    New Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AEBT00075
    The tensioner is a springed device that keeps the serpentine belt in your vehicle at the correct tension to keep it on the pulleys, without being so tight that it breaks. Eventually the tensioner may become worn, loose, or stuck, resulting in belts that squeak, slip, or fall off. This video shows you how to install a new TRQ tensioner pulley in your 2007-12 Dodge Caliber.

    At the 3:00 mark, you say to remove the bolt on the tensioner to remove it, another way to do it is take the bolt out of the coolant res and move it out of the way and the tensioner will come out as 1 piece that way and you can put the new one in the same way.

    I have air tools but no compressor atm but I can simply unbolt the tensioner pulley while it’s still bolted on the engine correct? I’ll just have the new pulley removed beforehand. Great video btw. Very helpful. I just bought a used 2010 Journey from a friend and I going through everything…

    Can I just remove the pulley without straping it out the way or is it not possible

      That's what I was thinking also.

      Remove the pulley first that way you just have access to the bolt. I'm going to try it here shortly and I'll comment back to let you know.

      @@Dave1979z did you try it? I just replaced my pulley because the belt is coming coming off a 1/4 inch. So I think I need to replace the whole thing.

      Yes you can.. i just done it today, just make sure you use an open end wrench to loosen the pulley bolt.

    What if pin is stuck an wont come out

    • @tt7hvn
      @tt7hvn Год назад

      Exactly the problem I'm running into. It's in there so tight, I can't rotate the tensioner to relieve pressure off the pin.
