Tarp Camping with a Tenere 700

In this weeks upload, I'm throwing some overnight gear on the back of the Tenere and heading for the hills.
A semi-wild camp awaits and will see me try tarp-camping for the first time with the bike - how will I get on?
I also took advantage of the clear sky's and ran a night-lapse in the upper reaches of Swaledale.

Another great video, not sure about that tarp, I don't camp these days but I used to like protection on all sides from the elements and that's what a good tent provides, I wouldn't want to wake up in the middle of the night to find the wind direction had changed and there was rain being blown straight in at me.

I'm the same when it comes to all round protection. That's why I chose that weather window to test the tarp. My tents 'bomb proof' as it were, but that wasn't the objective on this trip.

Yeah, it was cold outside during the night but I was warm as toast in my sleep set up

I would have put the tarp on the left side of the bike, and also use a kickstand puck of some sort to keep the kickstand from sinking in soft soil. If you kept the tarp tied on the right side, and flipped the tarp to the left side, you could have also kept the dew from getting the bike damp.

Great video again, but you make me nervous when you commentate with your hand off the handlebars! It only take one animal to run/ fly out in front of you and your screwed! 😉🤞

Thanks Rick. To be fair, it's only ever one hand and no real difference from raising or lowering your visor, pointing at something etc - I appreciate your comments and concerns though, I'm generally very aware when I'm riding.

Thanks buddy. Yes, the camp site is Hoggaryhs Farm, just upstream of Keld. If you look on Google maps, you'll definitely find it.
