I don’t know how to tell you this, but you should look up and learn about the people actually behind these stories. They don’t have a massive hate boner for Spider-Man, and they’re not a magical boogeyman known as ‘the writers’. If anything, the people who steer good writers into a bad direction, or dictate what stores are or aren’t allowed to be told are the people on charge at the top of Marvel itself. I’m not saying the current mainline Spider-Man book is good or even passable, but there are different people working behind the book and it being the way it is isn’t their decision. Also, Chip Zdarsky (the writer of this Daredevil book) has written Spider-Man very well in two very well made side series, which are where the real stories are told anyways. Read Peter Parker: Spectacular Spider Man and Spider-Man life story
It's because the writers of Spiderman comics need to push the boundaries and keep things fresh. They've got to introduce new obstacles for him to overcome and push the envelope each time to get different reactions. When he's a side character he doesn't need a story to revolve around him, so he can sorta just be himself.
Spider-Man may get crapped on by the papers and lots of people in his world hate him but I love how he’s so highly respected amongst the superhero community. He’s a superhero’s superhero. When one of them is in need, they know he can be counted on
SM is one of those heroes who seems to almost never get "too big for his britches" as it were. Many other heroes escalate their threats and enemies to almost hilarious levels to the point where they are regularly contending with beings they have no business contending with in terms of the power scaling difference. Spider-Man is almost the opposite; he's hanging around a relatively low-power area fighting villains who shouldn't really be able to keep up with him, but he's constantly hamstringing and handicapping himself to avoid seriously hurting them, meaning they get infinite chances to try again.
@@perrycarters3113 Yea just like Superman. Even though Superman is sometimes in space fighting bad guys he mostly is on Metropolis saving the city. And just like Peter, Clark holds back massively even against Super Villians. These type of heroes should be more out there in superhero media.

Spiderman isn't the most powerful marvel hero by any stretch, but he's far higher up there than most people give him credit for. He may not be able to arm wrestle Thor or Captain Marvel but he's still stronger than almost all but the top tier brick characters and being hyper intelligent, quick witted, and having danger sense + absurd reflexes and agility lets him punch well above his already considerable weight class. He could kick the shit out of probably a good 80% of the non-diety level Marvel characters just physically speaking, and most of the rest he could outsmart and outplay.
First time he met Thor they got into a fight Spidey was actually winning for a bit cuz Thor couldn’t lay a hand on him without just dropping so much lightning Spidey couldn’t dodge.
Realistically speaking how long could a mere mortal lead this kind of life for, 10 maybe 20 years if pushing it, I can only imagine how hard it would be for Matt, he can still be a lawyer and help people to the best of his capacities, but he'd would hear someone crying for help and him answering it no more.
If I remember right, they analyzed Batman and all his major injuries (such as having his back broken by Bane) and it was like 5-8 years, TOPS, I think. Although I think that was starting at 18? Since he had to train so much from ~8 when his parents died and “mastered every martial art” and detective skills and even learned from a magician and taught himself how to have an eidetic memory, iirc. So they were kinda generous and were just like, “this is impossible but let’s say it took him 10 years to train so he can start in peak condition.” But yeah, anyway, I don’t think it’s even your lower estimate. Now, if we somehow just MAGIC the skills, ALL the skills Batman learned, AND PEAK PHYSICAL condition even possibly attainable assuming PERFECT genetics… we could maybe start him at like 14, and even then he wouldn’t get 15 years to operate at that level, because that’s just how much damage he’s taken. I think you could probably push it to ~12 years, tops. And that’s if you start even more impossibly young. And Bruce (and Matt Murdock) are supposed to just be guys. Like, presumably an average guy with roughly average genetics… so in theory, they wouldn’t even get that. Again, while using magic to give them perfect skills and physiques for their genes early. You’d literally have to enhance their genes as well, since they’re supposed to represent average dudes at peak, not peak genetics at peak. So like, maybe 10 years is still too generous for them WITH a MAGIC HANDICAP.

