The fact in some canons Sabertooth just for fun finds Logan to beat his ass every year on his birthday, so him inviting Spiderman for the night makes sense now
Had the exact same feelin' when I was watchin' Deadpool and Wolverine. Sure, he's just 1/5, but there is no way that's the same Zeb Wells that gave us PAUL
Wolverine respects Spider-Man because he's a good person. He's genuinely a good man, trying to be better, Logan wallows in his anger, being the badman.
I don't think he wallows in his anger... He broods for sure, but he does try (and sometimes succeed) at not being a complete kill-joy. And he's not a bad man. He's a good man who sometimes has to do "bad" things... (i.e., kill people) . He doesn't enjoy it, though. That's the primary difference between him and a lot of other killers out there who are actually bad guys...
Plus Logan has always felt he old it to Peter’s parents who saved him from VonStrucker and Hydra back in the day. Logan was at the hospital when Peter was born.
Logan is also one of the few people that can identify Peter regardless of Dr. Strange's memory wipe. He always could. So, it's a lot of respect and a lot of time knowing each other's secrets.
My favorite part of this comic is spiderman heading back to the bar to help them clean and stuff. It's such a small thing but it's the little things, that proves both Logan right and what makes Spidey such a unique and loveable character
I like this tipe of narrative of small story's of everyday live of avengers. That is such a good way to reveal marvel super (and not super) heroes. We all intuitively know what would they do on epic cataclysm or apocalypse, but How they would like celebrate their birthday, or deal with neighbors.... in a hands of talented writer... ou boy.. a best way to engage readers. Thanks for populating this. Great work!
I remember someone saying they’re “controversial” Marvel opinion as that people probably shouldn’t treat live action films as the “final frontier” status for marvel stories. Both because it just undersells what the medium of comics on its own has to offer and the outright advantages it has over film and the amount of talent it takes pull off. But also just ignores the palpability and proven potential that TV and ESPECIALLY the medium of animation in both film AND tv have to offer. Treating live action movies as the highest honor and Definitive way comic stories could ever aspire kinda downplays the reasons as to what made people see these stories as adaptation-worthy to begin with. And Yknow what? They’re fully right. This isn’t me just plainly saying that one radically different medium is better than the other. That’s like comparing apples to oranges. The amount of work that it takes to pull off not just what the MCU does but just what live action films do in themselves is insane. Its crazy to discredit that. But there is a truth that people have certain “expectations” when they think of comic book movies. They some expect gritty realism and larger than life, galaxy wide, fate of the universe scenarios. And yeah, thats an aspect of what comics (specifically superhero ones) are and can be. But i feel like stories like these and how beautifully artists writers can take full advantage of the medium, color, compositions and panel layouts etc to tell some truly short and sweet but genuinely enriching tales. And this is JUST superhero comics specifically. Not even touching on webcomics, or simply comics like Bone or Fairlyand. Ntm stuff like manga and the absolute titans that have become one piece, naruto and dragonball. Like, the sooner you realize this too (that is, if you haven’t already) the more truly frustrating and infuriating at is that this absolute disrespect of a medium has gone so far where people genuinely think live action films are always the OBJECTIVE way to go. Like people put their lives and souls into telling these tales, there’s something small and personal about that that gets lost when you widen the scope for too long. We might NEVER get stories quite like these in the mcu. The main thing people always wanna see is just the big stuff, the big moments, the big characters. People always desperately wanna see spiderman be broke and depressed and doped out on a symbiote, but never just go to a bar with his friend… When you remember how much really goes into these stories. It just takes you back to those days where teachers; even a lot of the good ones, wouldn’t classify comic books or “””graphic novels”””” as actual literature riddled with inherent value. Overblowing the value of stuff like mockingbird or Fahrenheit.(genuinely very impactful books mind you) It makes you look at the MCU and see that that mindset that your teachers had, never really left. When you remember that the artist who drew one of those impactful manga/comics of all time; Beserk, literally DIED for this medium and put his whole life into it, just LAST YEAR. Idk, it just makes you feel all the madder for it. This a long read/rant on a great video with little views and under 50 comments. I doubt most will read this, and i don’t blame them for skipping over it or skimming for me committing the crime of caring in over 6 words or less. But this is genuinely something i’ve been thinking about more and more lately. Idk, it leaves me both optimistic for the mediums future, (cause of how far we’ve come with stuff like spiderverse, invincible and artists from all mediums whether it be CG, Animation, comics etc just getting more rights and freedom to pop off and be celebrated and treated well. but still genuinely kinda sad at how far we still have to go, like why did it have to be this way at all to begin with yknow?
