- Mark Goes Back in Time to Change EVERYTHING | Invincible REBOOT Explained #invincible #comics #short When Mark travels back to the past and tries to confirm this is all real, Robot tells Mark that he never wanted him to learn about his secret because he thought he’d treat him differently, but the actual reason is that Robot says he doesn’t relate to people on a normal level, and it’s something that scares him because he worries that one day he’s going to make a decision to do something horrible he feels is the right thing to do for the sake of humanity. At that time, Robot knows that his LACK of humanity is going to cloud his judgement allowing him to do something truly awful, which makes everyone laugh since they think Robot could NEVER do something like that.. But Mark feels a cold feeling run down his spine.. Oh god.. He says outloud quietly under his breath, as Robot Realizes that Mark DOES know something and tells Mark that he HAS to tell him what he did.. But Mark says that he can’t, however what Robot just said put a lot of things into perspective and he really needs to get back home, as his powers finally kick in and he flies away with way more than he asked for, as the horror of Robot’s words continue to haunt him, and soon we’ll tell you EXACTLY what Robot did to put that fear into Mark.

I love how those horrible things he thought he was gonna do were actually beneficial to the planet, just presented in the wrong way.
Not necessarily. His purely logical thinking
The thing is, it can be both beneficial and horrible at the same time.
Like a trolley problem where you only want to get the best logical outcome, always. But the thing about the trolley problem is that it doesn't account for everything, which is why it's a pure way to represent a "good" choice.
There's always something else that can be done outside of it to save everyone, or even just save more.
This is why Robot is incredibly freight ending as a savior and leader. He can do the best he knows, but can't/won't account for everything outside of it.
Needs of the many outweighs the few.