@@Destiny87Well obviously Matt goes back to being Daredevil but it’s done well. Matt and Spidey hug it out later and spend basically a whole night being bros. Spidey himself says he was being really hard on him because of something similar that happened to him(During Spider-Man vs Wolverine)
Can you imagine how distorted Matt's face has to be if he wqs real person. Owen Wilson and Jake Johnson broke their noses one time, now their noses are the most noticeable feature. I mean seriously, Matt should look like the Spider-Man "Kaine". Droopy eye and permanent disfigured lips. But Kaine was a faulty clone.
This was really well voice acted! I like that you didn't add a bunch of narrative padding and just let the scene speak for itself, made it much more powerful. Totally subscribed!
This was an intervention between friends. He knows how important secret identities are and he now knows where Daredevil lives... add in that Daredevil unmasked himself and gave Spidey his mask. Conversations can come later. He wanted to give Matt time to think on his words and reflect on where he wants his life to go without the Devil. That's what friends do, they give space when needed and are right there when you need them.
Hero's feel at ease with spider man even though a lot of hero's are younger and older than spider man, old enough to be his parents, and young enough to be his siblings. Spider-Man’s initial strength was 10 tons, but in the years since his creation, Spider-Man has performed feats of strength that significantly exceeded that limit. He’s held up the Daily Bugle, a corner of Penn Station and even caught a falling elevator by the cables. His clone, Kaine can lift up to 40 tons and, while he was still significantly stronger than Otto’s “Superior Spider-Man”, Octavius was still able to push Peter’s body to the point where he stay competitive. He’s proven to be physically stronger than Miles*, who’s also listed as being able to lift 10 tons and at one point lifted upwards of 15 tons on a regular basis. All this hints at unrealized potential, limited by his immense restraint while fighting villains - even villains as strong as Scorpion and Green Goblin. Like Superman, he psychologically limits himself and doesn’t know how strong he can be when he cuts loose simply because it’s so rare of an occurrence that he hasn’t had time to figure it out. *Physically stronger doesn’t mean more powerful. Miles has powers he doesn’t and, while his spider sense is less developed, that could be simply a gap in his experience.
10 tons when calm. It can go beyond that when he gets an adrenaline surge, as demonstrated when he easily lifted objects that were in excess of 15 tons or even 40 tons.
The difference in quality between this video and all that shitty ai voiceover content mill slop is measured in lightyears, seriously. I can tell this was read by someone who understands the work, and who understands speech and dialogue. nicely done.
Never really read comics but i love these videos “Wolverine humbles venom” and other videos that I don’t remember the name of lol. But yo keep it up and don’t fuck up your voice, your narration is the cherry on top. Edit: I’ve read a few of the “hype” marvel comics (DP kills the marvel universe, DP vs carnage…yea that’s all I’ve read lmao but never ventured farther than that.
This is incredible. I love how you differentiated their voices. (Your Daredevil sounds very Steve Blum to me. Which is fun because its always been one of the voices I've had in rotation as like, a good fit for comic Matt. (aside from Charlie, of course.))
the fact that daredevil is totally fine with crippling criminals by beating them with sticks, but goes into a full on depression when he kills someone... i cant help but find it amusing
This is something that's bothered me for a long time. A police officer is given not just the authority to act in the service of society, but the training and equipment as well. This, IMHO, is the main argument against playing vigilante in real life. A vigilante won't have the authority, the training, or the equipment to do what a police officer does. Thus, a vigilante would only get in a police officer's way. So why do superheroes get away with being vigilantes? With the first and greatest of them all, it's because he has to. Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and nothing less than an artillery shell can so much as bruise his skin -- Superman is so powerful that he HAS to act. If any police officer gets hurt or killed on the job, it becomes Superman's fault -- because he could have done the job so much better. But going down the superhero power scale, this becomes less justifiable. Spider-Man is powerful, but nothing like as powerful as Superman. Does making it up to Uncle Ben really oblige him to bounce around New York looking for trouble? And then there are guys like Daredevil, who have no power to speak of. DD is like Batman Lite -- and Batman, by my reckoning, gets a superhero pass only because he has the training and the support he needs to become a one-man CSI/SWAT system for Gotham City. Daredevil has none of that. So why does Daredevil insist on playing superhero?
Daredevil does have a similar degree of training to Batman, often being something of a one man army himself and does have super powers. He is as much of a superhero as the others. If this were the real world, then maybe I'd see the point in your argument against vigilantism. But these are comics. They don't just create superheroes, they create situations for them. The cops could never take down the Hand or the Green Goblin. Vigilantism like that from Spider-Man and Daredevil is completely justified in fiction because as long as a superhero exists, there is a situation in which they're needed.
really good voice acting in this scene. It was wonderfully dramatized. My only complaint is the last scene. I just can't see Spiderman plodding out of the apartment with such loud footsteps that the foley artists gave him. Daredevil even commented on how "impossibly quiet" Spiderman was earlier. I know it was probably done for dramatic effect, but it just didn't fit the scene.
Sometimes I wonder if I made a snarky remark like "I could voice-act like that too, if I felt like it," might lead to a snarky response of "Oh yeah, well let's see you try it!" and then that somehow leads to a career in acting.
What i dont understand is Spider-Man goes as far as to threaten to come back if daredevil continues, all because he killed one person. Yet the punisher he just does nothing? Kinda hypocritical (Amazing voice acting btw, had to subscirbe after watching this)
I'm confused, the way DD said *"the best of us"* and Spidey's *"spread the word"* , implied that they're both from a larger organization, or atleast, a voluntary community. It can't be the Avengers, cuz strong or not, both Spidey and DD are still street level heroes. It also can't be Midtown Gang, since Spidey looks so mature. Is there any vigilante faction in Marvel that also included both DD and Spidey in it?
Hello, I wanted to ask if it would be okay to take the audio and turn it into an animation? I love the emotions and voices and would love to bring it into motion.
This dub as great, please do the follow up to this scene in a later issue where Matt tells Peter off. As much as I love this confrontation, there's a lot of context and nuance behind it that the comments don't seem to get. This is a daredevil book and spidey ended up coming off as kind of a tool because he had some moral high horse when he arguably did something worse, then broke into matt's home, and threatened him. Spider-Man is not the hero here. Daredevil was wrong but Spidey was being an asshole. Also, future advice, include the original comic source. I encourage everyone to read this run of Daredevil it's by Chip Zdarsly it started in 2019 and is a modern classic.
Actually Spidey doesn't say that, it's a narration line from the Priest who was talking to Matt in the previous scene. As stated at the beginning of this scene, Peter doesn't know Daredevil's identity, so he wouldn't call him Matt (:
You know that was an asshole thing for me to say man, and I genuinely apologize. No disrespect was intended at all. Now age may not have bearing on voice, but hardship does. Spidey has been doing what he does since he was fifteen. The stress and tragedy and tiredness would definitely have his voice deeper. Like Keaton's CEO Of Alchemax in Edge of Time. That's a personal preference of mine because for so long Spidey has been reduced to being a young teenager instead of allowing to grow as a man.