Potentially Unpopular opinion: That's kinda why I like Spider-Man: Homecoming. Unlike most of the other Marvel Movies, it didn't feel like some ultimate challenge that, if Spider-Man failed, the world would be destroyed. It was simply about Spider-Man proving himself, as well as wanting to prevent the Vulture from making life harder for the little guys. Sure the movie has its own problems, but still. I think more self-contained, smaller stories that don't affect the larger MCU like this are great. Ant Man ALMOST had this, but with revealing that Darren Cross's buyers for the Wasp suit were Hydra, it felt like a way to artificially inflate the stakes. Sure, it was a very real danger that could have affected the greater MCU, but it still felt unnecessary. Now there's nothing wrong with tying your stories together, but there's nothing wrong with having something on a smaller, less epic and grand scale.
@@theradionicrevival8068 Man, can i relate to this comment. It's really sad how underaprecciated the comic book medium still is after all these years of cape blockbusters. This might be kinda late, but this comment made me feel seen, friend. Thank you for typing it.

MJ has two children (because there was a time skip) with some guy named Paul. Oh and not really zebs fault but Ben Reilly is now a villain.
These are the great stories that the MCU is missing out on. Marvel comics isn't just about fighting big threats like Thanos. It also about street level life and crimes. This would've made a great episode of a Marvel's Knights series on Netflix and not a censored Disney+

How does a buddy comedy make you sad? That was funnier than shit. Guy shoots him in the back of the head, then after Spidey talks him down from murdering the fat ass, he's like "Ok, sorry. Got carried away." If most people could walk away from a buckshot to the skull, they would fucking rip that guy's head off and chop his body into fat guy McNuggets, and hope his brain stayed alive long enough to see the last moments of what used to be his life all piled up on the floor like a yummy treat for the hell hounds he's about to go hang out with for eternity. I don't even care what they were talking about. Just seeing Spidey and Logan hanging out, chillin' in a bar is well enough for me. Even though I found this short story so beautiful too anyway.
I especially like the nod toward Spidey's low-body temperature and his spider hibernation problems, like his curling up to the shot glass like it'll help 🤣
Its really touching and heartwarming to see Logan apreciating that Peter is the only ones that still sees the good and humanity within him, regardless of if its really there or not. Logan, really needs someone like that. He cant ever become a good person if noone, not even himself, is capable of seeing the good and humanity in him.
Logans big bro/dad energy is my favorite part of him. The rage and claws and healing are cool, But his ability to see younger people struggling and immediately taking them under his wing. Protecting them, advising them, and being there when they need him. Thats why he's a hero, even with the body count he has. Hes a good man.
I like to think sabertooth didn't mess with logan because Spider-Man was there. Because I think Spidey knew Sabertooth had a healing factor so he wouldn't hold back.

but... same thing also applies to medication.... which actually really sucks, because being in pain sucks enough without having your medication fade out when you really need to rest and just NOT hurt for a little while.
The fact in some canons Sabertooth just for fun finds Logan to beat his ass every year on his birthday, so him inviting Spiderman for the night makes sense now
Apparently Sabertooth was dead or banished to hell, something along those lines, around this time
@@fegreninja7197damn not again
The biggest jumpscare was seeing Zeb Wells' name at the end. No way he wrote this and also wrote the current ongoing.
That’s really the worst part eesh. I wonder how much of editorial is affecting the current run vs Wells actual writing.
Most of it is probably Marvel Editorial.
Spideys face reactions are always spot on.
Deadass man 😂
7:56 actually gave me chills bruh. Amazing delivery on that line
You're not a clown,
Do you see me smiling!
Spidey's mood changed so fast
People always desperately wanna see spiderman be broke and depressed and doped out on a symbiote, but never just go to a bar with his friend…
When you remember how much really goes into these stories. It just takes you back to those days where teachers; even a lot of the good ones, wouldn’t classify comic books or “””graphic novels”””” as actual literature riddled with inherent value.
