Thats one strong man. No bs, he may be paralised (i truly believe that if anyone on this earth can overcome that, then Sam can!), but this man has more strength in his pinkie than most people have in their whole body. We are pulling for you dude and i hope and pray one day theres videos and or pictures of you walking down that isle with your daughter. All this man has accomplished and yet his biggest motivation is to walk his daughter down the isle, thats incredible! - that statement alone should mean the world to your family and will show a lot of people what a great father and real man will do for his kid(s). Thank you Sir, you are truly inspiring!!!!!! And all the best.
I think the medical advances of the last year prove that anything is possible if we invest enough time and money into it. I think we all owe it to Sam to keep fight by his side
I hope they do someday find a way to make people who suffer from Spinal paralysis able to walk and healthy, and if they can do that hopefully they can also help people who suffer from debilitating Chronic back pain.
Awesome video of not only my personal hero but a very great friend! This Amazing man helped make everything that I have accomplished in racing and in life possible after meeting him weeks after I became paralyzed and still do! Thanks for everything you do for so many!!!
I had the pleasure of meeting Sam and his family about a year ago. At first I didn’t know who he was but he looked vaguely familiar. Of course I eventually found out. As I told him and his family at the time, I was very impressed by the way his family interacted among themselves. (I happened to be sitting near them on a patio) They were so genuine and sincere and most of all, happy. As I had to tell them at the time, I could feel the love. Judging by my experience with the Schmidt family and seeing how they cared for each other and supported each other I believe he (they) will conquer paralysis. I was inspired by them. Thanks for the wine Sam!
What a awesome car... That shows you if you have enough will and enough people behind you with money and the willingness to help out. There's no end to what can be achieved.
Mr. Shmidt, I just wanted to say it was amazing and truly inspiring to see you at goodwood ripping all 720 horses of that McLaren. You are my hero and your a blessing to those who will use this technology. Keep ripping brother!
My mother was in a wheel chair paralyzed from a car accident. And to watch this brought an honest 😢 to me eye.Not because of the car or the racing but because of what Sam is doing for people in situations like himself and my mother.Sam said in an interview that if this technology could help someone he would give it to them for free.Thats is what I call a heart of gold.Saldy my mother died a few years but I am 100000 % positive this would have changed her entire outlook on life. Not because people lose their mobility they lose their freedom. For people who have to rely on others for everything in their life....this to them would be the very definition of freedom.Your a fine man Mr.Schmidt.Keep up the good work. This is the type of uplifting video the world needs right now. There is hope and then there's people of give it and Sam you are one of those people.

How could he pedal that bike at 4:06 if he's paralyzed?
I don't think he is peddling it it's motorized.
Sam Schmidt can finish what Christopher Reeve started in terms of paralysis research!
So happy for Sam and his family!
Sam, you are the drive of the team, of us fans, of our passion. You still lead the way! Regards from a fan, and fans from Dominican Republic!