I'm assuming this gets reversed/forgotten about in a few issues. Shame.
@@Destiny87Well obviously Matt goes back to being Daredevil but it’s done well. Matt and Spidey hug it out later and spend basically a whole night being bros. Spidey himself says he was being really hard on him because of something similar that happened to him(During Spider-Man vs Wolverine)
@@ajtallent4501This is why American comics suck. No stakes, no consequences. It's all pointless nonsense.
Zdarsky’s writing of Spider-Man is incredible
I agree!
He is respectful
Spider-Man: The Best of All of Us, is the basic view everyone in the MARVEL landscaper should have of him
The best of us
The voices fit so perfectly
Amazing job you've done here, friend!
Im subbing
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Amazing work. I wish you dubbed the "God loves you, Matthew" part.
Thank you!! Maybe I'll do thr full issue some day (:
@@HenrySchultzVA that would be epic.
I've never thought about that haha
Spider-man killed someone? I KNEW HE WAS A MENACE! -J.J.J. possibly
This was really well voice acted! I like that you didn't add a bunch of narrative padding and just let the scene speak for itself, made it much more powerful. Totally subscribed!
Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it!!
I’m surprised spider man didn’t try counseling him
Matt is a catholic, there is no counseling him.
Amazing job as always!
Thank you man!!
@@HenrySchultzVA No problem! ;)
Hero's feel at ease with spider man even though a lot of hero's are younger and older than spider man, old enough to be his parents, and young enough to be his siblings. They some how know that spider man keeps it real because he has been through a lot and they know it. Moments like this spider man delivers tough love because older or younger hero's might need to hear it
@@ellesandralady8596 Spider man is a very experienced hero, his counsel and advice is top tier. He may joke and be goofy but when it comes down to business…. Peter gets shit done
Wow I felt that, great voice the daredevil gave me chills and I love that you used the theme for the show in the background too very nice 👍
Thank you! (:
These are great stuff. Really brings out the writing by the creators. Marvel may be watching you...

They arent Marvel is too cheap. They barely pay their artist on time. This guy does have talent though.
@@MrPlazmaWalker thanks!
Peter is damn harsh when circumstances call for it. If it had been Cap or any other Boy Scout, he would have given an hour-long moral lecture. But the spider acted like a real hero who understands the situation in which Matt found himself and the consequences. You're done. No more words are needed.
Daredevil senses are way better than Spider-Man's spider senses, but Daredevil knew he couldn't defeat Spider-Man
In a Sense of knowing exactly where things are, but the spider sense is absolute above in term of sensitivity and reach, even If he doesn't have pin point or imagery of whats happening If something big enough happens he can Feel it from other dimensions to the far side of the universe, like when Thanos was doing his shenanigans for the First time

For being an actual dub, you get yourself a sub good sir. Nice acting
Thank you! I can't believe how much AI generated crap is out there at the moment 😅
This daredevil run was fantastic

It's a great dub, and I loved the input of the Daredevil music theme!

