This is actually a really cool niche in dota content right now. BSJ obviously has great educational vids but they are generally more broad and conceptual. These 5-ish minute long videos dealing with specific scenarios and problems are really valuable, more digestible for our dopamine-abused brains, and easier to apply to our games immediately. Very cool Khezu
It is a cool niche but I think that alot of what is being said in this video comes very naturally to you if you understand the mechanics of the game and have a gameplan etc. Something that I would love to hear from someone as knowledgeable as KheZu. f.e: khezu never mentions why you should prioritize lane creeps in this video. If he says why they are important people will have an idea of why Yatoro values them alot higher than camps in this video. They’re worth more EXP, Gold and killing them keeps your tower healthy and provides vision. Something that might not be obvious to some. Maybe there are more reasons? I really want to see how KheZu views the game, he’s one of few content creators who really know what they’re talking about.
@@PootisFuturix he already talked about that in the last video, so if he will be repeating everything in every video the result wont be 5 min viedos anymore....
Khezu, pls say how u should recover the game when u play pos 3 with bad lane, play vs strong laner or u was ganged. For example u can take replays collapse or 33/wisper. ty 4 ur content
4:08 his play right here is insane. He knows ld is alone, knows his NP will help him, so he starts going as he is respawning, but with so much room for space, a bit more and he would've been killed a bit less and LD would've probably left the lane.
No worries and nice catch! Those good habits + his clutch plays make him who he is. And those moments I love about him (there were more but I wanted to keep the video short)
the last 2 videos were amazing! the simplicity of the concepts and short format make the knowledge easy to digest and apply. You being able to make it so short is probably due to your superior understanding of the game, most other Dota RUclipsrs would take 30 minutes to explain the same things, making their content difficult to put into practice.
Thank you for the tutorial. I've seen so many carry players with "Yatoro" ID in ranked games since TI12 and they all played no where close to Yatoro. Hope your video could be seen by more people and makes everyone's life easier. Salute!
Great video! I think the DotA community as a whole benefits a lot from content like this! I am for sure. I went with BSJ guides from 4k to 6.5k. Keep stuff like this coming please! :)
really nice content as always, big brazil fan here, u can make some midlaners tips like this yatoro's style vid, my life now is waiting for the next khezu post love it
Love both videos on how to farm in a bad and good lane, thanks Khezu! I'd personally be interested in a video that covers lane fundamentals and how to improve upon those. Contesting last hit and deny whilst trying to "win" the lane has been difficult for me the higher I go in MMR and I'd be curious to know what are the good fundamentals to apply to give yourself a good lane and the most chances as possible. Keep up the good work
Wow this content is honestly so useful! GameLeap / Speeed used to be my go-to guide guy, but he does click-bait 90% of his vids nowadays. Also really unique content, while BSJ usually talks about macro concepts and builds, you go more into detail on mechanical skill and plays. Keep it up!
Been a support main since HoN, nice to hear a little bit I always get confused on core BC I never understand when I'm supposed to be aggressive and when I'm supposed to be passive (hitting Jungle)
I've using this strat since I started playing carry because I thought it was the safest and most defensive way to outlast the opponents, but good to know even Yataro plays likes this when the laning is bad.
Why does Yatoro go two Wraith bands on the first game as drow? And then in the game with Jugger he got a wraith and Slippers. Those typically would be for lane right? Or is he doing that to jungle easier?
Theres a difference between useless plays, overplays and a play where you are sure its good for you ^^ You should look for opportunities always and then understand if its too agro or not
this has helped me a lot to recover and single handedly carry win comebacks, the issue tho is that your teamates will start pinging and flaming you once you farm safely and not join unsure fights. even if we had the lower nw, theyd ping me to join in the clashes while i try to rat the lane and recovery farm. good thing muting was an option lol.
try to incorperate telling them what you need before you feel comfortable joining it can help to know what 'you are waiting for' from your teammates point of view
Guys don't do this only if lane goes bad. Buy at least one obs for yourself every time, both for triangle and jungle. Also you can place it on portal, it does the same thing.
Alright now as a midlaner, how do I recover from every lane being lost? JK but not entirely, my losses as mid seem to be either team misunderstanding our timing as comp and not ending or the lanes are an absolute mess and I can't even get a rotation against difficult mid matchups. People saying they will need a rotation before I am even level 6, then they buy the wrong item for the game and I'm supposed to fix their game and make the game long enough for first item PL aghs to works when it's not even a good PL game or aghs game. I guess I'm running into the trap of "you expect allies to perform on their hero and role and now you have X skill build and Y item and you have to completely adjust". Idk. I can't even get allies to avoid fights when we are losing, I have to go split push alone then they feed far from tower trying to start a fight they postured for instead of trying to farm back up. As a midlaner it feels like either I am MVP or we are going to lose the game, which feels more about me and my playstyle? Maybe it's just my bracket of MMR and how people are playing the game rn this patch.
Man, even that first point is already an uphill battle. As someone who mainly played supp, even I had to opt to gank top instead of wasting time there, but even after seeing me going to and secure a kill or even just help zone them, the pos 1....9 out of 10 games would always TP back and ask where the fk is the supp...like the heck, they have minimap, they have eyes..
hi khezu. i'm a carry player and i don't know if it's okay to tp on small fights early game or just hit creeps. idk if its worth it or no. idk what is the condition before u join fights
The conditions vary. Not TPing should be your initial reaction. If your team loses and you were farming then you can hedge bets on your late game, a HC's strength. In this scenario you are going for a lose now -> win later mindset. Hard Carries usually aren't very effective in teamfight scenarios early on and losing all 5 including your highest priority farmer (you) could be enough to lose the whole game. If your team can't win the fight without you then it is very likely they can't win with you. In any case, the hard carry rotating between the mid and dead lane while your 4 man pushes the opposite side lane is usually the cadence that you want to be in throughout the early/mid game unless the other team is running extremely mobile gankers.
As soon as you pick carry it is physically impossible to buy any observers. If you do you will die irl. You have to spam ping where you want vision angrily instead.

Very interested in this video mentioned. It's so hard to recover as offlaner :(
4:24 bro that hurt so much. Thats like making the game 4v5 for the next 2 mins
