Hey folks! A lot of interest in this case and one that many of you reached out to me to cover. Thank you to all that did, this just about covers everything we know so far! As always, I'll post updates here to this pinned comment in the future. You can expect it in my seasonal case update videos too! Much love, Adrian (and Nero) ☕🐾
Keep up the great work Adrian!

Thanks for the info on this case...Humans it seems have gotten to a place where $$ rules and morals and scruples have been tossed....Thanks for the upload❤️❣️💯👍✌️
Adrian can I have your e-mail please? For a recommendation story
I can’t believe the family thought they’d get away with this considering how famous she was and how wealthy her father was 😂
Honestly, did they really think they could get away with abducting and murdering one of the most famous people in one of the densest cities on earth 😭like no way
Seems they were almost as evil as they were stupid, and they were very evil.
Parasites to the core...
Right? So useless and evil. Just pathetic and just absolute evil idiots.
The dad was a cop. He probably did think he could get away with it, hence turning the place into a butcher’s workshop. ACAB holds true yet again.

It is wild, she basically supported three generations of her ex family and they decided to do this to her. I feel for the family and friends left behind who truly loved her. Her children especially.
She was too good, sadly people like this are the once who seem to always be used, abused and murdered.
It is insane how they manage to get in debt when they were basically living free in at 8million apartment, all they gotta do was make enough money for food and the worst part is that they resent her after everything she did for them
@@jey7230
And they did make money... they just wasted it. That brother-in-law was working for her, and with how rich she was, it's not like he was paid poorly. But instead of spending his money smartly - or even normally - he threw it away to buy all kinds of stuff and "appear" rich on social network... It's pathetic.
They probably hated her for being rich and managing her affairs well, while all they did was try to get easy money by scamming and stealing.
Meh she was born into a cushy life with good looks and never really had to work for it. Easy come easy go I guess.
@@janegoodall1837 no one chooses the circumstances in which they’re born, being born w money doesn’t mean she didn’t work hard to make even more or used whatever she was blessed with to help other ppl… Pretty ignorant to make assumptions about someone based on the social class they didn’t choose but were born into
It's crazy how she was literally in the process of buying them a new apartment shortly before she was murdered. So sad. What a good human.
Abby is 'too generous for her own good'. The new husband is the true hero here for adopting all the children. Please God bless this man 🙏.
Abby belongs to the modern generation, and had a modern lifestyle, social media and such. The old traditional chinese families in the Chinatowns I've been to, do not show they are rich - it was their wisdom. The owner of a simple noodle shop may be a millionnaire with investments in the US or elsewhere. But that said, RIP Abby, her ex husband and his family are monsters, not humans
@@landang7906 What is your point? That she isn't actually rich if she doesn't hide her wealth?
@@dky4 i think they were trying to say that its safer to hide your wealth, it can help you avoid jealous and greedy people
@@landang7906 Members of the "old generation" didn't seem to have any problem with freeloading off a member of the "modern generation" though, did they.
I'd be embarrassed if my ex is still financially supporting me. But sad for her ex family, it still wasn't enough.
I can't fathom being entitled to my ex wife's money to the point of ending a life. Just absolutely crazy
And my entire family backing it up. That’s INSANE
That's the power of greed 😢
They probably convinced themselves it was theirs because she put it in his name.
Men feeling entitled to something a woman has? No way!
When I was in school. In my native country we have folk stories where you meet a hidden person(huldufólk), and they take into the night sometimes. You won't ever return. I always thought that folk stories were inspired by a true story that happened.
This is why you should always have boundaries with people. Abby was too kind and those selfish people took advantage of her. 😢
I dont think so. There are people are very evil
Koreans are willing to let entire department stores collapse and kill hundreds of people just to save a few bucks, this is entirely normal there, and one can only wonder what Abby signed off on to make that money.
That means nothing. If someone wants you dead and they don't care about their own wellbeing, it'll happen, regardless if you were nice to them or not.
Whether you are kind or not, this doesn’t change evil in people’s hearts.
She was so young 🥲 I relate to being naive and too kind
I feel bad for her kids. I can’t imagine my mother being murdered in such a heinous way and having to live with that for the rest of my life.
the fact that their Mom's name and case is all over the internet and this is waht theyll see
The kids definitely tragic victims. Supposedly this case isn't as simple as it looks though. the obvious motive was suppose to be a misdirection of sorts.
@@blueblue6532 ? Please explain
And by their own dad, uncle and grandparents too..horrific..
plot twist: after 20 years passed by.. revange been plan
I feel awful for all her children, but especially awful for her and Alex's children. Can't begin to imagine their feelings and utter confusion when they had to see or hear the news that their own uncle, grandparents and father murdered their mother
That's what I say as well. They never factored how this would affect the children. Taking their mother and in such a heinous way, will damage them, but I pray they will get the help now as they will need it. Prayers for Abbie, her family and children.🙏🏻🦋
Don't worry. Her family is likely well connected to the CCP, so despite the trauma, they will grow up wanting for nothing...at the expense of brainwashing, unfortunately.
Not to mention those kids are probably going to be stigmatized by society for being related to them.
@@MsAnimefan95 it's true, and that's so messed up
@@o_o4221 Alex IS the exhusband.. the second husband is named Chris
I think this case is particularly painful because Abby was so sweet and gentle natured. Regardless of the Kwong family's terrible life choices, she stayed classy and provided them with much more than they were entitled to. Most people would have kicked them to the curb, but not her. This world is full of demons, and the Kwongs robbed us of an angel.
They had her children tho. I wonder why she didn't have her children with her. Did they manipulate the system for the ex to have the kids live with them? Surely, her wealthy father could have had influence for her to keep her children with her.
People don't get abused because they are kind but because their abusers are evil... This is so sad. Can't imagine the pain of her loved ones 😞

