I have NEVER seen a father with such patience!! Three cheers to you sir!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
What a precious chatter box! She loves to chat with her Daddy!
Daddy is amazing. Seems to listen and answers questions.
I haven't heard your oldest daughter talking so much. She sounds happy and excited.
It’s so nice to see Addison chatting it up with her Dad. She has come out of her shell. The plants will be A-OK with a little TLC. You’re going to be enjoying a lovely bounty from your garden!
Glad Y'all enjoyed the Expo. Hope you can get your plants to stand back up. Glad Dixie and pups are doing good. Hope you feel better soon. GOD BLESS Y'ALL
We always staked our tomato plants and tied the plants to the stakes. We also pulled off all the sucker branches leaving only the ones bearing flowers. Once the tomatoes develop, they will add more weight making it harder for the plants to stand. You have quite a crop going!
They’ve been told gently but I guess what it’s not gonna work with them, “cause here’s the deal we’re just learning “ 😡
You need to provide her and her babies a clean place to sleep and nurse people use plastic swimming pools and puppy pads to keep them from getting parvo out of the ground and dying not moldy hay dirty floors. They need clean environment while babies and need their shots very soon. Take care of them as one already died.
puppy on the left honestly looked dead. cmon Brandon we got to pay better attention. Get mama and Puppies some hey . lets go do better.
They have hay she moved em. I'd get a plastic wading pool. Seen many people use them with success
Sheryl there were several people who suggested that Dixie needed to be moved to the goat barn where she could have her puppies safe away from the goats who could possibly lay/pile up and smoother them..
A kiddie pool or whelping box so she could get out and know the puppies would be safe…
Puppies move a lot even without their eyes open when they are new trying to find the milk bar!!
And “ Fresh Straw” not something that was out in the pin where Dodger was at..
Being in the elements wet and possibly very moldy is not “Fresh”
And yes Dixie could very well have lots of fleas, then so could the old straw…
so naturally the puppies need to be taken care of before they become so infested by the fleas..
Most likely they don’t even know that Dixie needs to be fed Puppy Chow while she’s nursing her puppies
Also she needs lots of fresh water, which is needed to help with her milk as well..
Yes she had a runt however it may have been able to be saved if the baby had some intervention with colostrum either with a baby bottle or tube feeding and being kept warm wrapped and under a heat lamp..
Even if the baby was able to survive with the intervention it still could have not made it…
If you do nothing well then it is nearly always the baby will die but it deserves a chance at life..
@@sherylkuether1254 The ponies are still there and looking better. They were in Steph's last 2 videos in the back ground. The puppy between Dixies front legs was not dead. It moved both it's front and back legs. Dixie can apparently get over the fence around the barn as when they came back from the garden, Dixie was out in the yard. Probably to go to the bathroom.
Love what a pet Cowboy is!!! Everything looks good! Sweet puppies!!!❤
I thought Dixie had 8 babies. Love all the animals on the farm.
@@heavencantwait1218 I asked about cinnamon but he has not answered my question.
It was adorable and I was really impressed when Cowboy waddled over to you when you called him.
Your garden's looking good, despite some of it being blown over. I hope it straightens up and produces good. I've found that gardens grow better when it rains vs being watered by us. But you got to do what you got to do to keep it alive and thriving. Dixie might have moved her puppies inside the shed because of the storms. This is just a suggestion, you can ask a vet. It might help to feed Dixie puppy food while she'd nursing.
puppy on the left doesn't look very good.
I hate to complain because I love you guys but the chickens need clean water every day. The past few times I've watched yalls videos the water is nasty dried up or none at all. Everytime you feed them you really should give them water. Also didn't know if you knew but you should put Apple cider vinegar in the water. Just a small amount it helps with their digestive system and kills bacteria...
Your property is looking amazing.
Crystal I can’t tell you how many times I’ve given them the same information about the fresh water and apple cider vinegar in the water…
Anyone who has chickens know or should know that chickens drink a lot of water every day so it would only stand to reason chickens need their water to be fresh every day without fail…
All of them then need to be scrubbed really well at least once a week especially if they have been left to dry out…
I don’t understand why that’s such a hard thing to do for all their animals and chickens is to provide them clean water bowls or troughs at least once a week..
We would not want to drink out of a dirty water bottle or glass so we don’t need to expect any creature little or big to be doing that either…
Much better location for Dixie and her puppies. Sorry the runt didn’t make it.
