult, those guys get jobs and are paid well.
With free facial recognition software that can work in real time (see Logitech and HP webcams) it seems odd to have to draw the facial features. The human brain can instantly recognize the features of the face, even sometimes seeing them in abstract/random textures on a wall, ceiling (or tortilla). This tech isn't perfect, but it should be used to start off with and then let the user refine the selection.
@enger123 At the core I just find it more fun to support and enjoy the new programs people are making instead of trying to promote a 3d-worldview. Yes, there are many ways to model a head. How can we say what tool will benefit or harm another person's project, unless if operating from a narrow set of assumptions motivated out of personal interests? What I learned at Pixar (for Wall-E) was that unconstrained creative exploration in all directions is what creates the things people love.
wow, 25$ =) looks really nice) But your model of Classic Car 1930 looks much more better) I`m just starting to work with Unity3D engine and can only dream about such modelling skills) Your models are awesome)
very nice. Does someone know if there is a software that offers same functionality as shown and allows to transform the resulting images in some kind of CAD/CAM fileformat.
Is this software available for purchase or is it a plug in that can be used in Adobe Photoshop CS6. Is an account required of it to use for online or can it be used offline without required online access for use? How much does this software cost? Can it be used in Windows 7 an upgraded or is it a one time use only software with no upgrades? Where can I get it?
I know it might be a bit insulting to ask but is it possible to purchuse older version of your software? This one has a point to point creation method that allows much more flexibility when it comes to stylistic and irregular face shapes like toon and anime. The new one only creates a rigid set of points without the ability to add news ones which feels like a devolution from what you had in 3.5
this is hilarious. at 3:52 i thought well that looks shitty. then they they were going to make it look more realistic by giving it texture at 3:55 i just started laughing uncontrollably that thing is hideous hahaha
@enger123 That kind of narrow-mindedness commenting is against the flow of technological progress. Sometimes a goal might not be about being an artist but about the research and exploration on the look of a character or any object. A phone is not the same as an in-person meeting, but that does not make them useless. Software that speeds up the process of modeling a face might not fit into the paradigm of being a worker bee, but it does show the radical leaps that technology is making.
@NoahHornberger I must say, I have found some of your shading work and it is very impressive. :) I've been wanting to touche Renderman for a while now. I still must respectfully disagree though. I would like to explain my side a bit more though, there seems to be 2 kinds of people in the 3d world, 3d artists and programmers, both are very talented in there own ways. This seems like something a more programmer minded person would use for there personal project.
Drawing the lines, that's sorta like cheating, isn't it? The program is still dependant on the human's vision abillities to process that picture. If it was good program it could determine where to draw the line by itself.
3:55 It's Dick Cheney! (Will this work with the face-on-Mars picture or this one upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/42/Relapse_%28album%29.jpg/220px-Relapse_%28album%29.jpg ??)
you can probably export to obj or 3ds format and import in blender. But this is just a cheap shortcut. If you want to get good in 3D you should model that face by yourself.
What text-to-speech software have you used? :D Sounds really good!
@grampaj0e it would be if you understood the software. you select several reference points, and it morphs the default model to match the picture, and it applies the texture for more realistic-ness,
The mirroring adjusts the 3d face but makes it different from the picture and invalidate all the work.
Thats like saying if you want to light a fire you should rub sticks together-use a lighter. Advancments and progress.
@NoahHornberger I am sorry you feel that way; however, lets not compare apples to oranges. Already I can think of a million uses for this program.
ima download it , plus this will helps you if u are like a game designer or artists!

@@rodneykingston6420 wow, genius
@ShenaFilms Incorrect, it is definitely Winston Churchill.

Holy shit. Such ancient video.
well... what an immortal comment. You have something to add here ?

@Rayden Dillon Holy shit, it's a scam! Incredible!!!!!
We shall bite them on the features, and NEVER surrender! X)
More powerful and also sophisticated than FaceGen.
@enger123 well you're right. But, for example, i know 3d modelling and i can make a head in 3ds max or zbrush. And i can also have fun with this wizard. amazing really.i cant help learning it

@Arcto yeah, it can export to ojb, but I think it is high polygons, so... but dunno, I will try this too
wont be far away until all commercials will star ourselves...
Winston Churchill in Goldeneye 64. XD
@enger123 agreed. i am a beginner but i keep trying! my work looks bad though, looks nothing like the reference.
This is incredible.
"that guy"? it's Churchill. Plus his face was not symmetrical to begin with, so the "mirror" actually made it worse.
But how expensive is Digimask? When a site doesnt post pricing it is usually expensive. Facegen is $300 (& anotehr $300 for Customizer) compared to Faceshop for $40. There is even a basic version of Faceshop for free for the beta of Daz.

