Hello Cassandra, this afternoon I made you Carrot Cake Jam and this Ginger Lemon balm recipe !! and I will share them with my Bestie. Love your Channel
I love lemon balm and use it often, it's one of my favorites when having a stressful day. I'm happy just to cut a few sprigs and smell. Didn't know about the long life bit, I think I'll pass. I'm currently taking care of my 94 yr old mom who has dementia, none of her friends are alive, none of her siblings. Longevity, sometimes isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Hello Virginia, yes, I too enjoy lemon balm just to sniff and definitely for fresh tea. I’ve tried dehydrating it but it isn’t the same. I can appreciate your comment about not equating longevity with happiness, because of what you highlighted. Praying for your strength as you care for your mother because that’s also a lot on you (but also reveals your kind spirit).
...aaaand another of your ideas inspire me. Despite being ant based in our household, there are many of your recipes and suggestions that we are enjoying!
So going to try this! Thank you! So what area are you and your husband thinking of for a homestead? My husband is from DC. He had a few requirements but after retirement from the Navy he would like us to move and live in a few acres... We have a different number on acres😂 but I'm just grateful for the idea of any homestead.
I love the idea of storing the extras in the freezer Ziploc bags. It looks so delicious. I think I’m going to head into the kitchen now and treat myself to a cup of hot tea. Thanks for sharing!
I just found your channel and right on time. I just harvested and dried my lemon balm and was wondering how I can use it. I was getting tired of just brewing and drinking. Thanks for that recipe. It would make a great Christmas gift!
Hi Cassandra! I am new to your channel and loving it! Thanks for all the great content! Even though I am on a rural homestead and have been canning and preserving for years, I am also balancing working a job in town with homesteading and appreciate your videos and tips.
Just found your channel, absolutely love what your doing and will try this Ginger Lemon Balm Syrup. This past winter i made my own Elderberry syrup and i will say it kept my household well.
Great video! I definitely have lemon balm on the farm! I’ll be making this along with the other tea blends I do! Thank you! I’m glad I came across your channel! I am excited for your transition to homesteading. We have been trying to live as sustainable as possible on our acre! I love life here on our place! I raise chickens for meat and eggs, mealworms, composting worms and rabbits so far lol… I definitely subscribed
You’ll love it! It’s so delicious and calming! I really do enjoy making it in batches and freezing it! I made it this summer and I’m still enjoy my harvests of premade lemon balm syrup! Thanks for watching!
Hi Brenda! Yes you can! I actually do this because lemon balm grows like a weed in my garden and I have to save freezer space for other things. It tastes just as delicious but you’ll have to use more of the dried leaves to get the same potency as fresh. Use your tastebuds as a guide.
Thats fine. It’s really a matter of aesthetic (looks) as things will start to brown a bit as it oxidizes. I’m assuming you’ll strain it once Im you go to enjoy it. The taste is incredible!
Absolutely, 100%--they have a similar acidity rate. The taste will of course, vary but the lemon balm, honey and acid from the lime duo produce a spot on result! Enjoy :)
Lemon Balm is great as a house plant. I cut some up and let is steep in hot glass of water for 15 minutes. Drink just before bedtime.

@@BecomingaFarmGirl thank u so much. Maybe I’ll try to grow some this year
Wonder if an immersion blender would work.?
would it be okay to blend them all too and then sieve it after infusing?
Hello. Where can I find your fire cider recipe?
Am I able to can the infusion instead of freezing it ?
I see you over there being a mixologist lol! TFS
Is it ok that I froze the leftovers that were already mixed with the honey. I also froze just the tea too.
Thats fine. It’s really a matter of aesthetic (looks) as things will start to brown a bit as it oxidizes. I’m assuming you’ll strain it once Im you go to enjoy it. The taste is incredible!
Does using limes work?
Absolutely, 100%--they have a similar acidity rate. The taste will of course, vary but the lemon balm, honey and acid from the lime duo produce a spot on result! Enjoy :)
If taking as a medicine how often per day? One AM shot isn't enough to do it...say ur not doing as tea additive, then what?