The current late husband must have been inspired by Abby so much that he adopted all 4 children in memory and love that she gave him. That's respectable, and hope they have a good future ahead of them despite the tragedy.

You have to be very careful when it comes to helping people. People mistakingly believe that the beneficiaries will be thankful and appreciative. However, this is not often the case in real life. They become envious and resentful, and covet what you have. This can develop into a dangerous wrath. R.I.P.
Fully agree.
But tbh currently our generations has problems in identifying the correct people we often recall our Fathers , fore fathers not modern but actually they have skills of identifying who is actually a good person and who is coming for greed and money, someone is loving or obsessive.
I agree
I know a really rich guy who still gives his ex wife 10k a month and let’s her live in one of his houses (despite the kids being in their 20s now) because he doesn’t ever want his children to see their mom homeless. So I understand a little why she might have helped her former in laws. She probably didn’t want her kids going from her rich district to her in law’s poor district. This is very kind of her. But it was never enough for them was it? Truly parasites
Thats what's so heartbreaking 💔 is that she was truly a kind and generous person
So why did she not have those kids living with her instead of the freeloading criminals? Get on the yacht, good bye. With her money they could have moved across the world & lived happily ever after as a blended family.
@@katherinespencer2073 There's no information on their custody agreement but even when you're rich your children still want to see their father and grandparents. And if you had no reason to think your children were in danger then there's no reason to keep the kids from their paternal family. And if they're stay with the dad, you would probably want them nearby yourself, and their school and their friends.
She was still using her ex brother in law as a chauffer, so she clearly had no indication she was in danger
Interesting thoughts. A wealthy man supporting his ex is very different to a woman supporting the ex and his family. His ex wife could be one of the reasons he made his fortune. And 10k a mth may be no skin off of his nose to keep favour with the kids.
@@janechanning984 He has a lot of generational wealth and is a very good farmer. She's a bipolar schizophrenic with a shopping addiction who's never had a job (not even part time when she was young). His kids seem much closer to him than the mom, no doubt because of her mental health issues, but they might also love him extra due to his generosity.
She was so good to her ex in-laws, she didn't have to do anything for them they just took advantage n then altumately took her life. Poor girl.😢

A true definition of ‘No good deed goes unpunished’
One of the main reasons why they murdered her was to get her wealth. She was not legally married to her new husband. They just had a marriage ceremony. So if she died, then her wealth would not go to her husband but to her children, And the former husband, being the father of the kids they had together would get control of the money. Also, another reason why the apartment ownership is important is because if the Kwon family can prove that the apartment was as gift, they can try to sell the apartment to pay off their debt, etc.
This is so stupid even the worst cops could figure out to look were the money would go. The level of stupidity of modern day people as well as the lack of morals and decency is incomprehensible for me.
It’s stupid thinking that the ex-husband and his family could actually get away with murdering her, with her especially being influential. They must be very desperate and rotten at heart. I feel very sad for her, may she rip!
This story is devastating, since you have this nice young lady, who, while born into wealth, wanted to make sure the people around her children's family. (even if she's no longer obliged to them) Were taken into good care.
And then *this* happened to her? The world's a fucking cruel place. Just thinking about it, makes me sick. I hope whoever's responsible for it gets what's coming to them.
I think being born in wealthy family simply made her to trustfull of others and because of that she have been taken advantage off and once she realised it it was too late.
Who knows what they were bribing her with behind closed doors though. They did have her children. Maybe not kindness so much as no choice.

