- We had some rainy days this week so I decided to work on a project in the house. My refrigerator hadn’t been deep cleaned in a year so it was time to give it a good deep clean and organize it so I can see everything better.
Once the rain cleared I wanted to get outside to get some flower seeds sown to start getting ready to plant my yard with lots of beautiful summer flowers 💐

Hi Jodi, I cleaned my best friend's refrigerator last Friday. She has dementia at an early age, and that's one thing she forgets about. She had baking soda poured in it thick. When something smells bad in it, that's what she does. Love her and will do everything I can for her. God bless.

Hi jodi just remove the stems from your hiacinth so the energy gose to bulbs and not make seeds so they come back big next year only remove the one with the flower at the moment when the other leves go yellow then you should remove them

I'm building all new flower beds as my boyfriend didn't have any and well, I've lived here 4 years now and my yard at my place is beautiful, here it's needing a lot of work. So I'm building all new flower beds, cleaning the yard, doing away with junk in the yard like old tires !
He had an old kennel, but it's an eyesore now, so I've talked him into letting my brother come and tare it down, along with an old chicken house thing that needed to much work done to it, and we don't have chickens 😂😂😂😂 so it's an eyesore too !
Some men don't seem to care what their yard looks like, or their house, but sadly his house burnt and he had nothing, so when we moved into our new mobile home, I got to go on the biggest shopping spree ever because I had to buy everything we needed from furniture to a toilet bowl brush and everything in between ! Honestly, I was sick of shopping ! I'm not bragging by any means, but imagine having to shop for everything you need for a house, bedding, curtains, pillows lamps, decor for 2 bedrooms, towels, washclothes, toilet bowl brush, shower curtains, rugs, decor, for two bathrooms, then lamps, window blinds, curtains, throw pillows, throws, vacuum cleaner, shampooer, clock, decor, and then everything you need in the kitchen, then stuff for the laundry room.....I was sick of shopping !
Now I'm going to start changing out light fixtures, door knobs, towels bars, do some painting as we bought this trailer used and I swear it looks like the previous owners had a good fight and at least one wall in every room lost 😂😂😂😂😂 they was a older couple, so who knows.

My son and I, (for the past 3 weeks), are finally cutting down volunteer trees this year in our yard! OMGee!
Some grew as tall as 20-30ft! I kid you not! We live in the city on a typical smaller lot and with cable and electrical wires above close by, it was a little sketchy at times. At one point we rigged a thick orange extension cord around a large tree trunk, and as I held it very taut, to keep it from falling on some electrical wires above, I took my other hand and started a video and it was kind of funny to watch later, of course, because of the commentary 😂
I purchased a small 6” chain saw, per your recommendation and it has been working quite nicely, but I leave that up to my son, because it was too bouncy for me. Yikes!
I also purchased a 3 piece tree and shrub care kit and that has worked great to make shorter work of it all.
It has been pretty satisfying to get all this work done and make the yard look a lot better!
Also, last fall we had to get our sewer pipes replaced, and they dug 8 feet down in the ground in the front of the house and now we are laying seed rolls to grow some grass. Lots of watering three times a day! 😊

My husband redid our grass couple weeks ago so now I am praying for some nice weather so we can enjoy being outside again. My son is getting a new bed so I hope to reorganize his bedroom and then the little one s bedroom so enough to do. But I hope we get some more nice weather so the kids cam be outside again

My old refrigerator looks exactly like yours. When the time came and it died, I bought a fridge with the freezer on the bottom. More shelves are at eye level and easier to see. I love it!

I’m the one who suggest suet with mealworms! LOL 🙋🏼♀️. Hopefully the bluebirds will find it because they love those nasty things! I wish you could see how they flock to my parent’s feeder! They’re in southern Ohio and the bluebirds are all over their yard!

Thankfully there is more Events going on in the Area for People to attend. They have some pretty decent Shows and Stuff to make up for some of it.
That one silly goose was so noisy and almost sounded like a harmonica! I live in Canada so we're pretty used to them and even have to stop to let them mosey across the road sometimes!
Happy Birthday! I love birthdays! I have made a rule for myself to never clean the refrigerator unless my husband is home. I never can get the shelves back correcttly so I always need help! We are Miracle Whip people here. Sometimes I need mayo for certain things. We just got back from Indiana to see our son and I got to plant flowers! I have to wait a couple more weeks in our area to plant but, I got my "fix"! Have a great day!

