I just finished watching the last episode and I had a strong feeling that the dueling pistols from Count Rostov’s story he told Nina would come back into play at some point. Alexander is the only person in that entire hotel that knew about the dueling pistols behind the pictures and it played out perfectly. This is a good series and Ewan McGregor played a White Russian aristocrat very well.
Since his rebirth he has become more in every way but after losing millions via divorce he is taking more work which for us is wonderful

Well yes, if you speak Russian.
Don't like what he's wearing, and the way he's sitting, he looks older than he is. He doesn't seem to be aging well in general.
Was there no one available who could do a Russian accent? I loved the book but Ewan McGregor is a bad fit for the Count.

We’ll, OK then.
We'll, technically he should be speaking Russian. So I'm not sure why speaking English with a Russian accent is so important. It would be just as false as speaking English with an English accent.

Käme die Serie aus Russland wäre sie auch deutsch synchronisiert.
Wir schauen ja auch aus einer russischen Perspektive zu und die Leute sprechen damit unsere Sprache. Ziel der Sprache ist es sie zu verstehen.
Sprächen die Menschen eine Fremdsprache würde man ja nichts verstehen.
Der Graf spricht ja russisch und keine Fremdsprache.
Vielleicht versteht ihr was ich damit sagen will.
