I personally dont think thats miquella in that cocoon... in the dlc trailer, they make sure to show close ups, of BOTH messmers AND miquellas right hand... because thats a right arm sticking out of the cocoon... that hand DOES NOT look like miquellas hand from the trailer... down to the fingernails

Miquella is still in the tree, what's in the cocoon is either his child (not likely) or a reincarnation, only reason I say that is well he started watering the tree with his own blood and sooner or later the tree would have been big enough (I say about the size of a minor Erdtree) where he could graft himself inside the tree, the figure in the tree is Miquella and the cocoon could be him but most likely a child or reincarnation of Miquella, but they do say, "Touch the withered arm, and enter the realm of shadow" no name is actually mentioned, but who knows really
Can I just say nemesis I really love this theory? The idea that maybe Miquella has children or that he has reincarnations is super interesting! Fingers crossed we get more info in the dlc 🤞
I have a hot theory that no one is talking about wich is Melina's connection to frenzyflame, since she is the only one who seems to know what the frenzyflame is, she is the one who talks about it the most and explain things about it such as it does not distinguish life, it only consumes, what about if the Crucible and the Frenzy once were one on the same, what if they were the older elden ring wich looks like a 5 fingered hand image, and guess what, we do have reference about hand splitting in the game, at this point we all know about the two and three fingers, maybe the frenzyflame does have the thumb cuz it means its the half of the hand who activelly opose and it is the half of the hand that is made to complete the cycle of the older elden ring by consuming the life that its other half, the crucible creates, or else it would not be a cycle at all.
I really like this! The crucible was a boiling pot for all life, everything was one.. the frenzied flame seeks for everything to become one with the one great again, it really does seem so similar! A reason why she knows about the friendliest flame might be because she’s so old, but you’re thought definitely could be true too!
Also, both Mohg and Morgott went through some pretty extreme mesures, to keep the Frenzied Flame locked up!

The reason i got so hype with this theory its because Melina seems to be hidding knowlege about Shabriri, also Shabriri tries to concern you about her sacrifice, sounds like he care for her, but all he wants is for her to be spared so he can finnaly finish consuming her soul, since she is already bodyless and her body was burnt, wich means consumed by flames, i think these 2 have a lot of hidden connections to each other, Melina and Shabriri, both sound like they are hidding theyr intentions on the player.
Miquella's arm reaching up towards the area with eternal darkness, then dipping down, is similar to how those lilies and glovewort grow. Fickle flowers.
Miquella seems like a hopeful being, while Messmer actively questions his mothers decision.
While other demigods have sins attached to them, Messmer who questions god is the cardinal sin of despair, loss of faith/hope in god. Could be the one who commit the first cardinal sin. I think he is talking to his mom similar to Marika with Radagon. I think she's making fun Radagon because he is easy to manipulate, like Messmer feels Marika made a poor choice choosing the tarnished to be a lord, but then shows like 7 bad*** tarnished each in the middle of an awesome attack. The tarnished are like the prisoner soldiers the king from berserk sends to get Griffith back, he doesn't care about them, but he knows they get the job done. The pocket army he ddn't tell others about, by keeping the soldiers in prison. Probably fighting each other like arena combatants. Not so different from being a mercenary in armored core.

About from the game giving all the mechanics of how Marika and radagon being the same person
To the player character being a mimic of Miquella
Well they are related
We learn that mimic tear is from the ancient city of nokron
The whole story how nokron got confined to underground is hidden
But basically so this is not too long
Radagon is a mimic tear of marika
This satisfies all the confusing questions on how he and her could be the same person and be in 2 different places at once
A mimic veil has a description that calls it marikas mischief
Mischief ?!
Oh I need to correct the statue in the shaded castle was thought to be Godwyn not radagon.
But you never see marika hugging her children
But there's is so much I can barely go into anything here

I also think Mesmer the impaler is a call back to Vlad the impaler who was part of the order of the dragon and had dragon iconography all over his armor
A count or lord vlad Dracula with the word ... his father being vlad Dracul meaning dragon
Dracul ya meaning son of the dragon
Also many references to Count Dracula commanding legions of the underworld or hell

I don’t think Mohg was actually in love with Miquella or had any attraction to him. Most of that comes from the line about how Mohg tried to share his bedchamber but never got any response. In the Japanese text, they use the same word here as they do when they describe it as a cocoon in other places in English. The word theybuse both times is more accurately translated as just “chamber” not “bedchamber,” so I take that as meaning Mohg tried to get in there in his blood form, but Miquella never woke up or responded to him being there, I think he was just trying to get him to wake up.
I really wish the Japanese translations were done better, so many things get misinterpreted because of the translations! There’s so many possibilities, fingers crossed we’ll get some more answers in the dlc, but knowing fromsoftware it’ll probably just give us more questions!

