Qatar Airways: Doha to Bangkok (Economy Class - old Airbus A330-300)

In this flight report it's time to fly from Doha to Bangkok on flight QR834 by Qatar Airways in their economy class. They used their older Airbus A330-300 for this flight and it showed. Old IFE screens but the economy class seats were okay. The crew were a pleasure again. So far I cannot fault them.
One the flight from Amsterdam to Bangkok it was a pleasant flight which lived up to their reputation as a 5 star airline so I had good hopes the feeling I had in general about this airline would continue on this part of the journey.
This trip was a little bit uncomfortable but not through Qatar Airways faut but my own. Since this was a night flight and one of multiple flight going from Doha to Bangkok on a daily basis I thought the flight might have a relatively light load. Due to the 2-4-2 layout I took a gamble and selected the aisle seat on the sight 2-seater row and hoping I would have a free seat next to me. But unfortunately my seat was already there when I got on the plane. I got a bit unlucky there but of course that is not Qatar Airways fault. My seat mate was an okay guy though.
