- Today I rode a first class train 13 hours from Nha Trang to Hue, Vietnam. It was a memorable experience and I really enjoyed the train:) (besides the toenails that is!!
Vietnam has quickly become one of my favorite countries and I can't wait to share more videos!!
Great video. I am originally from New York but here in Vietnam now more than 30 years and I can honestly say I have never been bored. I rode that train back in the 1980s and believe me things were different.A/C was in the form of open windows and dinner was from a giant pot of soup over hot coals wheeled back and forth. Locals could come on and off at will riding up a stop then back to sell there wares and foods. Some of my best memories in fact as the activity level was incredible. Now I am curious about what you came to Hue to see. I absolutely love Hue!!
Incredible story I can see why you stayed it’s such a great country!! And yes next video Saturday :)
I’m impressed with your train tour. I think It would be a strange experience to you. Look forward to your next videos about this country.
It was actually a great experince I really enjoyed it!
You're really open to try new things, I love it. I think that's the only way you can experience new cultures to the fullest.
Yeah I really try to immersive myself in cultures
The train trip was interesting. Gotta do it once to check it off the bucket list, no? LOL! I loved seeing all the various sleeper buses people have taken and 2Passports 1Dream showed an amazing capsule one. Attila and Zae also had a nice one, NEXT Charl & Christine (LOVE this couple, they are living in Vietnam and teaching...check out their videos, I especially love the Ninh Binh ones, but they have a lot that I've yet to see since I just found them yesterday). The worst bust experience I've seen goes to Jordan and Emily.
That hotel looked awesome at the end. After that bumpy ride, I’m sure you slept well. Thanks for sharing the adventure. Looking forward to the next video
It was definitely very comfortable after the long ride 😅
@@CountingCountries nothing beats a good nights rest after a long day of traveling
Very interesting video! Thanks for sharing your experience. Even tho I may never make it to any of the places you go, I love watching the ways of different countries. It's so interesting to me how different every place is in so many ways. Like the food, the culture, the prices, the way everything runs, I mean literally pretty much everything is different. I find it pretty amazing how flexible you are to it all too. I feel some people would be in complete culture shock. But you guys always just go with the flow it seems like and take it all as it is. It's truly inspiring to watch. So again, thanks for sharing everything you do!
thanks sir, this is exactly what i needed.
Welcome to Vietnam, Have fun trip.
Thanks for watching!!
That's absolutely awesome how you traveled from Nga Trang to Hue via train, though I've never done it before - it just reminds me on how long it takes via plane to go from here (Sydney Australia) to Los Angeles and that's a direct flight.. I look forward to see what you have installed for your adventures in Hue, I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed as Hue, last time I was in Hue I went on the Huda Brewery Tour, it was amazing, I also enjoyed bike riding around the city as well as the hot springs..
Thanks for watching!! Hue is a special place. I like it a lot 😍
I got married in Vietnam I miss it
Thank you for coming to our country  hope that u always have memorable trips in here
Love it here so much! Thanks for watching ❤️🇻🇳❤️
sorry if your experience was not good, as a Vietnamese we believe the country will develop and serve tourists better
The experince was great!! I enjoyed my time on the train and met some really nice people
@@CountingCountries umm why dont u use bus or plane btw lol ?just curious. Vietjetair often has discounted ticket. Also some bus companies now have 5-star buses, which have restroom inside and big place to sleep.
@@tgiang87 I wanted the train experience :)

I'm glad you two come to visit my country
We love your country 🇻🇳🇻🇳
@@CountingCountries thank you so much
love your video 😍
Thanks for watching 😍😍
I like watching your videos. Keep up the good work
Thank you so much 😁🇻🇳
@@CountingCountries Like you did, when we came back to VN awhile ago we wanted to blend in with the locals, took a train from Nha Trang to Saigon. We were so grossed of the first class cabins. Lots of urine smell, dirty bed sheets etc. We were so surprised since much of the country were modernized except... the trains. I understood and appreciate your truthfulness
Hope you enjoyed Nha Trang where I was born and grew up. In fact, I am heading there to visit my family in two weeks. Have a wonderful time in Hue and safe travels.
Loved Nha Trang. Want to visit again soon
So excited, even Vietnamese like me still not discover by train around 113 hours from Nha Trang to Hue.
Hahah it was an adventure for sure!!
Wellcome to VIETNAM. have fun 👌👌👌🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳
Thank you 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 love this country :)
Chào mừng cậu tới VN
Cảm ơn bạn đã yêu mến đất nước chúng tôi. 🥰
i love your video
Thank you that is so nice 😁😁
Đi tàu lửa thú vị quá
I’m interested in this video. Thank you for showing us a clear picture of a first class train. 👍🏻
I’m a bit curious that how you dealt with the spoon fell off the table😃
I got a new one 🤣 just didn’t show it
Tuyệt vời
Enjoy the experience of the 20th century train ride Mani! I still remember the time as a little kid I rode a coal fired locomotive train from Sài Gòn to Nha Trang with my mom in 1979.
Wow incredible
I've been to more than 50 countries with my wife and 2 teenages so far. I'm now shy away from taking nite train since I have cousin's family that few years back was robbed to the bones while they had taken a sleeper train ride in France; They were gased and passed out during their sleep.