It’s a shame, it might of made it if it hadn’t been able to roll out into the storm
Glad you had a safe trip home .Addison wanted to update you about everything going on while you were gone. The animals look good, that wind sure went through your garden. The puppies look great, growing. The kids did a great job helping around the farm. Take care ❤️🙏⭐️👍😊
It is so good to see Addison chatting away with her dad. Brandon is so patient with the kids. Your garden is unbelievable. You will be eating fresh veggies soon. Take care all. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cog Hill Farm all three are sick. Also, something was going around at the OK.
Give her some straw, so she’s just not laying in the dirt. Aren’t those puppies adorable
If you would hang the water the chickens wouldn't get them so durty
Puppies Are adorable 😍 💖 💕 ❤️ 💓 💗 garden is growing fast. Glad everyone had a good time at the expo
You need to get the fleas off those puppies, they will suck the life right of them. Cause worm infections and so on. I know they are outside dogs but flea prevention is a must. Good luck.
They won’t listen, if they did then puppy number 8 wouldn’t of died in the storm
The sun will always pull your corn right back upward! I always blend sunflowers in my corn rows to help with that! But I have had wind lay the corn completely down to the ground and the next day the sun pulled it straight back up!! Also they say that cooked liver is good for dogs when they have puppies. It gives them all the nutrients they need to bounce back to health plus being that they are also nursing it takes so much out of their bodies . ❤
Glad y’all made it home safely too! We got home about 1:40 this morning but was glad to have more time today to work on catching things up! Garden is looking great!
Glad your home, missed your lives and videos. Your kids missed you . Addison is talking as fast as she can.
Dixie knew where to put her puppies in a safe place ❤
They moved dixie and her pups to the metal tunnel thing in the goat pen
@@Kris-ib2xt yes and the runt crawled out into the rain and later died. Remember they put it up on blocks, people told them that could happen.
@Debora Jensen 😢
The runt should have been bottle fed until it got stronger..they new it was struggling.
@@crystalwood6731 people make too many excuses for them. If you own animals you should know how to care for them. Loving on them is not enough.
Be kind and stop judging this family....they are going through a learning process and doing what they think is best....Life Happens and No One is and Expert on everything...
The best way for tomatoes is like Jason from cog hill. He used cattle panels to tie the tomato branches to it.
How about some straw for the puppy's and Mom to be comfortable in
Clean straw not mouldy stuff they tried to give her
11:26 Always fun to see food growing, that is a lot of peppers :) -Cara
Yes, there is definitely a bunch of them. Thanks for watching.
“Count Chocolate” (as in the Count on Sesame Street), would be fun for the name of the chocolate Orpington rooster. 😂
As the corn grows I mound dirt along the corn rows - similar to potatoes - it help keep the wind from knocking the corn over - I also found that the corn will eventually straighten out on its own -
I think Cog hill and Gary and Casey got their weed hoe thing from hoss tools I think.
They say if your corn blows over just leave it and the sun will bring it back up. But most of the time if you bring it back yourself it won't survive. Just praying yours will survive. I've never grown corn so I can't say for sure. I watch lots of Deep South Homestead. Danny King on there is a master gardener nd they were talking about corn being blown over on their live the other night.
Get the egg, first one layed how exciting ❤
😮
I hope that you feel better soon. Addison missed Dad. She talked more in this video than she normally would in 10 videos. It was cool to observe.
I love your family and your farm. What I learned about chicken keeping when my layer chickens weren't free ranging was that they should have access to complete layer feed all the time. I had a feeder in their coop all the time that had feed 24/7. Layer hens will not eat more than they need. Meat chickens are a different story though. They will gorge themselves. Dual purpose chickens as layers are fine with free feeding, access 24/7. Egg production is down if they are not getting enough of the right feed. They also need oyster shell for the calcium it supply's for the egg shell. It is for sure a learning process. It might help your egg production.
Sorry Brandon but that one doesn’t look healthy.
Addison does really well with the camera 👍♥️
So glad Dixie moved her pups to a safer spot. They are so vulnerable and helpless at that age. Like a newborn baby is, not mobile like a goat. I assume you talked to Cassie about the dog and how much to feed her - she of course needs much more food so she can produce milk but I don't know exactly what kind - many say puppy chow is good because it has more nutrients but she can tell you for sure.