Doing very well, thank you! I am lucky that, currently, all I need is Shadow of the Erdtree and more lore vids with a ton of fresh source material. I really like this idea that Miquella is behind his own kidnapping, compelling Mohg's affection. That shows such a level of 4D chess that the other demigods, even his sister, may not be privy to.

there is in game info saying he's had no response from miquella, i think on moghs remembrance, but maybe he's being compelled into taking him, personally i think hes used the halgetree to enter the shadow lands, godwyns body grew after death with no soul mabie miquella did too, his soulless husk not cursed anymore, like how morgots curse lifts when dying

your thoroy could still be argued is happening without moghs knowledge, its not like all descriptions are from credible sources, sometimes from vause quotes that could be biased or just thoughts on the subject, but he does seem pretty confident in his plan and miquella, so he could very well be being controlled
the art work in the halegtree, of a guy with a big needle (possibly a vague depiction of older miquella) in front of lots of tortured looking souls, makes me think of Griffith (berserk) i think he's driven by ambition and willing to stand on the lives of others to get it, like melania says hes the most fearsome, and the trailer about using love and nothing being scarier, marika did the same thing!!

That being said, like I have been theorizing with you for months, Miquella WANTED to be taken, the Formless Mother is FAR more involved than most realize, like I think she influenced Malenia to go to Caleid, to fight Radahn, so Miquella can be taken by Mohg to Mohgwyn Palace, so he can be turned into a full God! Miquella probably forsaw failure, so, he started his Plan B! He wants to ascend to FULL godhood, first and foremost! For us, Mohg has to die, loose ends and Miquella wouldn't need him anymore, and Radahn has to go too, because Miquella can't do anything, while he's still alive! I think, Miquella isn't above having half-siblings killed, to succeed in his plans! If Miquella REALLY didn't want to be taken to Mohgwyn Palace, he could have had Malenia NUKE Mohg before he got anywhere near the Haligtree! I REALLY think Mohg is telling the truth! Miquella and the Formless Mother WANTED this! Miquella is WAY too powerful, for this to be one-sided! He's a Empyrean, after all, the one most capable to fully ascending to Godhood! He can't do that, while in just a spirit form, in the Land of Shadows. I think Messmer is or was a Empyrean as well, if his power is supposed to be THAT extreme, he's on the same level as Miquella, Malenia, Ranni, and the Gloam-Eyed Queen! It would have been interesting to see how those Council Meetings, with Messmer, went! Malenia just HAD to have been influenced by the Formless Mother, and if you want to go full dark-side, Miquella, to got to Calied and fight Radahn! SHe had NO other reason to be there! WOULD Miquella manipulate hisnown twin-sister to achieve his own ends, well, we might see in the DLC! I think our actions with or against Messmer, is going to dictate how the DLC is going to end! MAN, if we get to TEAM UP with Messmer, to take on a Full God Miquella, who could have a Deathblight/Frenzy Vassal Beast for all we know, and Messmer's Flame could be one of our only shots against that! IF Miquella TRULY wields power on THAT scale, one of the biggest "HOLY S%#@" moments, EVER, up towards, or, during the Final Battle, the Gloam-Eyed Queen frickin' shows up, because it's she (other than possibly Messmer), that can truly combat Frenzied Flame! Just IMAGINE, US, The Tarnished, Messmer, AND the Gloam-Eyed Queen all fighting TOGETHER, against Miquella, the (probable) God of Blood/Frenzied Flame/Deathblight! There is NO WAY, they're going to let what's left of Godwyn, just sitting there, or, the (possible) return of the Gloam-Eyed Queen and her threat, if you get the Frenzied Flame Ending, hanging there! I have heard that there were going to be TWO DLC's at first, but, they then decided to put them together into a BIG one instead! I think the other one was going to be about the Gloam-Eyed Queen! IF Miquella really goes THAT far, no one is going to let all creation burn to the ground! I still think the boss that Miyazaki spoke of, that's supposed to be FAR harder than Malenia EVER was, is Miquella! ESPECIALLY if he fully ascends, or is about to, and has Blood/Frenzied Flame/ Deathblight powers, AND possibly a Vassal Beast mostly made up of what's left of Godwyn! NO WAY, Messmer is the Big-Baddie, it's too simple and obvious, and that's NOT how Miyazaki thinks! He never does anything for nothing! Would it be great to team up with a Demi-God/Empyrean, for a change! Sorry this latest theory went all over the place, that's just how my brain works, lol!
