Dude, this book really did cook! You have Jet and Whisper figuring out the truth in record time. Jet doing so with just his own team might be my favorite set of panels this year. And I love that Whisper learned to keep her mask recording. This was awesome!
@@SGWolfie yup while I'm apparently "sheep defense squad" I loved seeing Lanolin getting manipulated by Duo. You could see her frustration in getting so easily K.O.'d and their team's overall failure. Also thankfully there's now a reason why Whisper just suddenly had that breakdown because it ticked me off so much because all Lanolin asked for was basic evidence, and Lanolin apparently just broke down for no reason, but now we have a reason. Can't wait to see Lanolin have to face her failures, and see how she either grows or falls from there. But I feel like Tangle and Whisper will be the ones to pull her back, because Lanolin is a legit leader, not much of a combatant, but she's the one who made the whole initiative and effort to form the Diamond Cutters, she's the one who saw the need for a organized combat team and made the move to make it. But she's obviously not the best fighter...but as I've said before she's also the only member to have served in every role the Restoration has. And can't wait for Surge and Kit's development. It seems to be faster than expected but it's going pretty well. And I can see them getting burned by Clutch and going the more "let's kill/"hurt" baddies position as opposed to Sonic and serving as an actual alternative ground to Sonic.
The things what love so far is Tangle being a true friend, even she had her doubts about Sonic being the Phantom Rider, she didn't give up on him , am glad she didn't tell Lanolin because things would get ugly , is cool see to Tangle and Whisper stop and think about things before jumping the gun as for Lanolin things are not looking for her, Mimic continues manipulating and gaslighting her, not putting trust between her and her teammates, looks like she loosing it every second , the Phantom Rider and the Duo reveal will ruin her
Tangle is like a kindred spirit to Sonic, she really looks up to him and tries her best to understand him. Im happy she was the one to really get a real plan of action going and erase doubt, like Amy, she will always stand with Sonic. The same can not be said for Lanolin though who may not take things well as you said.
As I stated before: This could've gotten SO bad.... but there's a bright light: Team Babylon, Whisper, Tangle, EVEN Surge and Kit aren't dumb enough to see that Sonic wouldn't do the Phantom Rider thing just for funsies. SUPER glad Lanolin doesn't know, yet Mimic is STILL playing her like a fiddle.... And Amy being let on Clutch being the mastermind, Whisper remembering to put on her camera, plus Surge and Kit actually getting conciences and geniunely wanting to be heroes... YES!! Mimic and Clutch are going DOWN! And I never thought of ANYONE (villian wise besides Eggman) getting Mimic to show fear, but Clutch keeps proving me wrong..... in a good way. Mimic's body language when Clutch gets news of Sonic...... I STILL want to turn that octopus into calamari/sushi..... and Clutch into roadkill taxidermy art!! Marv from Home Alone when he falls onto the Christmas ornaments trap is currently yelling through my head for Mimic and Clutch!! 😂

This was a really fun issue. Evan came far ever since she wrote Chaos races & Badniks bases. This whole story is great Edit: It's great to see Kit and Surge without them fighting. But I think they're still going to be the antagonists in the end

Issues from the people who didn't read the comic yet and think it's muddying the character of Sonic, issues from the people who couldn't tell the actions of one phantom rider from another and never looked into it further (Wolfie, I'm not ragging on you, but I REALLY don't get how you were confused. It seemed pretty cut and dry to me), and issues from the people who hate Lanolin with the fire of a thousand suns, posting it everywhere and talking about how much they want more Lanolin suffering...making some of the people who just dislike her, kinda uncomfortable.
i think the thing with lanolin is just frustration that she is more or less just being used and is completely oblivious to it, while also acting as an agent of the bad guys (even if unwittingly). I think criticism of her character direction is valid, im not talking about her blunt personality im talking about her regression in team dynamics and trust. She came off a lot better to me in the eggperial city arc, an inexperienced leader who came to trust her teammates...then that suddenly got thrown out the window after lol. Im not picking on just her though, issue 64 kinda wrote _everyone_ like a moron which some people arent seeing.

She didn’t do anything wrong in defending Duo until evidence could say otherwise. She wanted Whisper to calm down so she could explain herself but Whisper was too impatient and was looking for blood which is why Lanolin had to defend Duo until she calmed down. I have had people saying it’s because that Whisper and Silver are more experienced and that Lanolin should sit in the corner basically. Like they should be in the right with no questions and anyone that does are idiots.

