Ragged Glory is a master piece
You can find a lot of guitarists who can zip all over the fretboard at light speed and play 37 notes a second, and play them all perfectly, and it's all very impressive, and you know what? Neil Young plays one note with more emotion that they will have in their whole career. That's just a fact. And it's not just Neil either. Listen to the bass and drums and rhythm guitar. So simple, but so full of emotion.
Quite. Many are faster than Hendrix, few have the soul. Same with Young.
One of their best recorded performances ever. So tight and energy-laden - feel the horse!
Neil just loves to play his guitar!
And he became quite good at it :)
What would you have given to be a member of that audience?! My Rust Bucket box set arrived yesterday. Needless to say, I'm in Horse heaven. "Over And Over" is my favourite so far.
I Hope of the complete Upload Here.
A whole damn lot . Saw him at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, years ago...amazing/
Hi Neil Young
I’ve listened to Mansion on the Hill quite often but I love this one a best so far. Thanks Thanks for this one. Donna❣️
Hello Donna, comments like get my heart. How long have you been my fan and which is your favourite song?
I love this era of Neil and The Horse❤😁
One of the periods of his career I would most have liked to see them.
Neil is a great musician and songwriter,obviously...
the band has always been a tight group of real pros...i
especially like the steady great drumming of Ralph Molina,
and the album,Greendale is an all time favorite...thanks also
Neil for the good you have done for farmers and their
fight to save their lands & homes from the toxic
chemicals that monsanto and others make and that
have been soaking our food crops and destroying the
soils,plants,orchards,bees,wildlife for so long.
Nice summary.
Greendale had alot of similar characters as my life.. And some beautiful Bluesy guitar solos...
Sensational !!!!!!!
I can't like/love this enough times. Wow. One of My favorite songs with Crazy Horse and played so perfectly. That could have been the record take.
I dont know why but I have always loved ralph molinas drumming. Nice and simple in a good way.
I agree 100%. My favourite rock and roll is never very complicated. Neil and the Horse are very representative of that... the passion and emotion always come through and transcend from the basic but extremely solid performance they give.
It's easy to see how Neil Young and Bob Dylan became pals. Great stuff.
He's always been my favorite artist. From Everyone Knows This is Nowhere"..... He was my hero through the 60's and beyond...
Me too
How about his first album, "Neil Young"? Except the last song it's a masterpiece.
Słucham Neila od 55 lat i mi się nigdy nie nudzi - Rengi from od Poland!🤠✌️🎸💯
Quand Neil est passé à Nantes en juin 2009 , c'était cette chanson en premier... Inoubliable !

Niel Young is a master of taking a few notes and chord progressions and creating timeless music. I have been playing his music since 1970. I bought my first Les Paul Custom in 1976 just to get that Neil Young sound. All of his subtle string techniques is timeless.
When I listen to Neil Young, I always wonder how he can write such amazing songs and how he managed to do it for fifty years. For my life, Neil has done so much more than my father.
Awesome...
Way Down In The Rust Bucket is a Gem! Classic Neil and The Horse 🐎....... Ragged Glory is the perfect vehicle to capture such beautiful performances.....
The king of rock and roll
I was there!! One of my all time favorite shows ever. I helped some friends make an audience recording but it's so great to see a video!!
epic stuff👍🙂
Simply the best.
Way down low in the rust bucket is the masterpiece as well 👍👍😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
just raw rock'n roll
So good to hear
I just love him. His life force just explodes everywhere.
Old Men forever Young 👍
Awesome
Forever Young !
Un vrai rocker,et que le cheval fou galope !
My cousin and I were at this show. We were about 15 feet from the stage in front of Billy Talbot. It was a great show, top 5 all time for both of us. It was 3 sets with two 15 minute or so set breaks. It appeared they had smoked something during the two breaks. There were about a dozen acoustic guitars set up on the right side of the stage in case Neil was in the mood but he never even looked at them. I knew it was a great show from my point of view but I didn’t know the band considered it a great one as well. I saw the show they did at the Catalyst for the Broken Arrow album also but it wasn’t as good as this one, not even close, I hardly even remember it. Judging by the camera angles they’re showing in this video, we would be just out of the frame. I was curious if I would be able to see us. So glad this show is finally being released. The other great thing about this show is the sound was the best I ever heard at the Catalyst and I went there all the time. Great mix and it wasn’t too loud, which was almost always a problem at the Catalyst.
Of course they burnt on breaks!
Lookin forward to takin the record to 11 soon
Great Stuff and by the way well done on the last box set
I like this song . Awesome 👍. We love you Neil 💓
Amazing how Neil and Frank share lead and rhythm guitar on this track. So tight.
Superb
Muchas felicidades por estos temas que causan inspiración
最高ですね。。!ギタープレイも痺れますし、この声は唯一無二。

1990 was a great year for the horse
❤❤❤❤❤
Un gran talento, un gran artista así como también un Gran grupo de e acompañamiento 4
Wish he had let Sampedro play more leads like this. Dynamics are interesting.
Good point. Pancho deserved the chance, for sure.
Agree with that, PONCHO, Manuel, is a force to be reckoned with!!!! JACKIEBLUE( L.A.)✌
And how cool is this?
Way COOL!! 🤗💞One of my many favorites. "I was in a hurry, but that don't matter now!!" LUV IT!!
Very cool!
@tk422 - 😆
This was a great tour. I even had first row seats. Lordy it was loud. Still is this release much different then the Weld DVD. Neil has kinda been releasing everything lately, both good, and bad. Is getting this worth it, unless you are a Neil completest.
I read some of the other replies, Appears to be worth it. I'm getting it. :)
É uma sonzeraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I wish I could see what they are playing.
👍❤👍
Feedback is back.
he is the .. well
🙂
a monument to electricity
I wish I could see Neil and Crazy Horse in a small place (even if I was lucky to see him in small place with Promise of the Real)!
I always felt like that about bruce springsteen. Love the music but those giant stadium shows always miss the mark with me.
Crazy Horse and Neil Young have all the dexterity, musicality and subtlety of a dinosaur lumbering over a hill. But gotta love them though :)
I'd call em a more pleasant powerhouse than most metal rock.
From a long time fan. . I love Neil when he sticks to music rather than medical advice. Much much better.
I prefer this concert to Weld. Not just the music performance but his haircut is better!!!
Reaaaaly bad hair on Weld.
@@crazycrow76 Hey, he cut it himself...what do you want? lol
@@blindriv3r I know, don't pick on him. It's not like the music was affected??
@@crazycrow76 Lòò)
I bet Neil had not nad a hair cut in a long time before this video.
Then some manager probbly asked Neil to cut his hair before the Weld tour. And Neil did exactly what was asked of him like he always do.
Todavía conservo doble lp four way street de los cuatro caballeros
Am I hearing an overdub at 1:32...?
I hope I'm not.
That’s poncho
@@Italian_Gentleman_of_leisure Phew. So used to NY doing all the leads, as only he can :-)
What Mansion?
😂
... :-)... I wonder why Google thinks I'm a huge Neil Young fan, and always puts him up on my front screen?... Please Google, get your AI right!
🤔Maybe Google thinks you need to listen to the words of the song🙂❤🙋♀️
@@LindaPerry_337 ... Linda, yes, I was thinking that too.
Never know, tell you try.
I just can’t support any artists that are against free speech or anyone, Neil your not rocken in the free world anymore, your back in the ussr disliked !!!
Boring sound, boring rhythm, boring melody... Come on Neil you could do much better!!!
Great song about time travel what can be boring about that?? Too deep for some I am thinking✌Jackieblue(L.A.)