Overblowing the value of stuff like mockingbird or Fahrenheit.(genuinely very impactful books mind you)
It makes you look at the MCU and see that that mindset that your teachers had, never really left.
That's what Spider-Man is.
He is the definitive "HUMAN" of the Superhero community.
The MCU does it here and there
Potentially Unpopular opinion:
That's kinda why I like Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The final touch of the piano "happy birthday" song is what makes this for me
This was incredible. Believe me when I say I will make this a short live-action film in the future. Of course, everything will be credited, but man. The love I have for film AND comics, this is a perfect example of how Peter and Jame’s relationship is portrayed in many issues. I thank god I came across this!
I was about to type something like this lol
Definitely something I'd like to make in live action
Well?

Always loved Wolverine and Spidey interactions, they always had each other’s best interests in mind and never faltered when it came to doubting one another. Get yourself a friend like them.
Man zeb wells is such a good writer. Can’t wait to see what he brings in his run of the amazing spider-ma- oh. Damn it.
What happened?
@@observerf-03p.d39 the book sucks.
@@criticalthought1112 Why does it suck? I'm no comic reader.
@@observerf-03p.d39 they separated Peter and MJ again, Peter works under Norman Osborn despite everything he’s done, but they just wave it off with him having all of his sins and evil removed with a magic shot gun. He’s back with black cat again despite her having grown as a character and realizing that she has to move on but still be friends. MJ has two children (because there was a time skip) with some guy named Paul. Oh and not really zebs fault but Ben Reilly is now a villain.
@@criticalthought1112 What the fuck
These are the great stories that the MCU is missing out on. Marvel comics isn't just about fighting big threats like Thanos. It also about street level life and crimes. This would've made a great episode of a Marvel's Knights series on Netflix and not a censored Disney+
I don't think I'm alone when I say I believe wolverine is generally a good guy. It's nice to see someone actually say that and hold him to it, especially since it's the goodest guy Spidey
He is, he just doesn't see it because of his self loathing and depression.
Logan is full of self loathing and anger for both things he did to others and things done to him.
That's why Logan respects him. He's one of the few people who still believes he can be better even if Logan himself doesn't believe he can.
Wow...this brought a whole new respect to their friendship. Made me happy Logan wanted to hang with Peter, but sad because people think he's just some killing machine with no feelings and he does have them.
Respect 🤙🏿
I love Spidey comes back to clean up. He's honestly a good guy. Not many characters you can say this about them
more spidey and wolverine comics please, this was wholesome
Logan as the Drunk Uncle is somehow more acceptable than Iron Dad.
Spideys interactions with other heroes is its own thing. That’s why I miss Marvel Team Up. Other heroes treat him differently. He measures up differently. It’s an intangible that always seems to pop up.
I can honestly say this is the best motion comic I have ever seen, the time effort and energy you put into this is apparent and the voice acting and sound design is amazing. I rlly hope you make more spidey motion comics in the future. Voice acting was spot on btw
quality content! there's another channel i think a russian dude, he does motion comics for some of my favourites(hulk, thor)
didn't have one with spidey or logan before, mmmmmmm tashty ^_^
There a Deadpool motion comic that’s pretty good
How did you do this man I’m going to subscribe Thank you 🙏
How did Zeb Wells make this great Spider-Man comic about Peter and Logan’s friendship and then chooses to purposely fumble the bag when he gets a Spider-Man run
Editorial probably.
One of the things that people don't appreciate about a good motion comic is rhythm and the cadence of the dialogue here is absolutely on point.
He needed a reminder that people still see him as a good guy and that he couild stop from going over the edge that's actually heart warming!
Logan and Peter always my fav combo just like uncle and nephew learning new things about and with each other.
Remember reading this comic as a kid. Always made me feel really cosy and warm, yet quite sad by the end. A very bittersweet comic indeed. Love it.
Not gonna lie. I love the characters. I know this about their dynamic and I understand. But this still made me sad.
But Wolverine's just like, whatever, I ain't gonna die. And he also got his birthday wish, so it's a happy ending on top of it.