It's always the good ones who are taken away from the world too soon.
So she was so kind, no wonder she married that evil ex husband eventho he comes from poor economic background.
At the end I was zoning out reading comments thinking how awful this is for her children and how hard it would be to raise kids your wife’s murderer made. And then you said he filed to take care of all 4 kids and I was blown away. Chris sounds like such a great husband and I have no doubt he will love all his kids equally and make sure their mother’s memory lives on. Good on him for keeping his kids together after an unimaginable tragedy. It’s not their fault their dad and his family was evil. They shouldn’t have to suffer anymore then they already have.
I'm actually surprise that she has 4 kids with that parasitic family. how disciplined could have her parents raised her to look pretty and gorgeous despite being a mother of 4 kids. she looks more like single without kid than most women I know. XD
The children of the ex are the siblings of his own children.
Such grace under terrible circumstances is rarely seen.
I’m sure that as well as having a heart for his step children, this man didn’t want his own children to suffer the loss of their siblings after the horror of what happened to heir mother❣️
That’s so interesting. It’s not those kids fault. They need love. It’s not logical to disown them or hate them. They are not their father and They lost their mom. the last thing the need is to be disowned by their step dad. That would be evil. I’m grateful he did that. But it’s also just the right thing to do.
I have a mixed feeling for her current husband deciding to take care of Abby's previous kids, who knows if they carried their dad's bad, evil gene, and decided to be the parasite of Chris's family in the future?.. 🤔
@@vicc.1446 Logically I think you are correct, these kind of extreme parasitic behavior bound to have some genetic disposition, however, I would like to believe a loving childhood and environment can help mitigate that enough.

I think this case as received so much attention because unlike so many born to wealth and privilege Abby seemed to be a genuinely good person with a gentle soul and a large heart. For something like this to happen to one such as her is heartbreaking.
"She had financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars (millions of dollars) with her ex-husband and his family, police said earlier, adding that “some people” were unhappy with how Choi handled her finances." According from the news article.
This is why our parents always told us, if you want to get married, know who you were married with and their whole family. 'Parasytes' family like this are always out there, if you not being careful, something like this will happen. For Abby case, I think she is just to kind for her own good. She doesn't deserved this but the killers definitely deserved some harsh punishment.
As always, your thorough research is very much appreciated, as well as your clear and respectful storytelling. Thanks, Adrian!🥰
What a sick and evil family! It's heartbreaking to think what her last hours must have felt. Been betrayed and murdered in the worst way possible by a family she considered hers.

She was so lovely both outside and inside… You could see in those pictures how much she loved being a wife and mom. She was nothing but kind and generous to her ex’s family when she didn’t have to be anything of the sort. And this was what her kindness got her… I hope that parasitic family all get life sentences and rot in hell. I hope Abby rests in peace, I hope her family can find some way to heal and find some solace in this tragedy. And I have to give kudos to her husband for being such a good man. Not every guy would take in kids that weren’t his own, especially if they were also the kids of the person who murdered your wife. To do what he’s doing… He’s a very special guy and it’s easy to see what Abby saw in him. He’s a gentle soul that matched the gentle soul she was. May they be together again one day.
Thanks s lot Adrian for covering this case. People in HK have been shaken in the recent months by this case cos such kind of brutality and horror rarely occurred here in HK during the latest decade. I bought a house with my then fiance, I was smart enough to have it all in my name, when we broke up I allowed him to stay in the house and asked for rent when he could, he was paying 300 on a house that would normally go for 1000 dollar rent. Unfortunately being nice and generous is not enough, in this life you must also be able to detect red flags and not trust anyone completely, even your own family. And Kadoorie Hills is actually a wealthy residential neighborhood within Hong Kong and not a separate city/town/village from Hong Kong. This would be important to note for prestige and for law enforcement and for the ever present cameras in Hong Kong since the 1997 transfer to China. This neighborhood would give his murderous family "face" or prestige while the outlying districts closer to the border with Shenzen and mainland China would lack in that prestige. Also note that China still has the death penalty for murder.
Sadly it is now time for the Cannes Film Festival in France and Abby was last in France and Monaco in February just before her murder. She already had several important events to participate in during the Festival and her last postings and interview in OFFICIEL magazine detail how much she was looking forward to coming back to the Riviera. And she and her children were robbed of this future and the Kwongs deserve the most harsh punishment possible.
You would wish they committed the crime in Shenzhen.. they look dimly at murders..
@r s I wish they could get the death penalty.
Sick world… Thanks for putting this video together, Adrian! You worded everything perfectly.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COVERING THIS CASE!!!
Her ex in laws are MONSTERSSSSSSS
You mean worst than monsters
Oh, it’s here! I recommended did the last time.
Thank you, Adrian for covering her. She was horrendously murdered by the family she considered hers. 😭
Thanks for the recommendation!
@@CoffeehouseCrime *Kindly cover a story of a Kenyan boy who was at that time in University in 2021 by the name Lawrence Njoroge. He was inspired by a character in a movie called Killing Eve, then he killed his entire family after watching the movie*

