Patsy is what every female singer has to compare themselves to. She's been gone 58 yrs. & still selling records. Patsy felt every song she sang.

I'm just old enough to remember the 1950s. I was 12 years old as a paper boy in 1957 and this is the kind of music I listened to on KSLR in the newspaper office as the presses ran, and where I rolled my newspapers before delivering them every day first thing after school. This is 50s music, sometimes it's about loneliness, the loneliness of people on the road, stayin' in motels, livin' in cheap lodging in a strange city, takin' long bus rides across country, beer taverns, bus stations, coffee shops, laundromats, pool halls, you know, the 1950s, when life was in black and white, like a black and white TV set.

Patsy was definitely a one off. She was very close friend and mentor to Loretta Lynn. Loretta tells a great story about Patsy's recording of _Faded Love_. That story tells you a lot about Patsy. A very solid example of late 50's country. The movie Coal Miner's Daughter has some amusing sequences relating to Patsy (besides being a pretty good movie).

Patch Client was a true force in country and her music will last for ever, she was scheduled to record a song called Blue but died in that plane crash. The song sat on the shelf until the writer heard a 14 year old girl covering Patty's songs and he asked her if she would record it. This you girl was Leanne Rhymes,I think you would enjoy it
Thank you for keeping the music alive

Patsy Cline is one of the all time greats. She recorded Crazy written by a young Willie Nelson and made it her own. You should do a reaction to that as well as Sweet Dreams..the last song she performed before that awful plane crash. Patsy was my mom's favorite singer and my first introduction to country music.

Oh my, yes, if on a country music journey, then you must go on a Patsy Cline journey. Her voice and talent were other worldly. Her version of “Crazy” is not just a great country song, but I think it’s one of the best songs ever recorded in any genre. If we picked 5 songs to put in a space capsule to send to another planet to represent the very best music we had to offer, showing what music represents, the beauty, emotion, and essence of our humanity that it can convey,… then this would be one of my 5 picks for that. It’s a sublime and stunning performance.
Now with that build-up, how can you NOT react to “Crazy” lol? 😁. It’s truly a classic.
