Like the original batman cartoon series. Villains weren't always evil just for the sake of some evil goal like money or power. Some had some deep goals. Like baby doll or Harley Quinn.
Better than the joker who cut his face off and killed for the laughs and Killed all the robins or the one who wants batman to turn evil or break and kill him or You get it
It’s good to see Bruce can keep John from turning into more of a monster than he could have been without his support. I know it kind of moves away from the original Joker’s idea but, it’s nice to see Telltale trying to make this version somewhat redeemable.
This version of the Joker has borderline personality disorder instead of the usual antisocial personality disorder depictions of the Joker. BPD males tend to get dominated.
Bruce is crazy. Fancy costume, childhood trauma, obsession with criminals, black and white justice codex. Joker speech makes more sense when Bruce says he is Justice! Actually Bruce is more fucked up than vigilant Joker.
Honestly, while the villain route had things such as the gas, Harley, and the masked crew, the Vigilante route seemed more in tune to the actual Joker as we know him, especially at the end with the final battle. I've always pictured Batman and Joker to have that sort of love-hate relationship.
On the contrary, imo Vigilante Joker is an antithesis to the traditional ones, he has rhyme and reason for and in his madness, while usually it's all in the name of being "funny", but hes definitely one of the better versions, and most definitely the most fresh
Villain Joker not only committed mass murder, was always in charge, and manipulated everything, he was as obsessed with the Batman as much as any other variant of the character. I haven't actually *seen* much of Fallen Friend Joker, but he just seems to have been driven to the edge and had a temporary mental breakdown. In fact I prefer the Villain Joker route, despite all the extra loss and suffering, because it makes Gotham into the sort of dangerous place that desperately needs Batman's help. Like when Harvey became mayor.
Still I choose to be Bruce-Man for most of the game. I just prefer it. But there do be times where you gotta be Batman thoe, Sacrificing yourself instead of Catwoman and pretty much Vigilante Joker.
This version of the Joker is the most unique, being more Borderline and on occasion truly insane than most of the more "sane but psychopathic" incarnations. A Joker who could not entirely make sense of things around him, and did not kill because it made him feel bigger, but because he acted before thinking.
even though i´m pretty sure the ``attack choices´´ didn´t matter in the outcome of the final fight with John (Joker), i liked the fact that you go for the most ``harmless´´ ones, giving the idea that even after him go so far, Batman still didn´t wanted to hurt him
Fábio Fillips Theodoro well honestly I think breaking his nose with a headbutt wearing an armored cowl is worse than restraining him with what’s basically a taser but to each his own.
Electricity can actually mess up your heartbeat and make it go all wacky if it's strong enough. And then that'll kill you! So it'd be much, much worse than breaking someone's nose.

Dear Roblox People, The name "John Doe" actually refers to a practice done by law enforcement and morticians who have an unidentified corpse, or by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. Instead of referring to a nameless person as "person" or "the body" they give them a fake, common name like John Doe for the sake of simplicity. John never told the staff at Arkham Asylum what his name was and they had no way of knowing so they just referred to him as John Doe. It has nothing to do with Roblox.
But thanks for the explanation in case anyone didn't know that. I'm studying criminal justice currently, so already knowing the background on it, I really liked seeing Joker be known as John Doe throughout the game. I'm sure someone will be wondering why that name was chosen specifically.
"I guess that's it. I really wanted to be a hero, you know? But I-I-I just can't." The joker's final words really feel like they're coming from the people at Telltale games. It's all about lost potential. A company that couldn't overcome their own problems, just like the John couldn't overcome the Joker. I will miss their excellent storytelling.
Obi-Wan Kenobi I prefer Batman and Joker to be enemies after what John did despite we tried to teach him to be good in this last episode. I stayed quite when Joker asked me if I considered him as my friend and he said that we will be enemies. Evan Russell He didn't really say anything edgy. To a degree, the Joker was right. He calls Batman out for beating people to a bloody pulp, but then says that Batman justifies it because he didn't kill anyone. Sure, Joker takes it too far by demanding a death sentence, but then who is Batman to say what the line between justice and brutality is? He's also right in saying that Waller hides behind her bullshit excuse that she did everything "for the greater good". She didn't. She messed up, and in an effort to save face and stop the public from knowing, she let bad things happen to good people to cover her own tracks. Nothing edgy about it. He just didn't understand how things worked around him and it pissed him off.

Definitely one of the best versions of Joker. You feel bad for him because he genuinely wants to help Bruce but he knows he can't really do it his way.
damn this game is so dark, and so sad at the same time. this version of joker really fits "joker" itself. batman needs joker, and joker wanted to be like batman, they complement each other. that's why they fight so hard at the end, but they think killing each other is so goddamn wrong. joker messed things up, and batman clean it, but they never really stop each other
I love the ending for this version of the joker. It feels more in character for bruce too, honestly. He's brooding and ruthless but actually does take steps to try and encourage people to heal and holds friendships when he can.
