Try asking him about Radioland Murders.
Well that is until he has to approve something that he fears might make him lose money ... Don't get me wrong he made Star Wars and for that he has my praise... But for fooks sake why did he wait so many years to release the DVD's and why did Europe have to wait 8-9 months longer on the release of Episode 1 (at which time the plot was utterly spoiled for me).
I thought it was real and got legit concerned for that guy and a bit disappointed at GL, glad it's just a skit haha

George is actually a hilarious dude. Very quick witted, and dry sense of humor - and doesn't take himself too seriously like all these other directors who claim to be "artists". George truly IS one.
I remember reading an interview with some unknown actor who scored a part in one of the prequel movies playing a young version of someone from the originals, and the day he was supposed to be on camera he had cut himself shaving. He said that he went up to George Lucas to apologise because he thought he'd be in trouble, but Lucas looked at the cut and said "nah, that's a scar you got at the Battle of ," and it was fine.

George was great. He could take a joke and even contributed to projects that joked about his work. Every big Star Wars parody either was backed by him or the creators got to be involved in official stuff like the guy who made Troops. He got to work on a comic called Tag and Bink. Star Wars pre-Disney was genuine fun and now it’s a bigger case grab than what the “George Lucas killed my childhood” crowd could imagine.
edit: Guys when I say "George was great" in past tense I mean when he owned Star Wars. I'm not saying he isn't great now or that he is dead. I'm saying Star Wars was in a better place before Disney.

I personally wasn't a big fan of the prequels until after the Clone Wars series filled out a lot of context, and i *DESPISE* the sequel trilogy with the absolutly passion of 1000 dying stars.

In the lead up to TFA they made a big deal about how they were going back to A New Hope using practical effects and even down to using the same type of cameras used for that movie. There was conscious effort to reassure those who didn't like the prequels that they were going back to the OT and it's very evident. One of the books released in the lead-up to TFA called "Life Debt" had story about Jar Jar being a traveling clown befriending an orphan and he says that everyone hates and blames him for the rise of the Empire by proposing that Palpatine be given emergency powers.
It's mean-spirited and depressing. Him being frozen in carbonite? Hilarious. That? Not in the slightest.
He also came up with Mara Jade, which was great too

Fun fact: he actually played as Baron Papanoida in Revenge of the Sith. You see his character in the hallway of the opera before Anakin goes in to talk with Palpatine. It’s a shame he didn’t have any speaking parts though.

Lucas could barely keep from laughing, so it seemed to be a skit. And a cameraman just coincidentally happened to be right there,which seems like if Lucas really did something like that in anger, the camman would have been told to stop filming before he went off. :)

I’ve never heard George speak beyond -40 decibels this is amazing.
Nice people are the scariest when they get angry.
2 Decibels is quite loud. For comparison, the average tv volume if on say the regular 12 would be about -32 Decibels although it can vary. I don't think George Lucas normally speaks at over -20D.

@Mahesh Hey, sound engineer here, I fiddle around with Hz and db a lot at work and can say that a normal human conversation is around 55 dB. In response to what @Ben Hartley is saying, some consumer electronics use a different scale to the normal dB that isn't actual dB but I am pretty sure what is happening with him is he is seeing the amplifier amount not the actual volume out of the speakers.

The sliding doors is what gets me. Five seconds of them just standing there and waiting for the doors to be fully open.
