How to disable/enable auto door lock/unlock on Toyota 4Runner (5th gen, may work on others) for Free

I struggled with disabling all the auto lock and unlock on a 2010 5th gen Toyota 4Runner for a while as the instructions weren't very clear. This should work on a number of model years although I don't know what range. Post in the comments your model year and if this worked or didn't.
Basically I found that you have to do each one to unprogram what was already programmed.
So basically if the vehicle is set to lock when going into gear, you have to use the lock button to unprogram this, where it would be more intuitive to use unlock because that is the desired state, but that's not the case.

Could you please redo this video with more specific instructions. For instance, if you want to disable auto unlock in park, press (name what button you are pushing). Also, you talk about 5 seconds, then 20 seconds???? Not clear if you don't do something for 5 or 20 seconds, or if you do something, and in what order.
I follow what you're saying in theory, but it's not entirely clear what to do. Thanks

You must Release the button after 5 seconds. You will then hear the locks which indicate you have changed the setting.
Release the knob…was what I missed.

Incase anyone was wondering, you push this button to disable 4 features but the other button to ebable the other three but not the first one unless you are in park for 5 seconds but 20 seconds in the book then it cycles