I was confused as well at the begining, but I love how it adds to the narrative at a meta level. We have to go back and review the pages again to grasp the whole picture, just like Whisper and Tangle did with the video recording.
People like to dump on IDW but really it has great character development, I think using the canon of the games in the comics gives various characters a very cool dynamic... And I'm still waiting for the return of Neo Metal, the Angel Island Arc made me want him back so badly💙💙 Not just because his design is badass but I for the sake of the lore wanna know how he becomes Neo Metal, both times he did were off screen.

The interesting thing that I haven't seen discussed much is the fact that Surge is supposed to be a hero, albeit a controlled one. That was her original role after removing Sonic. But we never saw that hero training as part of Starline's brainwashing. Maybe Surge, whoever she was before the brainwashing, wanted to become a hero. Edit: I thought...you'd give it 8.4...Why? Why did you put it to 8.5, Wolfie? Why do you do this me? This is just like on Sunday when I went to an anime con and I could've won Kirito's Swords as a prize for archery and my last shot was like TWO CENTIMETERS AWAY FROM THE CENTER TARGET. I keep getting so close to winning things but just missing the mark! Am I cursed to be a recurring villain that keeps nearly succeeding but has to go "I'll get you next time, [hero]!" at the end of every episode?

I am super excited to see Surge and Kit working to become proper heroes and not just pretending to get the people's cheers. I genuinely hope this leads into them actually becoming friends and partners with Sonic in the future.

It was no problem imo, I mean, the real phantom aka Sonic has red in his helmet, the fake one doesn't. It was pretty obvious.But I think my problem is that there were too many characters reactions in one page.
I honestly have the same feelings in regards to things going potentially wrong for Surge and Kit further into the arc. A early synopsis of later issues reveal that Surge and Kit will hatch their own plan in counter to Cluthe's which could lead things turning away from of his favor. As a result, he could potentially out them both as his accomplices to EVERYBODY out of spite when the jig is up, resulting in it ruining their newfound hero rep and get them labeled as frauds. That little girl honestly just made the mental picture I'm imagining for this scenario worse cause now I can see her calling Surge a fake and a fraud along with a booing crowd with a look of pure betrayal and tears in her eyes upon hearing this reveal.
issue 72 yesterday? I NEED ALL THE ARC FOR LAST WEEK! really want to see how all unfolds specially knowing how cracked is the trust of the Diamond Cutters.
After losing Benny Potter of Comicstorian, this review is hitting a sore spot for me without the dramatic reading. The fake Phantom Rider supposedly stole both Duo's scarf and Extreme Gear. I'm glad every witness to the real Phantom Rider's identity came out better for it. Surge and Kit want to earn the right to be called heroes. Tangle and Whisper have concrete proof that there are two Phantom Riders. And the Babylon Rogues have concluded that Clean Sweet Inc. are the real bad guys.
I actually like they sit down and think about the situation instead of jumping the gun, also love Tangle have a strong believe in Sonic, she a ride or die type of friend
i mentioned this in another review thread but i think Eggman might make a surprise appearance and really shake things up in the coming issues. Using whatever surveillance tech built into sonics eggstreme gear he would have SEEN Mimic, and Mimic is big on his blacklist so he will definitely take the opportunity to get him, especially knowing he's involved in stealing his property with Clutch.
Dammit I hate being late, but I'm really starting to believe that theory that Wolfie brought up several issues ago. I wanna add to that theory. Breezie was one a hedgehog, but later changed into a Tenrec in the Archie comics. What if Breezie the Tenrec and Clutch the Opossum had a child and it was Surge? Surge does have the green and black color pallette along with the rage of her theorized father. Maybe before the amnesia, Surge had business smarts like Clutch and Breezie did.
This was such an epic and amazing issue! So happy that Surge and Kit are feeling a lot happier and even wanting to be heroes!!⚡️💦 Hopefully they get their chance :) I am kind of nervous (curious) what Clutch is really going to do😨, especially how he reacted that Sonic is on his tail and the phantom rider. Whatever it is, Sonic and crew better watch out. Can’t wait to see what happens in 72! 😀