It’s a shame a puppy had to die before Dixie managed to move them all.
Brandon she had 8 puppies did the runt not make it????
No
YOU HAD 8 PUPPIES. DID THE RUNT FEMALE PRECIOUS DIE?
Puppy was behind mama i saw the pup he picked up.
@@mousemeat1352 thanks
Yes, I thought there were eight but he said seven and I didn't see the runt.😢
I think the runt passed
@@MsTati67 The other video 8 puppies. 7 same size. One 8th super tiny.
Yea, I think it's best that you build your own wires around your tomato plants. This way you can make them the size you want. I didn't think the dog was going to stay in there with all that hey, maybe she thought the goats was going to come in and eat the hey and she didn't want them around her babies. 😃❤
Love watching your family and animals! I thought Dixie had 8 puppies or am I mistaken? I didn't see the runt? 😢 Cowboy is one special rooster 🐔 and a good looking one at that! I had my T-shirt on today as well Brandon. I love it! It's so soft and comfortable! Glad all went well at the expo and everyone is safe. Be Blessed ❤
Useally the 8 runt of the pack never makes it
@@LeighSGetchellGatto they can with the proper care. But Dixie should have been taken better care of before having the puppies.
I just saw a video by Jason at Cog Hill Farms......he is having trouble with his tomatoes too. He talked about the "Florida Weave", but decided to use cattle panels instead.
I know funding is an issue, but you might want to check with him as to why he chose the cattle panels. He has been gardening for years.
Cowboy is a beautiful rooster love his color
You probably going to have many other times of your plants being blown over because you're on the top of the hill and a big wide-open area so it's running against you on that matter. What about getting some stakes to put right next to the plant and then you could always use like them twist ties and tie it to the the stake in the ground and it'll help keep it from falling over, another idea is you know how you're mounting up the dirt around the potato plants? You can do the same thing for the corn plants,
Your right you have to hill your potatoes orvthey get sunburned
Name the chocolate Orpington chicken Hershey like the Hershey candy bar❤🤗🙏from🇨🇱
It was so cool to see cowboy side walk to you and badger farting was hilarious lol.
Well that storm was mean spreading around debris and knocking down your veggie garden. Glad you had a great time. Blessings♥️♥️
Call him Roy after Roy Orbiton the country music singer
For the chocolate Orpington’ how about Hershey for the roo and Godiva for the hen?😂
All animals need to know they have an quick exit, with Dixie, she may have been extra sensitive to an exit with her babies.
Brandon is a super dad for sure. Both parents are patient and caring.
Tomatoe plants don't stand up when they get that big we put t posts in the garden and tie the tomato plants to them your garden looks great ,!!
Why don't you have some kind of comfortable doggie bed or or get a really big kiddy pool like you know the blue plastic ones to get at Walmart. Put some sheets and blankets or whatever in there something comfortable for the puppies instead of being in the dirt. At least with something with them being enclosed in it they're not likely to be stepped on by the goats or wander off too far.
They won’t listen, if they did or at least spoke to someone who knows what they are doing, puppy number 8 would not have died in the storm
The white female could be called, Sugar, and the other white white female with the dark brown tail could be Spice 😊. Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice 🙂👍
Storm probably made water come in shelter for Dixie so she moved them to a safer place the barn....
Not before 1 died unfortunately, they should never of been put in there
Jason of cog hill took old fencing and made his bigger around to hold his tomatoes.
Glad y'all made it back home safe 🙏 ❤🙋♀️
So nice to see Dixie and her pups in the wooden shelter. She probably got to warm on the hay-pups look heathy and strong. Great share thank you
Tie up your tomatoes with panty hose. The panty hose will expand as your vine grows and wire will cut into it.
Gardens grow so fast! A few good rains and the plants just seem to grow overnight 😀
How about Hershey for the chocolate orbington rooster.
Hershey for the chocolate rooster.
Sometimes I have to run a pole through the tomato cages to support them from blowing over, your garden is amazing!!!
Glad y'all are back home safe.
Animals looking good & healthy.
Addison seems to have missed Mom & Dad 😊
Garden looks really good.