Shelves in refrigerators are hard to remember how they go, at least for me. I’m always afraid to manhandle plastic too.
Ha! It’s the little things, smart to label the containers first then match the packet. Last year I planted seeds first then had the dangest time trying to remember what I had just put in the dirt. I like tips that prevent me from having to think.🤣 Your flowers look fabulous.🙂 Geese can be very aggressive. Thank you for this video.😘

Good morning, Jodi 👋 fridge clean out is a good idea on a blah outside day.
This week I've been working on my laundry room inaccessible shelf... Scraped off the peeling ceiling paint with my standing dust pan and my $tree Swiffer knock off base... because they could reach the ceiling and climbing on things is no longer easy or possible for me. 😆 Then used that "Swiffer" to dust off that 7' long shelf the wall and ceiling over it. Then I washed down my 2 no-power hand washing "machines". They're both damaged but usable for me. They were ..."grody to the max, baby!"... Then I threw out the things that were damaged by the ceiling leaks before the roof was replaced.
Found the cryo-cooler from when baby girl tore ACL and such. Going to donate that to the free clinic. Found my black plastic for the garden. 😂... So both of those washers ( for when mine breaks down) will be placed in a plastic trash bag & labeled & placed where I can reach it. Found out I'm all out of 🧻.... Found some thin fabric I forgot about. It was for a project for my girls. No need for it now. 😆
Got approval from landlord to start cutting up pieces of the more than 24 year old rugs and removing them. As long as I don't mind whatever is under them. Anything is easier to clean than rugs. Plus won't trap dirt and such as much.
Have also been making "keto spinach wraps"(also gluten free) and filling with various fillings and rolling like egg rolls, wrap in parchment and freeze for ready made meals I can grab & go. So far, I've got in the freezer these varieties..1) herb butter and turkey breast, 2) for breakfast, ground turkey, diced onion & eggs scrambled together, 3) fried beef hot dogs with horseradish and Dijon mustard.
Planning on doing the following:1)fried hamburger with rice, 2) fried hamburger with hash browns 3) beans & salsa, 4) meat sauce. Also made and will be making more "salmon cakes with diced red onion and cornmeal" great with rice OR as a salmon, guac, salmon cakes sandwich ! Yes. I'm weird and I'm good with that.
Hoping this week to also get some fried rice made to go with the stir fry veggies I bought to eat with my canned meat getting ready to be less than flavorful ( past best by date).
Mother's day is Sunday....

Edit... The flowers...future reference...when you show which & how much and where you plant them....save to a file folder for garden plantings and label like this... Front left bed 2024 spring plantings...back by hydrangea 2024 fall... And so on. To make it easier for later. Also could create a folder for appliance how tos.... Fridge drawer, back of fridge l, bathroom/ my/ toilet...and so on. 5 extra minutes during editing will save a lot of time later. OR make a list in a little notebook of which video at which timestamp to find them later.

I have been working on decluttering and reorganizing/rearranging some stuff so I could open up the house a little bit more. Thursday I should hopefully be able to be outside and regularly for at least the next week. I've very excited to be able to be outside again. This last week has been horrible weather with massive wind and cold snap again. I can't wait to get in my garden and get all our veggies all planted out. Getting the house organized and decluttered has been a huge stress reliever and feels great to have done as always. Happy Late Birthday!!!!!!! I'll eat either Mayo or Miracle whip. I've been making my own mayo for a few months now so I don't buy it anymore. It goes bad quickly because it's fresh with no preservatives but it takes like mayo/miracle whip to me. I don't think I know the difference in taste between them actually. I've always eaten both because my dad only eats one and my step mom and me eat both.

