If you use a secondary display for color accuracy than yes. Performance wise its pretty fine, i would rather opt for the 4060 version of this laptop. But the screen is only 60 procent srgb there is a winsows auto color feature that makes it allot better and its also possible to completly swap the display to a 100 srgb screen that should work on these laptops but i guess thats to much of a hassle. So yeah if you buy this laptop and to color grading on a second hand 4k screen that you attach than its deff worth it.
I'd suggest something better like Asus ROG Strix G16 that can go up to a Core I9 14th gen, also the Dell G15 which also goes up to a Core I9 13th gen and I'd suggest something with between 14 cores or a bit more if it's possible but for 4k editing or you can get a pc
I got the version with i7 12650H and the RTX4060 8gb vram. 1250,- but i sold my mac so didnt pay that much. Great gaming laptop no complaints also have desktop with 3070. Still 4060 does a great job in games like bf 2042 Cod modernwarfare, Arma reforter, New world Etc. Screen colers are a bit off but you dont notice it in games only with my backgrounds. You can change the colers a bit with a intel app.

In the Netherlands they show this laptop as 1500,- for 1250,- but prices are rediculous here in the Netherlands. If you Wanne go for build quality get Alienware but they are more Buck for specs. Still this laptop feels pretty solid. A hole lot better than the GF from MSI don't get that cuz it's for sure gnne have hinge issues. In game preformance is pretty great if you know how to work with windows.

The Cpu for lenovo legion ryzen has 6 cores. Which is average for gaming. but this laptop has I7-13620 which has 10 cores, 6 of them being performance, and 4 of them being efficiency cores. And because of the battery cap, the rtx a little better than 3060 so
I picked up one of these laptops a few days ago. That said, I haven't opened it yet, but I'm thinking there has to be some sort of downside because it's so cheap, relatively speaking. Can anyone provide any insight?

No. If you have extra cash, go for Lenovo Gaming or Legion. Theyre the best one but kinda rare to find. Next is Nitro if you can find the one with 3060. If youre budget is tight, the Machenike F117 is a beast for its price. Way better than msi despite being a chinese company. How do I know this? I own a msi thin and its overheating (i gifted after I got upgraded to this cyborg). Got another msi cyborg 3050ti and the performance is garbage despite its great specs. Traded it again and now I am using a Lenovo Gaming Pad 3. Meanwhile, my brother own a Machineke and design wise, its way better. I looks like a Razer or Alienware. Crazy how its cheap af. TLDR: I recommend Lenovo if you can add extra. If not, go for Machenike.

tdp is capped to 45 watt, however rtx 4050 still performs about 50 percent better than 3050 even with the highest tdp