Fighting Joker brought tears to my eyes. This is one of the best renditions of the characters of Joker and Batman that I have ever seen. The slow descent into madness as you realize Bruce really is blinded by his own view of justice, and all the while he's been ripping into Joker for information, he's also come to care for him so deeply.
gonzalo Patino he said ones that he laughs when he’s nervous, I think he thought about the friendship with Bruce. That all will end and he will be abandoned without a friend.
When I played The Walking Dead Season 4, I was an Asshole to Lily every chance I got. Well. I might just do the same for Waller. The Lily Style I guess I'll call it.
Engies Sentry yep, and at 15:05 there’s a sound effect from bloodborne that plays. It sounds like a mixture of the visceral attack and the sound of spawning into the Dream
one thing that's important to john's character is that he's never felt cared for, never felt like he mattered more than just a burden or something to be used. joker is the persona that takes control when john becomes apathetic, hurt, or any other sort of emotional state that overwhelms him, causing a psychotic break/fracture. he's insane beyond repair, but not beyond treatment. like an irreparable oil leak, all you can do is minimize the flow and clean the mess it leaves behind. john has to be contained to protect him from joker as well as the society he can't handle. john's worst fear is being forgotten and fading away, that's why it's so good and important that bruce comes and sees him often, because he never gave up on him, because to bruce; john isn't a burden. the idea of loving your enemy the same way you'd want to be loved goes hand in hand with batmans mantra of murdering a murderer doesn't change the amount of killers in the world. thank you for coming to my ted talk, i rly like dc comics :^]
Anthony Ingruber got the role in these games due to a series of RUclips videos where he convincingly impersonated Jack Nicholson,Mark Hamill and Heath Ledger`s Joker voices.
I remember reading that humans laugh as a response to learning something so new and strange that we don't have a category for it, something totally unexpected. When I hear Joker laughing throughout the fight, I can see how his reality has fallen away, how everything that happens, every realization is so strange and alien to him, like a child seeing the world for the first time.
Seeing how happy John was to see Bruce again at the asylum, I wonder how he would've felt if he managed to succeed in killing Bruce during that last fight.
Terrible most likely. I remember in a previous fight against him, you can fail to dodge one of his attacks, which will cause him to stab Batman. John will then collapse onto his knees with his face looking like, "What have I done?"
Best ending to the game, and one of the best fight scenes EVER. I actually had a mental battle going on during this trying to decide on where I stand for this, I could not decide on if I was going to still find him a friend or not!
Absolutely the best ending. I just felt that it was nice seeing something that I had not seen before. Im glad I went Vigilante Joker and cant wait for season 3
I just finished playing this game and I really wanted to get the best outcome with The Joker, even to the extent of me doing episode 3 twice because the first time I ended up with the villain Joker. When I finished I got this ending. I thought there could have been a better ending to The Joker's story but now after watching this video I am really happy that I got the best ending for him because hell... he's bat**** crazy but so awesome at the same time!
Man, playing this right to the good ending was like reliving the situation with Harvey Dent all over again. I treated him like a damn prince, and it amounted to him getting thrown in a padded cell.
Acid Spartan There’s hope for vigilante joker but that hope doesn’t go anywhere because there’s 0% chances for a third season of this masterpiece plus syndrome is more tragic because he died from the hands of his own childhood hero yup the incredibles is really dark when you think of it that way
Seriously. The ending in the control room made me cry my first play through. I fucking love John, and I love the joker. One of my favorite characters, and one of my favorite portrayals of the Joker in this game as well. Love it.
Fresh monter495 Season 3: Help Joker escape asylum, go after Waller, go against batman's code and kill her. Then batman would have an arc where he tries to discover if murder is truly wrong if its justified and Joker tries to discover himself along the way.
yeh i like the sound of that but i would not kill her coz you know big but man fan boy i could not bring my self to kill some one as but would be down to save joe tho
Fresh monter495 Yeah, that would be leaning too far away from canon. I know a lot of traditional joker fans are butthurt about John Doe and his personality and friendship with Batman. So going against another major Batman point could ruin the game. I just want the next season to be something more, you know? Where Batman and John have a heart-to-heart and try to compromise with eachother about their definitions of justice. And maybe let them work together for most of the season. I'd also like to see more of Joker straying away from Harley, but I doubt that would happen. Maybe something will happen in Arkham, because I find that last part weird. No matter the ending you got with John, you still visit him back in Arkham, which is where Bruce and him first met. The fact that Telltale is bringing the game back there and was always hinting towards it in Season 2, I think a major thing is going to happen there. And there has got to be another season, because the ending here doesn't seem like a proper ending, it feels more like a cliffhanger.