@@CoffeehouseCrime something’s telling me that your staying away from the Kamarie Holland case for some odd reason …
@@SplattGang ? It takes time for the gentleman to make these videos....
I like how you start the video by giving basic information about the cities/countries involved in the case. Makes it much more interesting and enjoyable. Keep up the good work!
I'm glad you made this video, I heard a lot about this case in the media, but never the motive behind it or what kind of person she was. I didn't know Abby so to me she looked like any other celebrity, but it was so heartbreaking to hear how much of a caring person she was and how her good heart led to her death. She paid a huge amount of rent for her ex and his family for 6 years and offered to move them to a cheaper, but still fancy place when they refused to pay rent themselves. There are only few people who would do such a thing for such horrible people so I truly hope she didn't suffer a lot.
People can be so disgusting. You can be the nicest person ever, extending kindness and generosity even to people that you have no obligation to, and yet these people think they can just hurt you because they believe they deserve more.
"disgusting" is far too kind, these people are absolute vile, revolting monsters. they are the worst of humans
Same happened to me, I was USED, used, used
@@caramelbilquees sorry to hear that hope you get blessings
exact same minute as that chapters upload for the same case, thats insane. Thankfully both of you have different styles of videos and i'll be able to appreciate both values you guys put out! I've heard this case a few times and its truly horrifying and it does need to be talked about in the western world, thanks for covering!
Which one to watch first tho?😂
Adrian technically posted first both on Patreon and YT.
I have both Mike and Adrian on Patreon and Adrian posted on Patreon 22hrs ago, Mike posted 17hrs ago, on here Adrian posted 2hrs ago and Mike 1hr ago.
Having said that on Patreon Mike has posted 2 video uploads in 2 days
Useless information I know but there ya go!
@@CourtneyTunbridge79 adrian ending up winning the race I guess haha, I'm considering following them on patreon too but I feel like my youtube fix keeps me entertained enough.
Excellent coverage Adrian!!!
Thank you, Adrian! I admire your passion in making these vids, especially this case. Thank you.
This is still so recent and Im glad you're covering this gruesome story
This story is so sad. It's just amazes me of what heinous crimes people will commit for money
How horrific. She was a beautiful soul. The world is literally insane.. this sad story is reminding me to never give more to people that don’t deserve it or have shown their true colors. Her kindness got her murdered.
Being poor is no excuse for being evil. They hated her deep down for having more and carried deep envy and wickedness in their hearts. I wouldn’t be surprised if the son wormed his way into Abby’s life to try and get rich.
The sad thing is, her generosity was taken advantage of. If her ex-family had been better human beings, then it would not have mattered. Parasites.
@@pinkminipuffshe married for money she wasn’t better