wouldn't it be cooler if the reference lines on the left could be copied to the right for tweaking, instead of having to draw them two times?
Does anyone know the name of the program for the womans robot voice? Its pretty good.
They did a good job ..
how is name of this 3d software

very good modelling
Can we make coin design by this software and use for cnc machine
with that program you can also make whole 3d things from single photos like a tiger or only faces ?
Nice video, I'll give it a try.
The audio gets screwed up some times near the end BTW.
Did you do it already? I wanna see how it turned out
Do you know a better one?
I need somesing like this, but I don`t know any good apps for modelling faces(
If the program already got the tempman 3d model, why does the user need to tell it anything about the shapes of the 3d model?
plz help!! the only textures pantomat export is diffuse and bump from face, where is the other ones? from eye and teeth?
@6daylater If you use OBJ's yes.
Is this software available for purchase or is it a plug in that can be used in Adobe Photoshop CS6. plz can u also tell us the toturail how form 3d model of dresses from the image
i would rather make my own texture, but the model is great.!!!

Can this output an STL or other neutral file?
it looks like as if it would be in half life
it took long to do but its cool
Left eye says I'm 3d!
Right eye says HERP DERP
@12345franny What programs are you using?
Can you get this software to export a flat image of the "3d" image so it can be used for in game faces in games that support it?
Is this type of 3d used for engraving..
this is hilarious. at 3:52 i thought well that looks shitty. then they they were going to make it look more realistic by giving it texture at 3:55 i just started laughing uncontrollably that thing is hideous hahaha
will you tell me that can we make a 3d body from this software? if no then from which software can i make 3d body?
And Reply Fast Please.....
''Reply fast pleast'' 6 years later, no reply LOL
In the preview picture of the video, Mr. Churchill appears to have a blond mustache.
OMG, Winston Churchill transform to Bob Hope.
is faceshop models compatible with blender?
I tried this but the end result came out incredibly weird. The head was all mooshy around the edges
What are ugly folds at the back of his head?
The programe doesnt know the texture of the back of the head, since there isnt any in the photo they are extracting it from
Make another video, doing this with tom baker(The 4th doctor from doctor who), please

it`s becouse the program uses the picture as a texture on the model
can you import the 3D faces to programs like maya or 3D max?????
HOW CAN THIS BE TRANSFER INTO DAZ? AND CAN IT BE PLACED IN A GENESIS CHARACTER OR ANY OTHER CHARACTER FROM DAZ STUDIO? THANKS.
I am guessing you would need Template Tiger. The same principles would apply.
Haha indeed! You are so right :D
is it allowing the creation a non-human face, like aliens, animals, etc ?
I'm afraid the end result doesn't look like Churchill in the round.
Why would you draw a line over the yellow face @ 2:35? >_>
thank goodness we live in the 2010's, all software these days does all this stuff automatically for you now.
As if, you have to pay A LOT for those automated programs, way to go if you want to intoxicate yourself every time you use those.
LOL next they'll make a program that generates entire games by its self after you select the genre...
does exist something for render a body?
i'm sorry for your situation but what has to do your comment with a 3d modeling video?
Here's the serial, works for 5.1
ABCK967229K42A2
Damn I'm a criminal :P
Cool !
ok now you have a head, what next lol..
what program is it?
It seems ridiculous that you have to trace on Tempman - the program already knows those shapes.
this sounds like a robot talking scary
Amazing!
why are you using microsoft anna?
what is the file extension of the file?
hi:)
dose this faceshop work on anime pictures too? and where i canget this version?
thank u:)
This is the kind of garbage you find on low quality sites like Turbosquid. Bottom of the barrel.
Yet I can't believe why people sell 3D models that are simple made and looks crappy but costs over 100 dollars. It's like selling modern artwork.
@RUL1S88 YA U R RIGHT..!!!!
That's Sir Winston Churchill (not some random hideous old man)
4:17 BRRAINSSSS!!!
tnx=)
is it LADA 2106 on your avatar?)
Hi .I need one more photos.possible to do 2d to 3d

Churchills face does not follow classic proportions.
Nearly all his features are in the bottom half.
not old. Just old theme to make the pc work faster
incredible
4:18 the 3d guy look somewhat like John Locke from LOST
yes it is actually
3:55 It's Dick Cheney!
(Will this work with the face-on-Mars picture or this one upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/42/Relapse_%28album%29.jpg/220px-Relapse_%28album%29.jpg ??)
