Ah man. I couldn't find that key card on the floor and failed Objective 5 right as I got to the exit. 0.1 seconds faster and I would've won. Finally, 2 hours later I won with no damage, at 11:59PM, just in time for New Years 2016.
F S Chicago, Area 51 - Infiltration and Carrington Institute were my 3 hardest on Perfect Agent during my attempt to beat the difficulty “casually”. Can you even call a Perfect Agent playthrough casual?
He was lucky enough to get good RnG from a guard dropping a grenade - that crate it a ball ache to lug up there, latching onto it by double tapping B only works when the game feels like it on the original N64.
I always thought the starting with a silencer but then ending with a scope was goofy. With the little time she'd have to take the silencer off to add the scope, you are shooting up enemies as there wouldn't be much time to do that. And in all honestly, the scope was really needed in area 51, not the escape mission. You honestly don't use the pistol for too long in escape when you can turn your dragon gun into a grenade launcher. Meanwhile, in the perfect dark game it was always a pet peeve for me when the gun couldn't be added together for a silencer and scope. At least in the beginning of this mission (rescue), a silencer and scope would have helped especially for far away guards in the hangers. Another bummer is this is the only mission (rescue) besides the previous mission (area 51) where you can get hand grenades. At least in 007 goldeneye, most missions you could get a hand grenade if you were lucky. It's nice having one of those grenades when you have a lot of guards running towards you. Another goofy thing is Jonathan suggests to Dark to sneak around without blasting everything. But then he gives her an explosive crate. Also as the guards are shooting you, they can't hear their buddies dying? There is no alarm system to alert other guards? I thought area 51 is top security when it's run by the government? I know the game was good for its time, but with multiple entry points, maybe there could have been a couple different paths you could take to get to the 'rescue or escape' mission.
Jonathan: "Try to be sneaky, don't go blasting your way through" The game: *places guards where you will be seen no matter how you try.* So anyway I started blasting.
Liam Peterson you need to knock out the guard with the key card in the level prior. But you need to lure him away from the bike because when you destroy it, it will kill him if he's close to it
Teh Fluffy I figured it out, thanks. I actually got to it when I was like 7 because I did a nothing but pistol whip challenge, I just never knew the exact way to do it 😂
I find my self another way, the guard on the bottom corridor just after the first lift, if you disarm him (some times) he opens the door, and you get on the path (the previous level, when you take the lift before meeting with Jonathan, but this elevator now goes up, and guides you to the Phoenix, the room where you can see the main door, on the helipad where you suppose to take out the guard...
The disguise part was driving me crazy. Turns out my inventory was full and after throwing down the dragon rifle it appeared. In hindsight I should've selected it from the pause menu like GE but I didn't think of that.
Jonathan: "Don't blast everything in sight, even if it is against your nature." Joanna: "You REALLY don't understand who's playing this game, do you?" 😂😂😂 And she accuses HIM of working sloppy!
@@Geryboy666 on the previous level, you have to knock out the mechanic next to the hover robot. Make sure he doesn't die from an explosion or be anything. Then after you finish the level, he'll appear there.
@@Graslu00 the previous level has no influence on the current when when you load it directly, I just tried and I really have to x ray the alien first and do objective 1 and then the guard is always there. thanks for the answer tough.
"You need a bomb to open a hole on the wall" "Where are the bomb?" "In that crate" WTF Why not a grenade? Or a mine? But a fucking crate that could explode with enemy shootings
I'm aware this is an old comment. You don't have to use the crate to blow open the wall; when you pick up a Dragon assault rifle, you can use its secondary mode to toss it near the spot in the wall you need to destroy. From there, shoot the Dragon (that should be on the ground), and it'll explode and take the wall with it.
I never finished this because the objectives are so vague. "Conspiracy evidence"? What evidence. All this time you needed the damn X-ray vision to look through a damn tube that looks like just a random piece of machinary.

does anybody know about the guy you can see behind the door up stairs that you may be able to see through the door on the second floor from where you start off on this mission. it only happened to me once that i was able to see him through the door using the ex ray vision.
You have to make sure you don't kill the technician in the previous level, the one next to the robot you must destroy. You have to knock them out far away from the explosion.
The fact that you had to attach explosives to the console in the previous mission bugs me so much. I just wasted so much time trying to figure out objective 1 because you have to use a weapon to blow the console up this time. This game may have my favorite game soundtrack, but it's so unintuitive that it hurts. Thanks for the guide
The guard at 2:15 dropped a grenade, but that's random. You can simply use the Dragon with the second fire function to blow up the wall. Throw it then shoot at it.

You also have to complete the first objective to make them appear. This is the original N64 version, just being played on PC at higher frame rate and with kb & mouse. Why's the Xbox version lame anyways? :p
Graslu00 Yeah sorry. I was just stressed. I figured it out on a old IGN forum. I had to shoot 1 simple computer to trigger the 4th objective. Perfect agent is fucking tough but way more exciting then new games today. I'm using a mouse so my arm gets tired and movement is very 'restrictive'. :)

For a guide I'd recommend my UltraHDMI playthrough here - ruclips.net/video/AHBdJEsm10U/видео.html - It plays a bit slower and you may find it easier to follow. Good luck! Keep in mind that I can get the Phoenix on that video I linked because I didn't kill the engineer next to the combat robot on the previous level.
@@Graslu00 yes I know about the phoenix. I know what you mean. You try the door it says this door is locked then it opens. I then use the phoenix the whole time after that maybe that's where I am going wrong. Tbh I played this game on xbla but now on an actual n64 I don't know if it's my imagination but I feel the game on the n64 is actually a bit harder.. As i have beat this level on xbla on hardest setting. But cheers will check out link.
This the lame Xbox version... I'm playing the actual real N64 one and I completed objective 2 and 3 when I get the coat but I'm ripping my hair out. When I get to the autopsy room there's no one there to open the door for me then I fail.
Graslu00 I don't like the Xbox version because the retexturing and all the changes... It's just not 'authentic' and takes away that cold 90s killer feel to it. Basically a fanboy
Victor Powers lol, yeah I understand that, it kinda changes the atmosphere of the game but I loved it anyways.
Would be cool if they included an option to play with the classic graphics like they did with the Halo games.
wow,a girl playing perfect dark? :)
I wanna see you fighting Dark-sims you are good at this game
Got you covered!