Many thanks Adrian. Your demeanour always captivates me as you are intelligent, well spoken and a gentle soul. Some YTubers voices irritate me but your narration is relaxing even as you recall horrific events.
Adrian, kudos to how well you do your research and storytelling. Absolutely impeccable style.
I'd love for you to cover the Sheena Bora case from India. It's one of the most twisted, vile and complex cases ever. The accused mother while awaiting sentencing has now been let out on bail. Nobody's talking about it anymore either.
Thank you! I've already covered this case! - ruclips.net/video/EiRmaDud_vM/видео.html
@@CoffeehouseCrime wonderful! I'll check it out. Thank you.
The other baffling case is the Nithari case. Nobody knows yet how many children were victims of these criminals.
What a waste of life! Beautiful life! My take is... being too generous will get you killed, much worst dismembered. But good soul will never be forgoten... my heart goes to the kids and the husband. RIP ABBY CHOI!
You noticed how Adrian always has plenty of pics and clips to show during his Videos.. keeps you captivated and interested. Not naming names but, alot of channels just don't have the same effort. I just can't get into watching a person ramble into a camera the whole time. Great job CHC your efforts are appreciated 🤟
I love Adrian's pics too, but, with that being said, Mike keeps us captivated too, with his expressions and added antics. But, thankfully, there is no competition and we have *both* channels to watch. 😉👍🥰 lol
@@hiyapal7719 That's funny how I never mentioned any names. You just assumed who I was talking about.
Lol. Hey, If the shoe fits, right?
@@hornick12ify Ah, come on now, you know that it's real obvious that you were throwing stones at the only other murder/mystery storyteller that was present, lol. 😄 But, it's okay to have a personal opinion. 😉 To each, their own. There are still plenty of us out here that feel that each of them wear their *"shoes"* just fine. 😊 I wish them both luck, and I'm glad that CHC have a loyal viewer, (like you and I, to support it). 🥰 But, I'm also still a loyal fan of TC too.
Very well presented. Thank you for this.
This was superb!!! I came over as LOVE supporting you AND That Chapter!!! Two best channels!!!! Thank you! x x
How could they possibly think they could get away with this. Heartbreaking story 😢
adrian, thank you for covering this case. i’m sure i was just one of many who had emailed to suggest it, but living in hong kong myself and watching the details unfold in the news, i want to say i appreciate this and knew you would cover it properly. thanks again for the video.
I used to live in Taipo for 3 years... for 30 years now in Singapore, this horrific murder has shaken all of Asia. She was a genuine generous princess who mingled with the worse family probably existing in Hong Kong. It has been said that she was a wonderful caring mother and wife. She had no reason to help those monster but she had a big heart and it cost her her life. At least, one can find solace knowing that this family will never walk out of jail, that jail in HK are very low standard and hopefully they'll live to realise that they should have chosen a new flat behind bars. Let's Karma do the rest.
I hope that Abby is resting in peace and her family manages little by little to deal with such precious loss.
Thanks Adrian
VERY WELL PRESENTED. Justice will always prevail.
Kept up with this case, honestly surprised by the sheer audacity and greed to kill such a generous person.
this is really an infuriating case,i mean she went way beyond what she should have as far as helping these deadbeats, unbelievable
Thank you for posting. I saw it here first. I really admire your respect, elegance style and wise showcase on every case you post. ❤
Man, doesn’t get any better than my favourite two RUclipsrs posting the same story at the same time! Love you both, Adrian and Mike!
I feel that this case is a great example as to why it is such a bad idea to give so much to families to the point where they think that they can whatever they want. R.I.P Abby Choi
So very true! People have to learn to work for their own things. Sometimes when you are given too much without receiving the knowledge and experience on how to access it, you become so arrogant and entitled to the point that you think that someone else, including everything that they own, is an extension of you!
Their sense of entitlement is not her fault!
@@SerenityChaos1975 I am not blaming her but we also have to realise that just because we are overly nice or generous to people does not mean that our actions will be reciprocated positively. Sometimes, our behaviors can enable/nurture evil and vileness, especially if the people we are interacting with and helping have wicked hearts. That my friend is the way the world is and that is why wisdom is very important because it can save us from so much trouble. Having discernment is very essential.
The world is wicked and people are willing to take and even destroy all the goodness that we have to offer whenever they get a chance, or whenever they are used to receiving so much from us. When we choose to start creating boundaries, they will feel threatened and there is no way of determining how they will behave/react. This is the world that we live in. I only wish someone had advised her differently, much earlier, and maybe, this could not be her predicament.
P/S:-
Also, it could be that there is more to this story than what we are being shown. It is only a matter of time before we truly find out what is really going on here!
I do hope and pray to God that Abby Choi gets the justice she deserves
Especially exes, these are not your blood , the only blood she has was her kids

SO MANY TAKERS in this world! It's always about greed, money & reputation; people not doing the work taking from those who have, it's despicable! Peace, comfort & healing to her loved ones 🙏🏾❤️
Very intriguing and you said it when you said this case sucks! Those parasites are unbelievable. Feel awful for the families especially the children who lost such a beautiful and caring mother. Thanks Adrian for the coverage of this case.
Great job with this case!!❤❤❤
Thanks for covering story from my city! Such a sad one though! God bless her children.
Just finished the video and now I'm a sobbing mess. This family is disgusting. Shame on them. I hope she rests well.
The way you told this story is probably the best one yet. It's unimaginable that such a cruel fate was dealt to what you've described as the best mom, wife, professional, and friend. Heartbreaking! 💔
Abby may still be alive today if she had just written off the apartment as a business loss, and washed her hands of the parasitic family. With her net worth this may have been a practical solution (in retrospect). She seems like she never had a chance to relax and do anything but be a successful businesswoman. Thanks for posting her tragic story.
"Influencer" and "successful" don't belong in the same sentence 🙄
I love watching your videos. You and that chapter are my two favorite true crime youtubers! Keep it up!
What a wicked family. Thank you for bringing this to the fore. Well narrated as always. Look forward to the updates.
