It is the only post on RUclips for this roof molding thanks for taking the time to post it at least it lets me see what I'm in for as far as taking the pieces off and installing the replacements
You are amazing!! Thank you for taking the time to make this video!! Saved my day! I love my little car and was starting to dislike over something I didn’t know I could change myself!! Thank you thank you thank you!!
Your video was just what I needed to give me the confidence to take this job on. Was so tired of hearing the flapping of the pieces. Was so simple I can't believe I hesitated ap much as I did. Thx for the info.
Thank you for sharing this, much appreciated. I dislodged mine as I have a tendency to constantly grab the railing as I get into the car. Now I know how to put them back into place. Thanks again. Tom - Brisbane, Australia.
Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to do this!!! I really appreciate it. This was so healpful 🙂 I hope you have a good day, a good day like when you find a $20 bill in your laundry or something.
Omg...mine would blow around so i just pulled all the plastic off. Now it looks like crap. I was able to find some good one at pick a part then i had then wrapped gloss black. Thanks.. Thanks!
Excelente vídeo. Había buscado antes alguna instrucción para cambiar estas piezas de Caliber. Haz hecho un buen trabajo y será de mucha ayuda para otras personas. Bendiciones! En dónde compraste las partes?
How does this vinyl wrapping process work? I'm just found molding for both sides of my Son's 2007 dodge caliber and would like to do that to preserve them?
hey thanks so much for this! got an 09 se but this will do.... I was searching for video assistance on installing new weather stripping on mine....trying to avoid buying a total new one or searching the tow yards but I see yours came with that damn stripping attached!!! ugh..... wonder if I could how much it would cost me? any other tips I'd love for mine... everything is going down buts it's all I've got! thanks for the post!!!
Not 100% true. The tabs face different directions inside. So they don't easily slide out. No tabs at all broke from popping them off. They broke when I tried to pry them off with screwdriver.
Awesome video and just what I've been searching for!! I'm in the process of trying to "restore" a 2007 Dodge Caliber that belonged to my Son while in College. He abandoned it a few years ago after he got another car! LOL! I'll be going out to try to "harvest" the roof molding for both sides today although I've seen a few cars on the yard where it had already been stripped. I would like to know if the rear spoiler plastic molding that I have on my 2007 Dodge Caliber SE can be replaced and if so how do you do it? My spoiler is cracked and crumbling on both ends and that along with the torn stripping is causing water to leak into the door in the rear!!
Thanks for video! Question- you said you bought your replacement on ebay. We have a 2007 dodge caliber- when finding the parts do I need to know what cylinder etc it is?

@@icemanthrilla I was wondering the same thing? Could you cut the "rubbery" part of as one part looks like rubber and the other plastic? Just being as cheap as possible. LOL
@@thomasadolpho8486 you could just cut off those pieces but it's going to look like crap and depending on how much you cut off could leave a gap between the rail and the body.
I honestly didn’t think I would find a video like this on RUclips but I’m glad I did. Awesome video! Exactly what I needed to see 😁

Los compre en ebay. Son partes usados.

You just take the trim off clean it with alcohol and wrap it and slap it back on the car
Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing…
Thanks man! This was a huge help.
You’re welcome!
*Thank you so much for this video, man!*

The timing couldn't be better for this video ... I am having the same issue With my 2011 caliber...its the only thing deteriorating on my exterior

Wow thanks
I need this upper roof trim for my dodge caliber 2007
Thank you for this
You're welcome! Hope it helps.
The piece by the windshield, those clips would be easier to remove with a needle nose plier then put on like you did with the rear then reinstalled
Well i dont suggests pulling up there is a good chance you will break the clips. They silde right off left to right.
Not 100% true. The tabs face different directions inside. So they don't easily slide out. No tabs at all broke from popping them off. They broke when I tried to pry them off with screwdriver.
Icemanthrilla sorry but 100% true ive replace mine as well they go right to left.

So you have to replace the whole trim assembly. You can't just replace the seals that dry rotted?
Those are all one piece. It's honestly pretty easy.
Thanks for video! Question- you said you bought your replacement on ebay. We have a 2007 dodge caliber- when finding the parts do I need to know what cylinder etc it is?
No they're the same parts for all the models. I had the srt4 model and all model roof fit.
@@icemanthrilla great thanks!
i own a srt4 and i’m wanting to replace them, now does the r/t and sxt caliber roof trim fit the srt calibers ?

I'm an optimistic person so maybe there are some out there but it's gonna be tough. I found mine on ebay used, but good condition. Good luck in your search.
Can you please comment on what that part is called so I can order it Please and thank you
I just searched dodge caliber roof moldings. Not sure what the official name is.
Anyone know where to get replacement clips if you break any brittle ones?
Maybe try ebay? I found my plastics from there. Hopefully they have them. Maybe a dealership as last resort?
Nice rims !! Is that srt or sxt ?
SRT
Where can I buy these replacements?
@jojopellagrino7060 i found a used set on ebay. That's probably your best bet or a junk yard.
Where did you find the replacements??
Used set off ebay
Any idea where i could buy those white plastic clips? I may have snapped some. (2:29 min)
I don't. Try ebay or a local junk yard.
Where did you order the moldings from? Can't find them anywhere

What are they called?
@@kimberlyaltema2786 I just referred to them as roof moldings but not exactly sure of the full part name.

How much you paid for these on ebay?
It was like 90 bucks i think
Where did you buy them?
Used off ebay
They are very hard to find
@chortysk8 that sucks. At the time I made the video there were a few. I imagine it has gotten a lot harder to get some. Maybe junk yard?
In need of this replacement.. can someone give me a link where I can get. I read someone put rockauto but I cant seem to find the part
I found some good used rails on eBay.

Rock Auto has them not cheap tho

why not just replace the rubber weather strip on the part itself? makes no sense to replace the entire trim piece
The whole thing is one part. You can’t just replace that strip. It’s all together. Not sure if you’re looking at something else.
Wouldn't it be easier to just replace the seals?
What seals?
@@icemanthrilla The rubber pieces that are peeling off.
@@Ragarianok not sure if I'm understanding. The part we are removing is one big piece. The parts that are pealing off are part of the big moldings.