damn this game is so dark, and so sad at the same time. this version of joker really fits "joker" itself. batman needs joker, and joker wanted to be like batman, they complement each other. that's why they fight so hard at the end, but they think killing each other is so goddamn wrong. joker messed things up, and batman clean it, but they never really stop each other
9:44!Minecraft Waterspash sound effect.
heh. It is
Mr. Magistral Malik LOL!
Wow
I dont play minecraft so.i believe u
lmaooo i noticed it too
I love the ending for this version of the joker.
It feels more in character for bruce too, honestly. He's brooding and ruthless but actually does take steps to try and encourage people to heal and holds friendships when he can.
Man, the Joker really has a never ending supply of weapons.
The dude who voiced Joker did an amazing job.
I think joker laughs so much so that he doesn't cry😩
Thats alot of crying then
gonzalo Patino he said ones that he laughs when he’s nervous, I think he thought about the friendship with Bruce. That all will end and he will be abandoned without a friend.
That's what I do lol
Kind of traumatising because of the few lines “crying makes me nervous” this dude is mentally ill, obviously
I loved him I wanted to be friends with him so bad but the game wouldn't let me be a bad guy
This is exactly the dilemma I faced while playing! My exact thought process!
Sakibou fr. I wanted to genuinely join the pact but noooooo
Honestly i hate Amanda Waller, seeing Joker put a camera on her side and a knife on her front actually kinda makes me root for him.
She screwed John so bad. If she had let Bruce reason with him and convince him to give give away the virus, John would mostly be a hero right now.
When I played The Walking Dead Season 4, I was an Asshole to Lily every chance I got. Well. I might just do the same for Waller. The Lily Style I guess I'll call it.
This ending made me cry
Darek Jurczik *made
thx
Same man
Poor Joker.
Well I cried at Give up Batman Ending.
Makes sence how green chemicals sound like Minecraft water
Engies Sentry yep, and at 15:05 there’s a sound effect from bloodborne that plays. It sounds like a mixture of the visceral attack and the sound of spawning into the Dream
When your homie is crazy as fuck, but you'd still watch out for him.
I love the fact that Batman just sits outside and eavesdrops on John and Waller like a gossipy 3rd grader
BEST OUTCOME
RapidFire 556 ok
Kadir Elahwany yes that's exactly it thanks!
Kadir Elahwany yay
Kadir Elahwany yea ikr, like with vigilante it's batman but as villain it's Bruce. It really focused on the relationship between them.
The end makes me so happy. Bruce goes to visit joker since he does truly care for him and joker is so happy. He’s thrilled. It just makes me smile.
one thing that's important to john's character is that he's never felt cared for, never felt like he mattered more than just a burden or something to be used. joker is the persona that takes control when john becomes apathetic, hurt, or any other sort of emotional state that overwhelms him, causing a psychotic break/fracture. he's insane beyond repair, but not beyond treatment. like an irreparable oil leak, all you can do is minimize the flow and clean the mess it leaves behind. john has to be contained to protect him from joker as well as the society he can't handle. john's worst fear is being forgotten and fading away, that's why it's so good and important that bruce comes and sees him often, because he never gave up on him, because to bruce; john isn't a burden. the idea of loving your enemy the same way you'd want to be loved goes hand in hand with batmans mantra of murdering a murderer doesn't change the amount of killers in the world. thank you for coming to my ted talk, i rly like dc comics :^]
I love the way you explained this. Very well thought out
That transition from a normal voice to an insane laugh is amazing... Brings out my sympathy for the character
Its a lot more disturbing without the music
It's a lot more like real life that way.
@@Whimsy3692 Well there do be parts where you should definitely have music because there's a Gramophone playing.
Reminds me of when Joker and Bruce stood on a roof and laughed like old friends.
I love this Batman and Joker friendship!
11:51
Wait... That laugh sounded more like Mark Hamil's Joker Laugh!
Anthony Ingruber got the role in these games due to a series of RUclips videos where he convincingly impersonated Jack Nicholson,Mark Hamill and Heath Ledger`s Joker voices.
@@AspieMediaBobby he did a hell of a job too, I love this joker I'm eben debating on who's my favorite between him and hamill
Seeing John react to Bruce visiting was so lovely!
There won't be, Telltale is shutting down, a pity i suppose.
Here's hoping the group that adopted ttg twd opts to put a s3 for this
Guess who's back!
9:50 "SHIT!"
