  • Join TP and myself for a day of testing and timing at the Craigieburn Forest on the Cheeseman DH track. One of my favourite tracks in NZ.
    Our goal for this session was to compare the exact same bike (Specialized Enduro) in two different sizes. S3 vs S4. I'm 182cm tall to give a reference point and for the last two years I've been racing on the S3 bike.
    We're considering racing the S4 for the EWS in 2023 so stay tuned!

    Hey Man, loved the Video. Really enjoy seeing you get into the fine details people don’t see. Explaining how you do stuff allows for the rest of us to kind of use the knowledge for our selves aswell! Keep up the good work.

    At 178 cm a ride an S4 really happy. I rise up the head tube spacers and got a 30mm stem. You are ridding 100 times faster than me hehehe. Good luck for the next races!!!

    Nice video. How many timing beacons did you put out? Would be interesting to see how the standard deviations between segments/bikes hold up compared to overall time/ trends.

    I'm trying to buy my first electric bike. I went to see an S3. I'm 180 cm tall. but I don't know if it's too small for me, it feels comfortable but , I have long legs. the seat post I need to pull out a lot.

      I am 170cm and sat on the s3 levo but I felt the s4 fitted better. Cycle shop said I look fine on the s4. I’ve picked the s4 but now I am thinking hmmm??? However I do remember the s4 feeling great in the shop

    Man with your knowledge on the brand as a firsr time buyer , would you recommend if found in the middle of the brands sizing, to go larger or smaller!
    Thanks

      What bike are you looking at! Depending on the model makes a bit of a difference on if you should size up or size down

      @@ryanliversage The stumpy rides pretty accurate to size so if you usually like a large for example then definitely go for an S4. If you were getting an enduro I'd say to size down but not needed for stumpy as it's such a playful bike

    So in terms of bike size, utterly inconclusive?

    • @Chazmaztv
      @Chazmaztv  Год назад +8

      As an average the S4 seems to be slightly faster and less effort to ride so that was the winner on the day. Not much difference to be fair but more testing coming up so hopefully we will have a conclusion soon