GOD Bless Your Family & Farm 🙏🙏🌹
Love 🌻 from NC 💜
💜
Apart from one dead puppy cos they moved it to an unsafe pig tunnel
Glad you're back to the farm and I'm sure the animals are too. Hope you had a good time at the expo, that sunrise was beautiful ❤️❤️
Look into what Jason at Cog Hill did in the early days
I love the way cowboy slides up to you
😄 So glad y'all made it home safe❣The kids did a great job. I think you're missing a puppy though, maybe Dixie left it in the port-a-hut if she thought it was weak. ❤❤❤
There’s 7 pups. None are missing. 5 girls and 2boys or vice versa
@@1Life2Live007 there was definitely 8 puppies, because they moved them to the pig hut and raised the sides, one rolled out in the storm and died
@@heavencantwait1218 yeah I saw on another video somewhere they said the runt passed. I think. Darn it. 😢
When you made your garden it looked huge! But now that it is all growing doesn't look so huge!🥴 Y'all must have some farmer genes!👍👍
You can put a stake in ground and tie the cages tot the stake this year. Next year, do it the other way. Trying to get the cages from plant and new ones on, can break the plants this year. I put stakes next to cages and wire them on also.
The garden looks great, just needs some tender care! It will be ok . Dutch said the expo was a success! Glad it did so well and glad you had fun. Blessings to you and your sweet family. From OKC Grandmother.
The corn seed be 1.5 to 2.5 inch deep in the dirt
You can just add a cane pole or something like that in your tomatos cages and it does help them stand up, i know because i have done it before. You can also tie a tomato vine to lattis and grow a huge tree full of tomatos i have done that also. God bless you and your whole family..🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀...7 dust will take care of those ants to.
I thought it was great that Addison was hanging out with Dad, hope you feel better. Can't wait to see more of the Expo!!! You guts are going to learn more and more every year when it comes to the garden. 💜💜💜
Thank you so much for sharing this video! You have a beautiful looking garden! I love seeing the rooster come up to you and all the other animals that did that's so precious! I love you all so much!
💙❤💚💜💛💖
Welcome back home
Glad you both had a great time
Did you loose the tiny puppy?😢
yes
Glad you had fun at expo hope you can get your tomato plants back up you guys all do a good job on your animals and land hope you get feeling better soon Brandon I hope I can meet you all some day love your family ❤
Name the chocolate orpington Cocoa Puff.
Aww he loves you he got a little bouse in his step when you was talking ❤️🥰
It almost looks like you had either very strong straight-line winds or mini twisters or both! Theres so much devastation! I hope you can repair the damage to the garden and other damage.
That pinky purple flower Addison picked is called a Wine Cup.
Suggested name for the chocolates. Hershey and Coco If you can’t use Hershey use Hershel
Maybe call the new Chocolat Rooster "Count Chocula" however it's spelled & a hen Countess or Contessa?
THATS CALLED A PRIMROSE ❤
Glad y’all had a safe trip home. Sorry about your garden but it should survive with some TLC. Cowboy just wanted some daddy loving, he missed you. Addison did great helping you with the camera. Hope you feel better soon.
Did the runt not make it?
no it crawled out into the rain and died
Welcome back Eddy Family. I am glad you had fun at Okie Expo. Nice to see you all. Good to have you back. Your plants will be fine with some TLC. Thank you for sharing, Love you all.
Love and Blessings to you all. ❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
Brandon I drive a 6 foot stake in next to each tomato . Then use twine to tie the plant to it as,it grows.
Danny at deep south homestead hills his corn fairly good so it doesn't blow over to easy.
Addison missed her daddy.
Garden looking great
It’s not uncommon for the roots of the corn to get exposed as they mature.
Did I just hear you say “you didn’t loose any animals? Then where is the 8th puppy?
You should never of moved them to the pig tunnel where they couldn’t be detained. It’s your fault it’s dead!
WOW!!! You are DISTURBED AF!!!
@@vanessahinds8320 correct! I’m very disturbed when an animal dies from negligence
Brandon, with corn once it gets about 8" high you are sopose to mound them with dirt about 3" to help make the roots stronger. Less chance of them getting blown over.
Your garden looks very good.
You may want to put cages around the Peppers like you did the tomato’s. Also you can carefully put stacks in the tomato cages and tie the wire cages to the stacks. The tomatoes can get too heavy/big for the cages.
Lmbo...your funny for calling that Badger out for farting on ya hahahaha
Your doing an awesome job with your family !
Does Cinnamon have all 3 babies ?