The difference in quality between this video and all that shitty ai voiceover content mill slop is measured in lightyears, seriously. I can tell this was read by someone who understands the work, and who understands speech and dialogue. nicely done.
I appreciate that, thank you!!
Thanks! Glad you like 'em!
Also these voicd acting performances wre stellar. Hope you guys get to do this in spme official media

Daredevil knows Peter Parker is Spiderman. That's my only critique.
Not anymore, due to the events of One More Day.
This is incredible. I love how you differentiated their voices. (Your Daredevil sounds very Steve Blum to me. Which is fun because its always been one of the voices I've had in rotation as like, a good fit for comic Matt. (aside from Charlie, of course.))
Thank you!! I appreciate the comparison, Steve is a legend! (:
Tbf fist fighting cops is cool and morally ight even if not the smartest move

Why does daredevil own a lamp?
For guests? 😅
For when you visit
Thanks! Yeah that's fair, I need to find some different footstep sound effects haha
Sometimes I wonder if I made a snarky remark like "I could voice-act like that too, if I felt like it," might lead to a snarky response of "Oh yeah, well let's see you try it!" and then that somehow leads to a career in acting.
Oh yeah, well let's see you try it!
OK well....where's phase 3?
@@adamb89 Now we just have to wait and see if you become a famous actor or not (:
@@HenrySchultzVA I may have peed a little. Is that the first step?
@@adamb89 Maybe? I'm not sure I don't have any firsthand experience hahaha
What i dont understand is Spider-Man goes as far as to threaten to come back if daredevil continues, all because he killed one person. Yet the punisher he just does nothing? Kinda hypocritical
(Amazing voice acting btw, had to subscirbe after watching this)
Thanks! Yeah I think the writer actually wants the readers to side with Matt in this case

The fackt spiderman diddent toss this killer to the cops ! Well he is a shitty hero then !
Kinda late for the party, but this was so good!

So spiderman is marvel mix of nightwing and superman?(I didnt mean powers but head and hearth)
I think it's called The Defenders (:

Daredevil #5!
@@HenrySchultzVAYou should write the volume/year because obviously there's a good number of "Daredevil #5"'s out there

Daredevil #5 from 2019!

I always enjoy it when heroes live and die by their secret identities.
The mcu fumbled big time with that concept.
Very true!
In the comics, isn’t Pete like 15 years younger than Matt?
I think he's 15 years younger than most people. He got his powers in high school, then depending on which story arc you follow, he ends up an adult.
Closer to 5, he's the same age as Jessica Jones
What did daredevil do?
Pretty sure he accidentally killed someone
Yup!
Good point! I see what you mean and I'll definitely include the source in the future (: Thank you!
The last panel has been CUT out, and its a good one. Spider-man stops, looks over his shoulder and says "god loves you, Matt"
Actually Spidey doesn't say that, it's a narration line from the Priest who was talking to Matt in the previous scene. As stated at the beginning of this scene, Peter doesn't know Daredevil's identity, so he wouldn't call him Matt (:
I do wish Spidey had a deeper voice here. He's a grown man pushing thirty with a hard life, not a teenager.
Well I would have had a hard time keeping him and Daredevil distinct then, but fair enough 🤪
I don't know I'm 36 and my normal voice is kind of high like that I think.
@@kamikeserpentail3778 Yeah, I feel like age doesn't necessarily have much to do with how low or high someone's voice is (:
You know that was an asshole thing for me to say man, and I genuinely apologize. No disrespect was intended at all.
Now age may not have bearing on voice, but hardship does. Spidey has been doing what he does since he was fifteen. The stress and tragedy and tiredness would definitely have his voice deeper. Like Keaton's CEO Of Alchemax in Edge of Time. That's a personal preference of mine because for so long Spidey has been reduced to being a young teenager instead of allowing to grow as a man.
@@MrOnepiece14 Don't worry about it! I always welcome criticism! At the end of the day this is just a silly RUclips video and it's okay if you don't like everything about it (:
When you take superheroes seriously they seem particularly stupid.
I didn't like this run and Spidey's role in it in particular. He comes off as sanctimonious and judgemental.
