Shadow Complex is such a good game. I would say it's underrated but it was actually highly praised when it came out but it seems like it was lost to time as you never see it brought up anymore. I loved it though, fantastic game.
Yeah its a great one. It seems like it was a popular game where the public opinion cooled off a little with time. I always feel like this happens with certain games, but hopefully it isn't forgotten.
A remastered version of this game is available on epic games. They don't show this game much love since it was on my wishlist for a while now and it never get discounted. Epic is killing their old franchises to favor fortnite and it's really sad.
Dude 2009 was my favorite year by far. It was so fun being a young teen during those times. At least we’ll always have these games and other media to take us back.
Man I remember when Xbox was doing these Summer of Arcade promos. It was smart marketing honestly. Since I didn’t have a 360, I had to wait months later to get TMNT Reshelled on my PS3. While I got enjoyment out of it, it wasn’t a good remake of a classic lol. Shadow Complex I got to experience on the PS4 with the remaster, and while it was good, I think it was one of those games that was a product of its time, and in saying that, was very impressive for a downloadable title for that time. Trials is such a fun game too! Great episode man!!
Glad you enjoyed! I could see it being a product of it's time. a good amount of those early arcade titles have that feeling, but it paved the way to some great indies later.
I own a lot of these 360 Xbox Arcade games & enjoy your presentation of these '09 games! I wasn't into the brawlers but I played a metric ton of "Trials HD" & the other ones to follow! My nephew & I sunk hours on end of couch gaming, taking turns seeing how far we could beat the increasingly difficult levels & unique tracks! I just a couple weeks ago bought the updated remastered "Shadow Complex", you should certainly give it a solid review on it's own, perhaps even the remastered one, as you can still find it for sale on newrr consoles.
SPlosion Man is still Backwards Compatible and i think i got it for free on my series s. :) Just wanna mention that. Not every game is sadly backwards compatible :/ At Trials, I can HIGHLY recommend Trials of Blood Dragon which is just AWESOME! This Game is kicking ur Ass especially with the Soundtrack!!
This is the first year I experienced digital games being taken from you, they ripped marvel vs capcom then shortly after that xmen and Simpsons. I actually don’t buy digital games anymore this is part of that reason…. I still have insanely twisted shadow planet and shadow complex
Damn xbox shot themselves in the foot by riding xbox live arcade section. A ninja turtles 3d beat em up game Marvel vs Capcom 2 THE mvc2 Trials I remember all of these back then. Now we just get indy games via game pass some of which are really good but most aren't let's be honest.

Maaan lemme tell ya Street Fighter IV and MvC2 '09 changed my whole life.....the reason why I'm a massive fighting game fan
Both excellent games. I loved SF4 back in the day.
IN-DE-STRUCT-IBLE
I always thought Battlefield 1943 was part of the lineup. I still have fond memories playing in the summer of 2009. Amazing.
I wasn't an official Summer of Arcade release, but it did come out in July of 2009. Fantastic game!
S’plosion man was cool, give Cloning Clyde a try sometime
Cloning Clyde was a fun little game. I actually got the 200 gamescore in that one.

2007-2009 were prime years in gaming. I love returning to that era.
Trials HD was one of my favorite 360 games period, it gave me the same vibe as flatout 2
Trials was my pick from this summer. One of those minute to learn lifetime to master games. I've loved the series ever since.
I've still got Trials Evo Gold installed on my pc, one of those timeless chill games.

Splosion man was great and the sequel Ms. Splosion Man improved on just about everything. Both are some of my favs from the XBLA days.
Clicked the video for MvC2 and TMNT, but wasnt dissapointed, great video!
Thank you I appreciate it!
TMNT reshelled should have been easy money..but it was terrible

That's so funny I remember doing the same thing on Trials with my best friend back in the day!
One of the nice things about MvC2 HD, if you grabbed it when it was available, is having all the characters unlocked
What an amazing time to be gaming back then, a lot of great xbox live arcade games.
They need to make Marvel vs capcom 2 backward compatible...i payed like 1500 Microsoft points.
If you have an Xbox 360 console you can re-download this game through the download history. I was able to get mines in my Xbox 360.
But what about Guardian Heroes and the Virtual On games?

Oh yeah Trials Blood Dragon is soooo much fun!
Speaking of… The Gunstringer *WAS NOT* XBLA, instead it was developed into a full retail game :D
‘Splosion Man!!

Splosion Man, Trials HD and Shadow Complex all great games!