Original Name i thought it said that as well
I just finished playing this game and I really wanted to get the best outcome with The Joker, even to the extent of me doing episode 3 twice because the first time I ended up with the villain Joker. When I finished I got this ending. I thought there could have been a better ending to The Joker's story but now after watching this video I am really happy that I got the best ending for him because hell... he's bat**** crazy but so awesome at the same time!
I like how they pretty much explained the love and hatred Joker has for Batman.
OH!
I wasn't anticipating how genuinely happy the ending would be with them happy to see each other after the ordeal
Be loved by you, that was hard.
(?) Joker will never forget that
That was so sad
9:45 Minecraft water sound?!
OrangeinfernoFTW i thought that too 😂
Kkk
They have that from minecraft story mode
OrangeinfernoFTW it sound like it but it’s not
3:46 "You're totally right. She SUCKS!"
Man, playing this right to the good ending was like reliving the situation with Harvey Dent all over again. I treated him like a damn prince, and it amounted to him getting thrown in a padded cell.
*Gets stabbed in the chest,* *MOSTLY FINE*
Guy: thought you'd be bigger
Alfred: that's what she said

Jesus, man that scene that hurt to watch
It's time to go on a feels trip
Everybody sees joker as a bad guy, even though he’s Bruce’s best friend
The joker reminds me of syndrome from the incredibles
And eobard thawne
Sa5quatch 14 Yeah, both are very tragic characters whom could have been good :(
Acid Spartan
There’s hope for vigilante joker but that hope doesn’t go anywhere because there’s 0% chances for a third season of this masterpiece plus syndrome is more tragic because he died from the hands of his own childhood hero yup the incredibles is really dark when you think of it that way
That line. “You are one messed up guy” is so powerful lol
everything you did, everything you said was the same as mine in this episode. Except the headbutt and some of the pics.
This Joker is criminally underrated
That last shot in the control room was more sad for me since I smiled for the selfie with Joker during the funeral.
omg, I LOVE this Joker! In some ways it feels like some old cliche but having Joker and Bruce as good friends is such an amazing story!
Seriously. The ending in the control room made me cry my first play through. I fucking love John, and I love the joker. One of my favorite characters, and one of my favorite portrayals of the Joker in this game as well. Love it.
I started crying dudes
We all did
That innocent, non-maniacal laughter at the end. The perfect touch to end the game, really. A truly wholesome friendship.
What a wholesome way to be a friend! We always shock each other and stab ourselves, right?
@@CRCADAN Argument absurdem. Let me know if you want a real discussion.

@@CRCADAN Anything else?
I've been very surprised as to how much I've enjoyed this series's plots since the beginning. Love the different takes it has on the batman universe
This is so sad, even after all the choices to help John. But in the end, Joker thinks Batman is just as crazy as he is for wanting to be his friend
Joker is one tough SOB, he gets the shit beat out of him... and laughs like he just heard the funniest joke on earth
He has a high pain tolerance. I think he enjoys it
He laughs when he’s nervous, but magbe
Guess the 46% were mean and didnt have heart they dont know what true friendship is
Everyone's talking about how this is their favorite Joker, yet they refused to talk about the minecraft splash sound
This would honestly be a solid follow up to the recent 2019 Joker if they took it serious.
It’s just...you knew this was going to happen...but you still felt sad or had something, some feeling when became the joker

If there is not a season 3 I am going to cry
Fresh monter495
Season 3: Help Joker escape asylum, go after Waller, go against batman's code and kill her. Then batman would have an arc where he tries to discover if murder is truly wrong if its justified and Joker tries to discover himself along the way.
yeh i like the sound of that but i would not kill her coz you know big but man fan boy i could not bring my self to kill some one as but would be down to save joe tho
Fresh monter495
Yeah, that would be leaning too far away from canon.
X. AutumnOrange .X yeah that's something I would like because Joe in this game is so likeable are I just wanted a good outcome for him
Fresh monter495
True that. But it is Telltale, they barely ever give happy endings, and when they do there's still that subliminal sad message to it.
Certainly one of the best jokers ever made, such a fantastic and fresh take on this character and, nothing against mark Hamil, but I'm glad they gave someone else a chance to voice this character. SUch a fantastic job. Specially how he says "Soo rude", kinda started to say it the same way when it comes to it XD
It made me sad cause the relationship was good it made me cry when john was getting beat up
i cried when this happened
It’s one thing to suffer from one bad day, but it’s quite another to suffer one bad day with someone by your side.
We all love john
It’s just sad to see him like this 😢😭😢😭😢😭😢
I like this ending better because they still get to stay friends
All he wants is for Bruce to love him!
This is so weird without the music
this game fucking broke me i will never mentally recover from this
I like this version of the Joker the best.