Sleeper bus is good and fun and unique but for those that really like some sleep, then go with the train sleeper cabin. Good choice. I used to take off from work Friday afternoon, catch dinner, get on the overnight train to Nha Trang. Get to Nha Trang early morning and see my girlfriend for the weekend. Sunday evening I'd catch the overnight train back to HCMC early morning Mon and go to work. By foreigner's standard, the cost for a soft bed 4 bed cabin is cheap and comfortable.
You should learn to ride a bike and do the Ha Giang Loop as Tim and Fin's hour long video on it is so freaking cool along with their cave video. Are you planning on going to Phu Quoc, Da Lat, or Ninh Binh? On the edge of my seat to see what you're doing in Hue.
Video coming Saturday 😀
Good on this guy for doing it but i dont think id pay $40 for that it would have probably been the same to fly there.....Well done sir..Im sapping up all Vietnam videos up as im going to Vietnam in November for 30 days Hanoi then head south to Saigon
Cool experience. Where did you get the sleep cover? Thank you
On Amazon :)
Huế to Lăng Cô and to Danang ,Island Cu Lao Chàm..
Nha Trang food sales person that's very old are so nice 👍
They were so kind!!
Hey!!! I'm planning out my trip for vietnam at the moment and will do a train ride as well. Where did you get the tickets? Did you buy it online in advanced or at the ticket window from the station? Also, are there assigned seats/bed for the first class? Or is it first come first serve? Thanks!
So happy , when i see you come to Hue , i’m from Hue , Viet Nam 🤣🤣 , but I dont know why i see you like Jason Statham actor 🤣
Hahah this is a good compliment 😬😁
Welcome to VietNam
Thank you 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳
In Germany 1 hr train ride can cost 70euro second class journey 😮 in intercity express notoriously expensive. but it really depends on the route you take.sometimes it could be 45 euro too. 40$ for first class for overnight journey is pretty good deal
Bring along the bed sheet next time if you wish to take that train again remember my suggestion
Most of us local now don't use train to travel across the country anymore and maybe u already understood why... Its sad that the system was so outdated. The price is also not much cheaper than airplane, so we mostly use plane now. Maybe its only strong point is that, ppl can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the journey.
Yeah and I travel by plane so much that I enjoy changing it up now and then
Oh my God! It was a great experience, for the most part I just took the bus or plane for the trip.Wish you good health and continue the video in Vietnam.
Thanks so much!! Still lots of places to explore in Vietnam
If you have trouble, don't worry, ask a local, they may not speak English, but they will find a way to help you. Not to mention a few bad people, most Vietnamese people are very good and friendly.
You miss the spectacular view of Hai Van Pass
I saw it just not on video 😬
Try Pho my friend……the best noodle in the world 🌴🌴
I love pho. So good
Your video has no subtitles, can you add it? I want to understand more what you say, thank you!
I’m trying to figure out the best way to do this, whenever I try RUclips messes it up. Hopefully will have good subtitles soon!!
@@CountingCountries Most of your previous videos have subtitles available, I can choose to have automatic translation in my language. But the last 2 videos are not available, you can check the settings. Thank you for your interest, Jordan!
I think you will soon reach 20k subs. Then there's the RUclips silver button
Thanks hopefully soon 🙏🏽
I went on the train in 2018….even though I had a spectacular view of the countryside….It was bumpy and noisy….I could not get a good sleep 😴
Yes it was quite bumpy
Where company did you book it through?
I could not catch name of the hotel in booking or google
Where will you be going next after Huê .
Danang :)
8:25 that's a small cemetery
Train phú quốc
Come thailand dude
How little is that chair?
I would rather take the airplane, because an one-way ticket costs around $34 and the fly takes around 1 hour to Hue.
Hi counting countries to hue vietnam
Thank you!! Love Hue ❤️🇻🇳🇻🇳
hot guy on a trip by himself . WOW
🤣🤣🤣
Been a long time since I took a train here. I just can’t stand it. I really respect people especially tourists who dare to use the toilets there lol.
1111❤️👍
Wife & child ??
Where is your partner? Is she not going with you any more?
She is heading back home to the states for a bit, then we will meet up in a few weeks!
Let me show you cảm ơn : thank you ngon quá : delicious bao nhiêu :how much
hi
few years lately Vietnamese choose bus, airplane and car than train because train service not good
Yeah I can see that. I also took a luxury bus and it was a great experince
u too big for that chair last time the lady make me do double for more support 😅🙈
Trang is pronounced "Chang".
If I were you I would take a bus instead of a train. You should find out more details about a form of transportation and a better solution . Safety and healthy should consider when traveling especially driving a motobike in Vietnam needs experience to be safe.
The train is nasty not sure why they told you take your shoes off, maybe they meant while you on the bed take your shoes off perhaps ?
This is not even Vietnam's first class train. Vietnam's first class trains would have only two beds in one room and no upstairs-bed in the room.
That toilet looks yucks
Yeah, everything inside was overflowing onto the floor 🤢
@@CountingCountries
Ewww 😂 that's why most Vietnamese don't even take train to travel across the country
When I was in Vietnam in 1969, I had some real cheap housing, it was called a FOXHOLE!