@@CodeguruX sad bc what it means for wolverine. The story great. No one gets permanently hurt, no stakes. But damn. To live as long as wolverine, but the one person you can call to celebrate your bday is a dude you get irritated with af. He can't get his closest teammates to hang out with him either bc he knows they'd ruin it, or stop him entirely. Birthdays are sacred. The two thi gs this man has is this and the inevitable losing fight with Sabertooth (Every year they fight. Every year Victor wins)
It's just the implication, really. The knowledge that THIS is as close as this man can get to loved ones all around, happy birthday, no stress or bs today.
This is worth it for a fan film. Especially because it can be made with minimal budget.
We need this to be a series. Spanning a multitude of properties, publishing companies, heroes/anti-heroes. I’d love to see some of these done with the Preacher series
Spidey and logans relationship is so amusing and wholesome 😁
This is a sweet story. Logan respects Peter because he's one of the few people who believes he can be a better man even if he himself thinks otherwise.
This is why I love Spidey. He has a good heart.
This is so much Wholesome. I regret why I haven't read comics. I am missing out too much. Imagine this is the opening sequence of Sony Insomniac's Wolverine!
I don't even care what they were talking about. Just seeing Spidey and Logan hanging out, chillin' in a bar is well enough for me. Even though I found this short story so beautiful too anyway.
I'm gonna love Insomniac's Wolverine so hyped. Spider-Man 2 better also be good
So diverse the characters are. Even contradictory to each other. Yet Both bring meaningful insights complimenting each other.
You really deserve more recognition for your work, this is amazing! Looking forward to seeing more of your content
These two were already my favorite marvel heroes, so I'm always hyped when I see them together, their interactions are gold
I really like these short one-shots comics which are not cosmic or world-ending crises. Super heroes being relatable!
This is one of my favorite interactions between spidey and Wolverine. I remember reading it many times.
Turns out Wells CAN write, he's just making bad ASM on purpose or something
I’m guessing editorial
I like to think sabertooth didn't mess with logan because Spider-Man was there. Because I think Spidey knew Sabertooth had a healing factor so he wouldn't hold back.
Still can't belive Wells made this story...
Random thug: You're not a clown.
Spidey: Do you see me smiling?
Synopsis: man coaxes teenager into alley, and then social coerces Red masked youth into getting drunk with him and talks about his relationship with other men 3:53 and how he should just GO for it 7:38
He's like 30
Spider-Man is 35 in this comic. The main 616 Peter hasn’t been a teenager since the 60’s
marvel with trillions of dollars and all the "top" directors and animators could never put out anything like this beauty out nowadays. I enjoyed every second
But Marvel did put this out

What i like about this video is how it's almost 95% originality, the rest being the comic themselves. You added voices, sound effects, Heck, YOU ADDED THE MUSIC BAR AND KNEW WHEN TO INCLUDE IT!
Usually Sabretooth shows up on Wolverine's birthday to beat him up one of the few times he didn't show up.
One of my favorite Spider-Man comics written by Zeb Wells.
Not saying much
@@spoodurmin9742 This is a great comic. His Punisher issue from BND is a great comic. His old school Frog-Man and J. Jonah Jameson issues were beloved until the internet decided to hate him. SHED is a great and iconic story arc. Arguably one of the best Lizard stories. His Avenging Spider-Man issues are fantastic. Beyond had some stellar issues too. And the first arc of his run is arguably the best Tombstone story in comics. I think that’s pretty impressive all things considered. But since he’s the new guy writing ASM I guess we have to forget all that and hate him now because Mr. RUclips said so.
This was fantastic. So perfect. A neat, comnplete little story with a lot of heart.I never thought I'd tear up over a Spidey and Wolvie team-up. Just expected glib oneliners.
Wolvie was lonely and wanted to be with his little buddy Spidey for his birthday.
This was so very enjoyable. Thank you.
The fact that spiderman is a late bloomer fills my heart with determination
THAT WAS ACTUALLY A REALLY GOOD STORY! I liked it. It held my attention. And I liked how you portrayed LOGAN. Just like in the original 80’s comic books and in the 90’s animated series as well. Good job!
Logan wants someone to believe he isn’t meant for killing. Heroes like Spider-Man get the luxury of being able to just stop people in their tracks without causing permanent damage to them, while wolverine is lethal no matter what.