I have been mowing every chance I get. Grass is growing like a weed and so thick and lush but it needs constant mowing and it’s been so hard working around the rainy days. I said to my neighbor today that I’m already over it and it’s only May 😩😂

Happy Birthday We are remodeling our half bath/laundry room and added shelving for more storage as like a pantry. Seedlings are sprouting. I was a little behind. Hi Jodie, belated birthday wishes to you. We (actually my husband) have just finished laying flooring down in our utility room. We had discovered their was a slow leak from the washing machine that had been spreading a fine mist from the water pipe soaking the walls and seeping under the lino. Of course it had got damp and mouldy so we had all that to contend with. Water damage is such a pain. We lifted the lifted the old flooring, got it all cleaned up and dried out, and replaced the flooring. I had taken the opportunity to clean out the cupboards and reorganised them , so now I can find what I need. It's nice to everything put away again.
I had to laugh about the drawer. In my head i was saying Jodi you need to slide it from the other side 🤣🤣 and then your husband came to save you 😁😁

Happy Birthday! I’ve been busy doing a dee clean of each room week by week and then getting outside and planting my flower bed. This year I’m going with mostly perennials to help with costs year over year. So far I’ve planted clematis, irises, peonies, lupines, and salvia. Will top that smaller bed with some pink petunias being shipped from Michigan. (Proven winners supertunias vista bubblegum). Pale pink with hints of darker pink veins. They mound in roundish shrub balls instead of getting leggy and growing horizontally like most petunias do. So excited! ❤

Hi Jodi, You're becoming an amazing flower, Gardner. I finally got some flowers & a few herbs & put them into pots. I didn't do seeds. I did it last year & they didn't do very well! So now I got them all planted except the herbs. I'm going to leave them in their pots from the store. If they're looking good, then I'll put them in bigger pots. I don't have an actual garden space! Oh, I'm definitely a Miracle whip girl from childhood! I don't like Best Foods or any other brands. They taste horrible! You are cute with Clarke, the cardinal & those geese they were so cute. They must have been a couple, sticking together like they were! Oh, the frig I have trouble with the bottom drawers, kind of like yours, except the glass comes out too. But getting the whole thing out is horrible, especially trying not to break the glass. I try to take it out before I do anything, but I forget! Ha! It's pretty easy. The top shelf is a little hard, but I get it out! Your flowers that your hubby got for your Birthday & a Happy Birthday to you! The red ones on the right are Geraniums. I love those, too! I put one each in the bigger pots. Then I put snapdragons & petunias around them. Then several small pots & put one each, snapdragons & petunias in. I only had around 8 to 10 pots! I didn't go big & buy a bunch of other flowers. It's just me & hubby & I have to be careful. I don't walk very well! So I keep it all on my porch. Hi jody! I do not like miracle whip! I prefer Dukes but will also eat hellman's. I do use my condiments past their expiration date. I'm so glad you have been seeing Cardinals and your husband got you such lovely gifts for your birthday. I think hostas are awesome and they come in so many varieties and they really do keep giving and giving year after year.

Hi, Jodi! I know the struggle with the fridge is real! Mine gives me a hard time too. Great job! We have had a death in our family. My daughter’s mother-in-law past on Saturday. I'm the world's worst gardener, so I'm living vicariously through you and am glad you can finally post outside again. The tulips were gorgeous and hyacinth is my favorite flower because it smells sooo good! My Mom used to plant snapdragons and geraniums. BTW, it's official Mama, I think Donna is taller than you!

Did my fiance last weekend it was a mess I kept putting it off. I hinted alot but seen that was getting me no where. So I had to start it myself and he finally helped.
Mayo! Grew up on miracle whip but it just tastes like chemicals to me now. In case you want to cut down on some of the expired stuff, you could try using some of the plain yogurt in place of the sour cream for the homemade ranch. And I'm not sure if you have an instant pot or not. But sour cream and yogurt are both super easy to make at home. We like the Friendly Farms greek yogurt from Aldi's as a starter and do a gallon of yogurt at a time, but any active live cultured yogurt works and we just put the store-bought in jars in the freezer to use later. And I use heavy cream with Nancy's sour cream as a starter for that.
Hi Jodi! Don’t you just love cleaning the fridge 🥴 Not much going on here project wise currently because we are sick all 3 of us, son, hubby & I. However we had dumpster delivered today at my parents house ( they passed, dad passed in January and mom in 2020 and we will be cleaning out their house and getting ready to sell, not fun. 💜👍