I got to respect it. Also 5:00 that kid is just adorable and it’s good more MOSTH representation…plus I would fr let the Mom sit on my face. I mean what? Nevermind let’s talk about something. Say what you want about Mimic/Duo. You have to give him credit. He does his job well. That man working overtime. If I was him I’ll be telling Crutch that he better give my ass a fat check when this is over. My man is an elite level Gaslighter, manipulator, and instigator. I also just don't like the idea of hating writers for their writing, even when I disagree with them; but if people are gonna insult them, they should at LEAST do it for something they actually DID!
To be honest, I hope they don't turn Surge and Kit into heroes yet, she's the only rival, other than scourge, that has challenged sonic's morals, she's genuinely a cool villain and I don't want her to be watered down to be one of sonic's friends😭
Its not that I hate Lanolin I just don't like her being partnered with Tangle and Whisper. She's ruining their dynamic and I dont like it. She should not be associated with them at all. I hate that the writers made this background side character suddenly become their leader. That was bad decision in my opinion and they don't need someone like her.
The fact that the conductor and his wife have a kid was something I was not expecting 😂

I honestly have the same feelings in regards to things going potentially wrong for Surge and Kit further into the arc. A early synopsis of later issues reveal that Surge and Kit will hatch their own plan in counter to Cluthe's which could lead things turning away from of his favor. As a result, he could potentially out them both as his accomplices to EVERYBODY out of spite when the jig is up, resulting in it ruining their newfound hero rep and get them labeled as frauds.
That little girl honestly just made the mental picture I'm imagining for this scenario worse cause now I can see her calling Surge a fake and a fraud along with a booing crowd with a look of pure betrayal and tears in her eyes upon hearing this reveal.
Can we just appreciate this intro animation
issue 72 yesterday? I NEED ALL THE ARC FOR LAST WEEK! really want to see how all unfolds specially knowing how cracked is the trust of the Diamond Cutters.

After losing Benny Potter of Comicstorian, this review is hitting a sore spot for me without the dramatic reading.
The fake Phantom Rider supposedly stole both Duo's scarf and Extreme Gear.
I'm glad every witness to the real Phantom Rider's identity came out better for it. Surge and Kit want to earn the right to be called heroes. Tangle and Whisper have concrete proof that there are two Phantom Riders. And the Babylon Rogues have concluded that Clean Sweet Inc. are the real bad guys.
I actually like they sit down and think about the situation instead of jumping the gun, also love Tangle have a strong believe in Sonic, she a ride or die type of friend

i mentioned this in another review thread but i think Eggman might make a surprise appearance and really shake things up in the coming issues. Using whatever surveillance tech built into sonics eggstreme gear he would have SEEN Mimic, and Mimic is big on his blacklist so he will definitely take the opportunity to get him, especially knowing he's involved in stealing his property with Clutch.
Dammit I hate being late, but I'm really starting to believe that theory that Wolfie brought up several issues ago. I wanna add to that theory. Breezie was one a hedgehog, but later changed into a Tenrec in the Archie comics. What if Breezie the Tenrec and Clutch the Opossum had a child and it was Surge? Surge does have the green and black color pallette along with the rage of her theorized father. Maybe before the amnesia, Surge had business smarts like Clutch and Breezie did.
This was such an epic and amazing issue! So happy that Surge and Kit are feeling a lot happier and even wanting to be heroes!!⚡️💦

I am kind of nervous (curious) what Clutch is really going to do😨, especially how he reacted that Sonic is on his tail and the phantom rider. Whatever it is, Sonic and crew better watch out.

Say what you want about Mimic/Duo. You have to give him credit. He does his job well. That man working overtime. If I was him I’ll be telling Crutch that he better give my ass a fat check when this is over. My man is an elite level Gaslighter, manipulator, and instigator. Reminds of the main bad guy in Captain America: Civil War. Things are getting crazy! Also Tangle and Jet are some real ones no lie. They understand our boi Sonic.

To be honest, I hope they don't turn Surge and Kit into heroes yet, she's the only rival, other than scourge, that has challenged sonic's morals, she's genuinely a cool villain and I don't want her to be watered down to be one of sonic's friends😭

Its not that I hate Lanolin I just don't like her being partnered with Tangle and Whisper. She's ruining their dynamic and I dont like it. She should not be associated with them at all. I hate that the writers made this background side character suddenly become their leader. That was bad decision in my opinion and they don't need someone like her.