I love this. Definitely something you can watch in bed, so relaxing and sets a comfortable atmosphere.
What’s really interesting is that this was written by Zeb Wells. Yes, that guy.
This.... is actually totally awesome! Perfectly entertaining, the voices were good enough, the art was great, the motion was great, and the story was compelling. Good job!
We need more of these with spider man and wolverine plz
Great story from zeb wells and good intuitive gritty art from Paolo Rivera. Thank you for putting all in this format
I liked this comic. Worth the read every time.
Spider-man and Wolverine getting along like this, and Spidey always being up for the moral high ground, keeping Logan grounded on his own birthday, this was a good comic showing their dynamic.
I love this comic.
Wasn't a fan of the whisper-shouting you did, but there is always room for improvement in a retake. This comic is worth it.
Always look forward for your motion comics. Great stuff.
Anyone else wish there were more of these? I need more wolverine motion comics like this.
This was so good. One of my favorite comics.
These motion comics remind me of the book and records they had years ago.
I wanna see a live action of this comic with the 2 actors, Hugh Jackman and Tobey Maguire. (Of course Hugh, with his clothes & leather jacket on and Tobey with his Spider-Man suit on.)
Bully Maguire and Hugh getting sloshed together 😂
Why not tomorrow holland
I think this is more on Andrew Garfield´s alley... but yes.
What’s wrong with Tobey Maguire?
Love this.
I'd love more shorts like this exploring all the 'side scenes' from the comics that don't make it onto the big screen. I'm always seeing those little character/world building moments talked about in theory videos and such and these little scenes deserve more love and attention
These kinds of comics are the ones which makes me want to read
That was actually wholesome. Thought that was official for a while
We are a LOnggggg ways away from having this kind of interaction between Marvel's two favorite characters in the Disney's MCU
These are always the best comics. Just conversation between two amazingly fleshed out characters. Thanks for making this!
We need One Shots like this from Marvel like one of those 'Special Presentations'
This is absolutely incredible. I love the creativeness and the way the story was put together. A lot of depth, emotion, and a great story with some moral lessons in it. I hope you can make more about wolverine and spiderman. Those are my two favorite comic book hero's. Thanks for putting this out there for us to watch. I Loved it.
Yeah im pretty sure Logan just called spidey just in case sabretooth comes
He’s dead (I think) in this story line.
Wolverine sees Spider-Man as the nicest hero on earth , so I doubt he would risk his life to fight sabertooth
Very well done. Loved the simplicity of the story line. Amazing
I loved Spider-Man's voice! This was nice. Thanks for the upload!
Aaawn. I love Peter's "I'm-simply-done" expressions.
I Hope This Becomes a Post Credit Scene Or a Side Mission In Wolverine PS5 Or Spider-Man 3
Man, this is awesome! Serious kudos. I just finished my first motion comic attempt, and it took sooooooo long. Haha. But it is not nearly this professional, no idea how you pulled out the speech bubbles and popped them in like that.
But if you have time go check mine out! Just posted it. It’s Doom escaping hell and almost getting Thor’s hammer
I feel like Wolverine’s relationship with Spiderman is like Wolverine’s relationship with Deadpool
Oh my gosh I love this comic so much. I'm so glad to see a dub.
Anyone who tries to say that Wolverine acts more American than Canadian, hasnt met many Canadian soldiers from the 1910's to the 1980's. My father served for 28 years with the PPCLI 2nd Battalion, joined in the 1980's, and is part of why my favourite hero has always been Wolverine, being constantly exposed to Canadian soldiers who acted and behaved idenitcally to Wolverine, on and off the field of battle. Logan is a Dirty Cowboy through and through, PPCLI, it only makes sense since he was born in Alberta and both PPCLI 1st and 3rd Battalion are starioned in Alberta, 2nd Battalion in Shilo, Manitoba.
7:55 indeed he was not a clown
I didn’t know what this was when I clicked on it. It’s my birthday today and I’m spending it alone In a new city. This really cheered me up
Remember when Zeb Wells used to write actual good stuff?
Logan and Peter have a pretty interesting friendship to say the least
Logan would've turned that rube into swiss cheese :
If it weren't for The Amazing Spider Man 🕸
What a master piece, Logan sees a real friend in Spider-Man 🙏🏽
