- Elgato released Stream Deck XL which has 32 customizable keys. It is usually used by Gamers/Streamers, but I use this thing with Final Cut Pro. Here is an unboxing, quick look and my thoughts on it.

I appreciate that you are showing your deck to us.
we also use streamdecks in professional AV tech. controlling video switchers or media servers. the new XL is really helpful here too! nice video as always!
This device is much much more than just a gizmo for streamers, it has amazing versatility. It is really in its function just a macro key pad -- there are many of them. The novelty (and its most usefulness) lies in the LCD lit buttons and the incredibly great software.

I ordered the XL and arrived next day - loving it - so much better than the original stream deck which has the unstable base! I now have a key set for each of my fav RUclips channels!

I do think this would be great to use with my HomeKit stuff. Very tempting and not badly priced... "cue Deck jokes" got me. I don't understand how you don't have 1mil followers w/ this content! :)
I have the stream deck got it on Black Friday love this version makes more sense for what I do. Always upgrading ..

I just bought the XL to replace my 15 key deck which is coming in 2 days, I didn't know you could plug them in and it'll ask if you want to copy them, which is awesome, will save me a lot of time :-)

Do you use Final Cut for RUclips videos ? Isn’t that a bit excessive ? Are you shooting drama too ? Nice gadget though, did you mention the cost ? I didn’t hear it .
Barco E2 and S3 with Eventmaster can use Streamdeck
This idea could be a perfect ipad app working with mac os.. It would be much cheaper and an additional way to utilize the ipad. Carrying along the ipad instead of a keypad also makes more sense (and most of us are carrying our ipads along in our laptop bags already) .. I don’t know, is there such an app already?

Could you please review or test TouchPortal. It's a cheap one payment app that does everything (or close to everything) that Stream Deck does. It has a free version and you can use it in any device. You will find it very usefull
Please explain us how you make that beautifull transition with the zoom pull!
its not done with just zoom, might be related with lens and focus. I think he already did some video about it (or explanation about in some camera product or lens video)

There was a Keyboard named Optimus Maximus that had a LED on each button, but that keyboard cost $1700-2000.
Why can't elgato make a full size keyboard with these buttons. :D
Or something similar to the Razer Tartarus V2 with customizable LED keys. This way, when I bind a keyboard key to it I know which one I bound.
I wasted money on that POS cr@p that never ever worked. Now I want an El Gato XL!

I purchased the 15 button version last week and I'm already wishing I purchased the XL. The usefulness of this gadget can not be fully described and I DO NOT STREAM anything. I'm using this for RUclips, Excel, Pages, iMovie, my website, email accounts, and model railroading programs. I only wish I got this thing sooner.

It looks cool but looks kind of gimmicky. I wish it was wireless.. And do I really need another device on my desk.. Being a graphic artist my desk is already messy I think I’ll pass on this one. Cool video though! 👍

Hmmmm. I’ve not heard of Stream Deck until now. I checked out the website and then watched this video...but I’m still not sure what it is. It appears it’s nothing more than hockeys where you select the button on the Stream Deck and that app opens on your computer. Kinda like clicking the icon on the dock? If so, not sure it’s very useful. Maybe I’m completely missing something.

Please beware. For some reasons display on this Stream Deck XL has really low contrast and bad colors (especially shades of red and orage, actually there is no red or orange on this Stream Deck XL) compared to older Stream Deck. I had to return it and ask for my money back, because not going to pay more for worse quality.
To best honest, it is cool, but a keyboard extension for that amount of money? nope
