Thanks for answering the question on storage capacity - can upgrading the ssd impact performance negatively at all? Especially on a laptop that’s low power like this.

Thinking about repasting, do you think you could post a tutorial on how to repaste the cyborg? Also thinking about using Honeywell PTM 7950 instead of normal paste. And then could you do a tutorial on how to reboot the laptop after you’ve installed a new SSD card? Cuz I’ve hear issues of ppl having to reinstall stuff etc
If you have a hard-drive use it as a Restore Drive. Go to search bar and search RECOVERY MEDIA DRIVE, insert the driver you wish to use as a restore point for the computer. You then want to create the restore driver. Takes about 30 mins for everything to be stored onto the driver depending on how much storage is on it. Please be aware that this will delete any files you have on the driver USB you are using. Afterwards, uninstall the NVMe SSD you have installed. This means unscrew all the clips and remove power from the battery, take out the driver SSD. Then place in the new one. Seal the whole thing back up nice and tight screws and make sure battery is connected. Plug the USB hard-drive into the SS port located on left side of computer. Power on the CP with the AC adapter connected. Press F3 repeatedly while it's booting up. Bring you to a blue screen. Click on Recover device. Then let it do it's thing. Mine took an hour but I got all my files and games downloaded.
Late reply, but for reapplying paste, you can refer to other laptop thermal paste applying videos. The steps aren't that different. There are issues that occurred after switching to a new SSD because this laptop only has ONE M.2 slot. And when you replace your old, filled M.2 SSD with a new, empty M.2 SSD, it's bound to happen. I suggest taking off the existing M.2 SSD from the laptop and transfer everything from it to a new M.2 SSD using some sort of 3rd-party program that moves entire drives, on another system.

I guess MSI removed second ssd slot in Cyborg series for many reasons, 1. Price, If MSI Cyborg used second ssd slot the cost would be more expensive. 2. Marketing Purpose, MSI Cyborg laptop seemingly for those who want to buy gaming laptop but affordable for gamer that don't require higher specs.
If you check the product number (PABD08008SH) on the FAN you will see it is a separate assembly, so "technically" you can swap the fans if you want. I believe the fan assembly and the fins are glued together with a tape on the side, so not that hard to separate them and use something else. FAN replacement for example: amzn.to/3AlzJqG
The screwhole is there, but if you look closely the motherboard is lack of the connector. Next to the Wifi module there is the place for the NVMe slot marks. (but the connector itself is not present) @14:06

Actually based on what I read, that part (PCH) better leave without thermal paste, as this is not a heat generating part. So it makes it worse to apply paste over it, cause the temperature generated by the right side (SOC) can transfer over here as well. No, not at all. Raw storage capacity doesn't impact. But if you install a lot of programs (which runs all the time), then it can. :D
Thanks, I didn’t think so but wanted to be sure 😊

13:00 this is right, you don't want the PCH to be thermally connected with the copper cause it's cooler than the CPU even without dissipation
