@@ZhiVago81She was at the worlds but hasn’t been at a competition since then. She got 5th at the worlds In the senior ladies. She is also touring with LOTD (Lord of The Dance). So to answer your question she is back to dance and some competitions.
I don't know if those collisions are common, but they seem inevitable. And I'll bet the bullet dancer was penalized when she hit the other one. All three dancers were fabulous! So the fault must lie either with the organizers (ladies, try not to run into each other; you'll be punished if you do), or the Irish themselves who tacitly see their dancers as gladiators. "If you hit her, Stephanie, but make it look accidental AND unavoidable, we'll give you 10 extra points! And something in your Christmas stocking. But don't tell anyone."
@@ivanoday4635 Hello! Dancers are not penalized any points for collisions even if they are on purpose, the goal of the “game” is to get to the front of the stage and grab the judges attention. So for some dancers that means running into another person to get to the front of the stage and capture the attention of the dancers. I also know that some dance schools do “traffic practice” ( practicing not running into other dancers) to help prepare for these type of situations. Thank you for your concern! Have an amazing day!
@@THEirishdancecentral-uh5jl That is incorrect. If you look at the rules for the competitions at the World Irish Dance Association, it specifically states that dancers are penalized for intentional bumping and can be penalized at the discretion of the judge for unintentional bumping. “3.9 A dancer will be penalised for “barging” / intentional bumping (i.e., awarded 1 point only for that round). In the case of accidental barging (particularly on small stages at local feiseanna), penalties will be at the Adjudicator’s discretion.”
@@sandraellis7449 You are correct when it comes in terms of WIDA this is CLRG and in CLRG dancers are not penalized any points for running into other dancers.
@ They might not be penalized, but they are not encouraged to bump into other dancers or be aggressive considering many higher competitions don’t allow that and that type of behavior can even get you disqualified. Why would you want to train bad habits into your dancers?
Yes that is true. Coaches are also not trying to train these sort of things into dancers it just happens. It is very annoying and upsetting when it happens but most of the time people do it on accident and they are not purposely trying to run into other people.
No way all three of them were on stage at the same time! All of them have world titles
All three of them are so good
THIS IS AMAZING!!
is Julia back to dance and to the competitions?

Did Julia make a false start here?!
I don’t think so, I think she was just anticipating the opening
@THEirishdancecentral-uh5jlSorry, but that IS a false start, Julia moved before both Dara & Laura, she was 2 beats faster
