maia actually if ur not from michigan it usually helps u more because they will sacrifice lower grades so they can get your out of state tuition but 🤷🏽♀️

I’m a recently graduated Berkeley alum, and I promise you Cal isn’t worth your tears. I had a great experience there but many of my peers struggled immensely. I think you’ll have a just as great (if not better) college experience at any of the other schools you’ve been accepted to. Keep your head up :)
I live in Berkeley California and Cal is the hardest UC to get into . I have 20 friends who applied to CAL and 10 made it and 10 rejected. I Could feel your pain of being weight listed but don't give up! Berkeley is a real competitive school and if they don't choose a great person like you that's their fault! You will do great at any college Emily! I also find it funny how most of the colleges you applied too I will be applying too 😂
Natalie HHH My teachers pushed us to go the a 4 year college/uni, so I had that mentality of taking out loans and investing in my career like everyone else. I tried applying to scholarships but it was difficult to find them and my high school wasn’t much help in guiding us on where to find them. I was able to get a scholarship from Mount Mary that covered 85% of my tuition BUT the nursing program was the only program excluded! (Idk why 😐). I went to the open house at my community college and fell in love with the school they showed us lots of resources and they said they had a program where they cover all our tuition for our associates degree. I got out of that mentality of being ok with 60,000 in debt and went to community college. I plan of graduating with my ADN RN, find a job, then make my job pay for my BSN. I start my nursing classes the 26 of this month!
Congrats on most of your acceptances you should be very proud! I was also sad too when I initially was waitlisted at Cal since its my dream school. But I got off the waitlist a couple weeks ago, and was so relieved. I know this is kind of an old video, but YT just recommended it to me and I just felt like commenting. First - congratulations! You got into so many colleges/UC that I was a bit astonished when you almost cried after that Berkeley rejection, but I get it, it was your dream school... I also am (hopefully) going to university this fall, but the system in my country (Poland) is completely different to US's. I don't know all the details of how to apply to a UC in USA, but I guess you have to put a lot of work into making these applications, writing extra essays etc. Well, in Poland the only thing that counts for the universities are the final, national exams calles maturas (and also some auditions or practical tests in a handful of cases, like for example for drama studies). Honestly it sucks a bit because you could have spent hours learning and working to write the finals the best you possibly can and still not write them amazingly because you never know what can appear on it, it could be anything from the books or not even from them at all... I've already written my maturas (they always start at the beginning of May and end around the 23rd-24th of May) and even though I moved on and started to enjoy my vacation (I officialy ended high school at the end of April), I feel that the results I'll get won't make me satisfied, especially that I worked my butt off in the final year and spent a lot of free time on extra stuff, contests, voluntary work etc. Anyway, I hope my story was maybe a bit interesting lol and congrats one more time :)

I spent my freshman at Berkeley and ended up transferring to UC Davis for personal reasons like happiness, peace and down to earth people. 10 years later, I am running a tech company with 100 plus employees all over the world. Proud Aggie here!!!

Don't fret! you got into a lot of really great schools and no matter where you end up, that school will be lucky to have you. I spent my freshman at Berkeley and ended up transferring to UC Davis for personal reasons like happiness, peace and down to earth people. 10 years later, I am running a tech company with 100 plus employees all over the world. Proud Aggie here!!!
Awww no offense, your high school seems a little toxic...opening all the decision letters out in the open and having to see someone be so happy to get into a school you might have not... i would've hated that. that being said, congrats on all the schools you did get into! and wish you the best of luck:)

You got into my dream school, and it's okay not to get into Ivies. Majority of people don't get in because they're so selective but that doesn't mean you're not smart or unworthy of a great education. You got into some really great schools and that's amazing
Honestly good for you that you applied to hard schools to get into, out of fear of being rejected I only applied to schools with an acceptance rate of 40% or above. I just hope you find a great school for the fall!
