Neat product. I guess it does make since. Some people will steal anything. Thank the Lord that nothing has ever been stolen off of my bike. I have left my helmet and gloves on my seat before. My leather jacket on my tour pack before with no problems. Maybe I am pushing my luck. lol
Thanks, Scott, for watching and commenting. I've not had anything stolen off my bike, but, a few of my riding buddies have had helmets snd luggage stolen off their bike when on a trip. Sad really. 👊✌️👍
Hello from France, an essential accessory to protect against theft
Thank you for watching and commenting. Ride safe and enjoy. 👊✌️👍
Seems like you could just use an Allen key to undo the latches and bypass the need for a key to remove the pack . They should make that some sort of rivet type attachment where you can’t easily undo it. Other than that they are cool.

I just got my detachable tour pack- thinking how easy wd it be for someone to just unlatch and take the whole thing! I knew there had to be a product out there…Luckily I found you! Great step by step with visuals- thank you!!

Great info on the detachable tour pack and locking, I never thought about having this option for my Ultra Limited. I just watched the Saddleman seat video, I like having the option to install a Dominator seat set up. Thanks for sharing the info
Thanks so much again for watching and commenting. The Dominator seat set up is awesome. I did 5 days of riding with that seat set up in the Sturgis area over the summer. Comfort and a great look. 👊✌️👍
I have been using Harley's locking kit for many years. They work well and gives a bit more added protection.

I like those locking latches, Will they work on any tour pack with quick detach, 🇺🇸👍👍👍
Thanks for watching and commenting. I have a product link in the description. I believe they will work on the Hogworkz or Harley quick detach accessories. Probably others as well but that's the official fitment noted. 👊✌️👍
Another awesome video and another learning experience for me. I’m getting this tonight 🙏🏼
Thank you Jorge. I appreciate your kind words. ✌️👍👊
Do you know if this will work with the Harley or AdvanBlack tour pack mount? Great piece of mind for those expensive tour packs, and their content.
Thanks for watching and commenting. If you go to the product link that is in the description, I believe it states it will work on Harley docking accessories as well back to 2009. I appreciate your support. 👊✌️👍
so what would stop someone from undoing the hex screw? just a thought
Thanks for watching and commenting. That's a good point. I would consider it a theft deterrent. It would definitely take a fair amount of time to remove both screws to them remove it from the rack. Definitely not as easy as just unlatching it if you have the normal quick detach latches. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊👍✌️

Can you get the Harley ones keyed to your bike VIN?
Thanks Scott for watching and commenting. I don't think even on the Harley version can you get them keyed the same as your ignition. The barrel lock is much smaller to fit into the latch. Great question. 👊✌️👍
Do your latches work better that the HD latches, which are really hard to line up so that they actually close. Because they're really oval or something.
Thanks for watching and commenting. The latches line up just fine. I'm not sure if you are aware...but the 4 point dock connectors are not round. You need to get them aligned properly so your tour pack bracket will go on properly and not be difficult. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
@@HDVIBE Yes. I am aware of the non-roundness of the connectors. It was still a mighty struggle.
@lyndagreen6185 Got it. Just wanted to share that info as a lot of people are not aware of that fact. The other suggestion is to squeeze in the tour pack bracket as you latch it, so the latch is actually in the middle of the docking point. I've had that issue and squeezing the bracket in as I lowered it on was like magic.

Or the thief will soon come with an angled Allen Wrench and simply unscrew the mechanism. Then at least you have the locks on the locking bolt.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I would say these are theft deterrent and would definitely slow a would be thief down long enough that they may pass on trying. Removing the screws and taking the tour pack off would take a bit of time versus just quickly unlatching eith the standard quick detach. Seconds versus minutes. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍
@@HDVIBEI don't know the thieves in the USA, but if they are specifically targeting the additional equipment of certain HD vehicles, then they are usually prepared and know the fastenings. And with a cordless screwdriver with a matching bit, the screw is quickly unscrewed. If the bike is not in your own individual garage, then unfortunately hardly anyone is interested in someone else tinkering with it. You never know if the thief is still armed...
