Heroes of Might and Magic IV is a turn-based strategy game developed by Gus Smedstad through New World Computing and published by the 3DO Company for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers in 2002. A Macintosh port was subsequently developed by Contraband Entertainment and released by the 3DO Company. The fourth installment of the popular Heroes of Might and Magic franchise, it is the sequel to Heroes of Might and Magic III, and was the last to be developed by New World Computing.
I luv that the imp drains the phoenix's mana, so it can't rebirth. :D
When hippies and goth kids get into a fight
I didn't expect such one sided steamroll.
Nature also has portal. Of course if you don't use it, Nature loses to other factions.
that's because death magic is useless garbage(except for the mass cancel bullshit which is stupidly op) and nature is extremely strong, especially when there are multiple mages that have it.
@@bluecoil8356 Mass Curse, Mass sorrow, Vampiric touch, Death Hand and so on and so forth are incredibly strong spells.
@@TabalugaDragon so on and so forth, yeah, you listed all the useful ones. They even had to add ghosts' aging as a separate spell to death magic in equilibrium to buff it somehow
@@11XxXxHeadshoTxXxX11 Animate dead is an incredibly powerful spell(and its level 4 counterpart), as unlike illusions, raised dead keep their active abilities, so in some cases it's incredibly overpowered. Raise Ghosts and vampires are also pretty good.
Sacrifice gives *twice* the HP compared to sacrificed stack, for example reviving vampires for sacrificed skeletons would be incredibly useful.
Fatigue is nearly as good as slow, can be incredibly beneficial on the battlefield. Life drain is very useful vs Life and Nature factions. Mire is probably the best adventure map spell, useful for catching the enemy or running away from them. Unholy song is a super powerful spell against Life.
Weakness and especially mass weakness, combined with Mass Curse weaken the enemy army dramatically. Magic leech is powerful against enemy mages in long battles. Plague, combined with poison can be devastating for an enemy army in long battles.
Is that enough benefits for you? Death magic is incredibly strong, IMO more useful than Nature magic on average, as some creatures summoned by Nature magic are very weak.
love this series
I have found that Tigers > Elves in pretty much any scenario. Have not watched past this part yet, we'll see if I'm right.
That said AI vs AI is not really the best way to judge balance, since AI just brawls, doesn't use any tactics and so forth.
Tigers > Elves because Devils and Bone dragons exist
elves can sometimes be better vs melees, because quicksand debuffs armor, but in these fights, elves are obviously a joke, when the entire atmy is either flying or hypertanky
Can you please make a video on how the Hexis citadel looks like on he inside?
Did you place the creatures before the battle by your wish? Or somehow randomly?
0:24 Hopefully these Skeletons were way smarter during their lifetime 🩻🧠
8:22 Is it grossly inappropriate to call this the rape of Sprite by Undead army? 🧚♀😱
Need to consider creature portal, but then there will be too many variants
Wow. Not a single win against faction that should be based on army raising than hiring. Thats quite boosted, arent it? 😅

not even close
Lol why nature sucks?
Perhaps because Basic Noobility didn't consider Creature Portal. Normally Nature would have one more powerful unit by their side (f.ex. water elementals).
@@stanisawregucki3303 or Mantises, who, unlike Water Elementals, don't slow the army down
@@stanisawregucki3303 maybe he should also consider that the death town will be playing with the hero with necromancy and add say 100 skellies and 10 vampires for good measure?
@@HEADSHOTxPYC yeah good point, but in general death is just broken in homm4. Once you have a necromancer that can generate vamps, its pretty much game over for anyone.
@@SquarishLink like any necromancer, you have to kill him before his raise is army’s…
