- This is a review of my recently bought a Bosch Universal Chain 35 chainsaw. The saw has a 35cm chain and 1800W motor that has really impressed me compared to the previous Bosch 1200W chainsaw that I've used in the past. The chainsaw has a speed of 12 m/s and chain tension adjustment without tools.
In particular the chain stops immediately you remove your finger from the switch which is a great safety feature.
The Bosch Universal Chain 40 is the same design but with a 40cm chain instead of 35cm
Do you have a Bosch chainsaw? How do you find it?

Bosch = Quality. I got the same one after my Makita throw the chain off. No harm but no, for me this one chainsaw I can trust. Thanks for sharing

I bought one today because the store where I bought it had it on sale for only 65 Euro. I could use one for some minor garden work, but up until today I always postponed the purchase because I was looking for a good deal. I also have a Bosch jigsaw and I am happy with how that performs, so when I looked at the price of the Bosch chainsaw I decided that I could not let this deal go.
I prefer the corded chainsaw instead of a battery or gasoline powered chainsaw because I live in a densely populated area and I have electrical power all around my small garden. And those batteries for battery operated chainsaws are expensive, and when the company decides to update their battery form factor you can throw away the entire machine if you are no longer able to buy the suitable battery for the machine. And gasoline chainsaws make way too much noise, and they require a lot of maintenance, and I would also need to keep fuel in storage. And I am not using it often enough to do all that, and I also do not need to use it outside my own garden.
So all together I am quite pleased with my purchase because I had no idea if the price was really a good deal until now that I checked the normal price after I bought it. And the quality and power seems to be alright as well.

@@insAneTunA it's been great. Only thing to watch is that the area behind the chain can get clogged with dust

How do you know how tight the chain needs to be?

What's the oil I need you showed?
Bought this but it didn’t come with a power adapter. Can’t use today, need to buy an extension.
That sounds like a mistake with the packaging, it should have an adapter in there (at least it did for me in the UK)
@@ajvw probably. It was discount at my local (Netherlands) garden centre. Maybe that’s why it was on discount 😅

@@ajvw my bad, more a statement. It was because on my computer or sounded loud... Even if it's relatively quiet compared to other chainsaws. I was trying to make a joke about how loud it was
